College Point in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Was a place you had to be careful going to. If you did not live there, or didn’t know the right people. Kids in college point had a gang mentality. I remember guys wearing leather motorcycle jackets. With “College Point” air brushed on the back. Along with the cloaked figure, from the art work inside the cover of Led Zeppelin IV. When I attended Bleecker JHS at the time. Kids from College point openly bragged about terrorizing, and forcing out Jewish and Black families that had moved there.
