Skill issue on the other guys part. Good idea to trap them in. If it's a higher level player with good awareness, they would have known to try and destroy the collapsed environment to flee and regroup. Although it normally would still play out the same for the other guy dying.
If it's meant to be a part of the strategy, then more parts of the map need to be meaningfully destructible. On the Yggsgard maps, there's just not enough things to break to make interesting engages or block off areas. On the Tokyo maps, too many things break completely, meaning you can't get creative with where to break them. The building on 2nd point of the escort map usually just totally explodes, making that entire space an empty no-man's land. There need to be more places to break walls to open new flank routes, escape routes, more pillars that can fall to block off certain routes. Right now it feels tacked on, not an integral part of team strategy. They also don't really break consistently. Too often the holes you make are too small to enter, or the building just explodes completely, or part of the structure just doesn't fall or break how you expect it to.
@untapped8776 Those are great points. I agree on everything. I always thought that environmental destruction in the Tokyo map was turned up to an 11 while other maps felt like there wasn't enough.

Yeah, need to wait for release for final judgement, I think. I'm just bummed you have this over the shoulder 3rd person camera instead of 1st person like OW. Don't think this is for me for that reason alone, sadly.
Dont hold much hope. Games nowadays love to release incomplete. Hoping for the best is fine but dont undermine the game's flaws just cuz its early. If anything criticism should be harsher now so take note of said points while the game is still being worked on.
Maps is obviously something that will change since it's closed beta, and the cc not counting you as a person on a cart is definitely feedback that should be mentioned so it can be corrected. Definitely a technical oversight however the code was written. Don't agree with the destructible environment though. That shit is cool as fuck and something like that where you're blocked off often never happens, and in that event they should have just shot the building in the way. They just weren't thinking cuz they're new and were in a rush. Destruction was adjusted from alpha actually, where it was just pointless since it was destroyed way too fast. I'm not gonna hear OW brain wanting to minimize something that makes this game stand out from OW.
@despair9145 His complaints weren't really valid. It was mostly skill issue problems. The environment is easy to counter by shooting it to destroy it and / or just maneuver around it instead of holding W. The Hulk issue is also the whole purpose of that ability. It completely stuns the person hit by it while not registering them as a person (they don't take damage while stunned). That's why you shouldn't try to defend cart alone against a hulk he can cc you out of it. Yeah, it's annoying, but it encourages moving as a team instead of being solo and a valuable tactic during the game.
@@Theman_JD regardless of if the environment is easy to counter I still believe it’s a valid criticism, I think that mechanic could be worked on a bit more, not saying it’s bad but it could have improvements. Also your opinion isn’t more important than his just like his opinion isn’t more important than yours. Declaring his criticism are not valid is odd.
Destructive environments are supposed to be that way, Flats!! You're supposed to destroy the environment at key points throughout the game to give your team the advantage. The example you used is an example of when to destroy the environment to give your team the advantage. By blocking the path the other team can't touch during the final phase of the round. The ceiling could also be destroyed very quickly, so it's the other team's fault for just pressing W instead of shooting it. It's not a game mistake. It's a skill issue on the other teams part. Also, yeah, I agree the maps do tend to get a bit boring, but it's only the beta. I'm sure there will be more in the next CT.
I was saying the same thing! The difference between Blizzard and Rivals' developers is that the developmental team behind rivals actively wants feedback for anything to make their game better.
I think this is completely disingenuous, Marvel Rivals hasn't even released yet, Overwatch has been out since 2016. People KNOW the ins and outs of overwatch, even a very small issue can feel like a big one. People don't know Marvel Rivals in the same way yet, and maybe once it's also got 8 years of history and a streamer/youtuber culture built around we'll see people saying the exact same things
@@Bodgie7878 I would be careful calling people disingenuous, I genuinely like overwatch. I was clearly comparing the problems that flats brought up in this video to things he and others have said about overwatch in the past. I don't know how you ment "even a very small issue can feel like a big one." to sound. To me it feels like you're down playing overwatch's many large problems that go to the core of the game. Flats was just on a 3 and a half hour long podcast just about 5v5 vs 6v6. Not to mention monetization and overall balance of the game. I can agree marvel is new and release could be a different story but for what was brought up in this video I think it's fair to say there is a large gap between the problems with rivals and OW.
@@__drew9576no offense meant, I apologise - and you do make valid points, overwatch does have it's issues big and small, what I meant by that is that even the small ones can feel big when the optimisation of play has increased so much in Overwatch. I think a good example is Doomfist and his bugs, if you swapped Overwatch and Marvel Rivals and Overwatch had just released (in its current state) people might not even know Doomfist HAS bugs, because they haven't played him before, he hasn't been mastered in this hypothetical. All in all my main point wasn't to put Overwatch on a pedestal, and more the other way round, it's easy to glorify a new release that seems fresh with lots of quickfire changes, and use that to compare against an older live service game but personally at least I don't see Rivals keeping the goodwill it seems to have built up, pissing off your players in a competitive multiplayer game is inevitable
Idk if you every play and moba or even some mmorpg dps roles are aways the most popular why becuase everyone want to be the team carry to get all those kills to get do all the damage.
I played like 7 hours yesterday, it was like 6 in the morning before i wasnt able to only que as helena. 2 dps 2 tanks 2 support. I literally thought it was somehow role locked.
Thinking about the Destructive Environments, it’s fun and The Finals did the same with it. Pretty sure Rivals and The Finals are completely different genres but how can you make a Hero Shooter Unique? Sort of the issue most devs run into and having destructive environments isn’t something easy, it’s hard to add and I’m speaking from experience here. The game overall has seemed to be and feels sort of refreshing because they are trying extremely hard to make something people will actually like and I know they listen to basically all feedback, chances are things will change drastically before release when that happens, obviously. Provide feedback, they’ll listen if your not aiming to just be the casual hater of something because you want to hate it first or whatever, the internet already has so many concerning and abstract personalities
flats saying it wont be a overwatch killer because of some facts bro of course it wont, its in beta and not as complete as overwatch 7 years of game existence (not trying to be mean tho) its only boring because its unfinished... maybe it wont kill overwatch because they are unique in their own way tho
The fact he said being in the same map on beta game is boring is hilarious acting OW1 and 2 isn't the same thing 🤣 even ow1 had their flaws like too especially when they had glitches and bugs.
@@Bardock059 I don't see how that invalidates his point. I feel the same way about the maps. In OW2 beta, there were still more new maps than just 4 (2 variants of the same location, so really just 2 in Rivals). Plus all of the original maps from OW1, but many of them updated. Even small changes at least make the game not boring from match to match. In Rivals beta, you can literally play the exact same map on the exact same side twice in a row. There's so little variance in location. Even one more map would have been nice for the beta. I would've taken new maps over new heroes, to be honest. It's an extremely fun game, but I agree with Flats that only having two maps in the beta makes it super boring if you play it for a long time.
@@untapped8776 it does because that probably smallest issue to criticize about. Literally, the point about betas is just to test how the new game feels compared to other games that are similar to it and report for bugs or glitches before it releases. It just spoils the game if they add more maps
I really hope for maps from across everywhere, not like how 2/3 maps currently are basically Asgard, New York, Wakanda, Latveria, X-men school/estate, wildest thoughts I have are: Venom's home planet, delivering a huge sound bomb to Knull S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier and helping Hydra take over it Avengers tower itself, each point being a floor or two higher, last point is a fight on the very top
people need to realize that to be an overwatch KILLER you would have to make at least 10 out of 20 characters with super addicting playstyles with different personalities that are super enjoyable and memorable, Overwatch has a ton of problems but it has made some of the absolute best characters in the hero shooter genre and thats why even when overwatch was at its least unpopular point it still had thousands of players daily
I honestly believe the heroes in Marvel Rivals are a lot more creative and allow for more skill expression than Overwatch's heroes. The meat is absolutely there for this game. I hope they keep building the bones and make a great game by full release
The skill floor for every hero is way higher than brain dead OW with mercy, Moira, bastion, hog , lifeweaver etc…. U need very little skill to play those heros, if they could they’d make a hero that plays for u, brain dead blizzard.
I mean getting stuck on buildings is kinda the point u can collapse a building to block los or patheays to change up the game they also could have shot a path through the roof anyway
I think that destructible environment is exactly the point in not only can be lucky chance but if you learn where good map breaks are you can lock people out
I agree with the map point and the whole cc thing. But you also see the same thing in OW, even tho you have a lot of maps, a good amount of them are just not fun to play on.
Yeah this was basically my thoughts back when I played the Alpha. It for sure has potential to be a competitor with OW. But not kill it. Didn’t even notice the CC thing till you said it though.
I love how the destructables add another layer to the game, it’s a fun mechanic you have to respect of it can cost you a grey screen or worse the round. It gives Marvel Rivals more of its own identity from the other Hero Shooters

I know you're ragebaiting, like imagine actually, unironically saying it's a Gameboy game. But being disingenuous is disgusting and should be called out.
I don't think the environment needs any changes other than more destructible stuff because the main idea is that you use the environment to push chokes and stuff. Needs more maps.
The maps are definitely one of the biggest issues. I’m so tired of rolling the same exact map on defense four games in a row. I think this game can easily be a big competitor in the space once it’s full release happens.
This game is what I want out of a cross between Smite, Paladins and Overwatch. If I'm gonna play a corpo, shop simulating, casual game, I'll play the fun one that doesn't pretend to be serious.
Destructible environments are a dream we’ve been chasing for decades now, and it still isn’t really there. We’ll get there eventually, but it remains to be seen if all that resource investment will result in truly concrete gameplay improvements. Not at all saying it’s impossible, but I wouldn’t be surprised if in 40 years we look back and decide that it’s a mechanic that just works better in games like Mario and Fall Guys than in shooters, even though it seems like it should be a great fit.
My big issue is that most of the weapons don’t feel like they have enough impact/oomph to them. Maybe it’s just the sound design or it being in third-person but Punisher’s rifle feels like a sprinkler in comparison to Soldier 76’s. The game just feels a bit too light/floaty for me.
The game's sound design definitely needs some work, sometimes watching a team fight feels a bit boring when the fight lacks that oomph from the weapons and from a good soundtrack
Punisher's gun is op! You have to know who to shoot, when to shoot, and where to shoot. Continuously unloading your clip at a tank who has 2 healers will make you feel like your doing no damage, but if you go for a flying dps or solo healer and aim for the head you literally melt through them.
@@Theman_JD I don't think he's talking about effectiveness. He's talking about the feel of it, and I agree. Part of it is the 3rd person view. Another part of it is that there's zero screen shake or recoil or feedback on the character. Soldier's gun shakes back and forth, the hits sound chunky. Punisher just kinda stands still while things come out of his gun and you get a weak little hit sound. There's much to be improved in terms of game feel and juice.
@untapped8776 Yeah, I agree. I think they should also do more with the ui and add more detection for if you're low health. In one of my first games, I was less than half health and there was no detection (it was during a final push in the Yggdrasil convoy) and I got one shot to the dome and I was confused at first because there was no indication whether or not I was low enough to be one shot. If they add that like a heavy breath or perm red screen (until you get your health back), I think that would be more effective. There's already a ton of stuff that you have to look out for and things that distract you in the game. Health should not be hard to see or focus on, especially during team fights where you're way more distracted
i have about 20 hours in like 3 days of playing and i definitely get that early overwatch addiction feeling i had. i love the artwork skins map design even tho there r so few. the abilities all seem to serve a certain purpose. at the lower levels ive seen all heroes to be playable in the right hands (even hulk. watched him solo carry w 40+ kills against me.) i think there are a lot of counters. the only really broken characters that will obviously be patched is venom. i think hela is good where she is maybe a longer cooldown on the stun ability.
They’re actively taking player feedback for core gameplay features which is a good sign, like in the alpha strictures would stay perma broken, but now they kind of rebuild after some time which I think works pretty well. But getting caught on rubble can be annoying, so hopefully they fix that. The lack of maps also is a big issue so I agree with you there, it’s only like 5 or something compared to ow with like 20
No the structures have always come back? Plus...this is a beta, it's not even a full game let alone been out for 8 years to develop additional maps. There's not even all the characters in the game yet from release.
This is why it's called an alpha. This is to test servers and get a bit of gameplay feedback so they can adjust. They only have like 3 maps to play because they aren't trying to get feedback on maps and they probably aren't confident in how well done some maps are. They no doubt have at least like 4 maps minimum getting worked on at the moment.
That, and I'm sure some maps will play differently with the additional heros they haven't released yet. It's like having the F1 track map without the addition of widow, hanzo or Ashe..it's a sniper map.
Care for any examples? Overwatch from what I can recall is the only hero shooter that's been released in the last few years? Paladins literally came out at the same time, couldn't be competition to Overwatch and is still going strong and all the hero shooters before it died way before Overwatch came out. Thing is, overwatch has a special audience, cringe filled them/theirs type people. The type of people who have Rule 34 open on their second monitor. You can't get rid of these sickos, only give them another game to jack off over their flawed ideology, which Marvel Rivals hopefully doesn't do. We have enough of that shit in the MCU as it is and even that barely works.
Agree on the cc part but hard disagree on the destructible environments. Not many games have it where it’s an actual strategic component and while I understand the “unfairness” of it, just enjoy the game. Sometimes it’ll happen to you and sometimes it’ll happen against you
It's not really unfair since you can destroy fallen debris. It's a smart tactic to help give your team the advantage. It's only unfair to newer players that haven't watched or played the game beforehand going against more experienced players in casual matches.
I dunno man, the more I think about being able to cc someone off a point and render them "incontestable" the more I like the idea. Flash backs from unkillable tanks or high mobility characters forcing you to carry on fighting after you've wiped the entire team and giving them time to come back just feels awful to me. Ruins the pace a bit and staggers everyone fighting to contest. The amount of more fun I would have not trying to kill the spin ball overtime machine, the better.
@scotttimbrell8632 Yeah it's not game breaking either. Those cc moves have a decently long cooldown. You can't just spam them at any given moment. You have to use it strategically during team fights or crucial moments in each phase
@@Theman_JD Fact is, Flats is a tank player and is crying that he can't just absorb cc damage and continue to be obnoxiously existing on point. He is cc'd, he isn't contesting. Like I said previously, being able to contest a point solo in a team game ruins the flow of battle. How many games have you won where you went ball or Tracer and was able to save the game based off of frankly swapping and not actually winning fights? Maybe a few right?. Do you find these fights at the end enjoyable? I don't. And in lower ranks of overwatch it's even worse, with either not being able to kill ball/orisia or dying, running to the point as fast as possible and dying 1 by 1. Even games like cod/battlefield (can't remember exactly) have it so you can't capture it contest a point alone, you need more people to overtake the point and actually CONTEST it.
I agree playing the same few maps are kinda boring, but I personally really enjoy the Payload Yggdrasil map. I think the map design is pretty good, and I'd take 10 games ina row on Yggdrasil than a single game on circut royale, junkertown, or havana. Tho I suppose those are some bad outliers in ow's defense, but that's my opinion. The newest peru map was purdy cool tho
Yeah I think the only issue with Yggdrasil Path is the very end of second point. It feels EXTRA crowded there. If it was just a tad bigger around the payload I think the map would basically be perfect
@@theblueone_14 Yeah that tiny tunnel to get back on the kart to contest the 2nd point cap is almost impossible to break if a tank is holding it. There's two other options, but those chokes are pretty tiny too lmao. Minus that tunnel tho I never really gave it too much thought
@@bbombastiq oh I meant like the rocks near the tunnel and the tree on the other side of the Kart path. Theres like 0 maneuvering around it when it gets stuck there
Or, is distractible environment, a legitimate strategy? Everyone knows the environment can be destroyed. So it might be part of mind gaming against your opponents. You know that you can block off a team with distractible environments, and the enemy team knows that that could happen to them, so it Hass to then go into everyone’s planning. On the other hand, perhaps it’s better than some of the stuff that happens in overwatch where it’s more based around which character abilities are in play. If you or they happen to have May they or you could potentially block off one of the paths to get back to the point on time making it so that whichever team needs to get back in touch now what either has to hope that the extra walking distance doesn’t make the difference between win and lose, or they have a character who isn’t necessarily negatively affected by the walls like a Genji or maybe a Phara. now you’re eliminating some of the potential counter play as you no longer have to counter individual characters, but just the environment that the enemy team could use against you no matter which characters they have. Another example would be even worse, Mauga ultimate, which could trap an entire team, and prevent them from getting back to the point on time with the only counter being a MP another ALT from a very specific character. I think any way you look at it my argument still holds strong as this is one place where marvel rivals has overwatch beat. and I will admit, I can probably think of some examples that week in this argument, but I don’t think anything invalidates it completely.
I feel like i remember that ow devs talked about destructible environments too at some point but decided against it because it was too much disruption n chaos in an already chaotic n visually cluttered game. I do wonder if we'll see MR having to do a lot of the stuff ow did to make it more balanced 😂😅
They would need actual developers to do that and if a studio is making 1 map every other season and 1 character every other season, with no actual gameplay changes then I doubt they will completely overhaul fundamentals like that.
The only time the CC overtime thing happened to me was when I used statis on the enemy tank as hulk and I thought I was the smartest man alive. if that's the case with every CC in the game than thats pretty bad.
I'd appreciate it, IF THEY REMOVED SOME OF THE INVISIBLE FUCKING WALLS, So I can kindly introduce the teams to this special thing called a fucking flank.
You can destroy certain walls to flank. There's also a height limit. What I do is go into custom games and try to memorize different paths to flank. It's a good help for me at least when I play Ironman to use his pulse cannon effectively
Ah yes so the meta of flyers can wreak havoc over literally every building. Yes some should be changed slightly for at least the webslingers but don't pretend the walls aren't making the game healthier overall and allowing ground based heros from continuing to be useful getting through chokes.
Stage fatigue is bad right now. Might got domination once in 5 hours. Its annoying to play convoy multiple times in a row on the same map. I think this beta is too long for the amount of stages because they will burn people out on the maps before its even over.
I personally think rivals is the best competition for overwatch. I havent had this much fun in a game like ow since the beginning of ow2 and ow1 metas before orisa sig meta
They need more characters, more teams and 10x more maps. Gaming developers for some reason don't think maps matter. The more maps, the more different each game is.
Rivals is so far ahead of where Overwatch was in its Beta it’s insane. I can’t wait for Overwatch to continue to nose dive in the ground meanwhile Rivals is a fresh new take on arena shooters.

The whole "overwatch killer" is so annoying tbh, people keep arguing if the game will kill overwatch and like, idfc if it'll kill overwatch or not, is the game good? It is? Thank you, moving on
@@pepekovallinLike I occasionally play Paladins. It is no Overwatch killer, but it is fun in its own right, at least for me.
@@cannedsquasher5923 I like Paladins a lot too, but just like Apex, it screwed me over, completely erased years of progression and money put into it, at least it wasn't that much, but still years of playtime and progression and all that sorts of stuff
I mean this game is literally overwatch but with marvel charachters and a better engine slapped on it. That’s literally all it is.
Exactly because ima switch to the other when one gets boring. I love both games so far
i think thats part of the game is using destructible environment like that. It's part of the match to be used at key points. If it doesn't impact the match, than why would it be there in the first place?
Getting stuck under debris and not being able to move or break the environment to get out in a comp shooter is piss poor game design.
Yeah it's not a matter of it "having an effect", it's that it's janky af lol
@@bruhvenantcouldn’t you just play around it by taking it down ahead of time? People will learn maps and important points like that I would think. I haven’t played yet though, hoping to get key still
@@t3chfx13but they could destroy it easily if they just thought to. They just didn't think about it and kept trying to move forward. That would have easily came down if they shot it. This was one of flat's first games against people who were just starting lmfao
It's like complaining that McCree ult kills too many people when it's a team of noobs who don't hide or don't shoot him.
There's nothing wrong with the destructibles, if the enemy team can destroy the wall so can you, it's 6V6
Well the point of the break able enviroment is to use it for blocking chokepoints or destroying highgrounds
Well keep in mind it is the beta so more then likely there should be alot more map options on release as well
You say that, but lately games have a habit of coming out underbaked
@@bright_and_breezy-n2eLately? It's been since at least almost a decade
They at least confirmed 1 new map
Well freaking said
Flats play a game without complaining challenge.
A beta too
@@Theman_JDisn’t that the point tho, to talk about the issues for it to be made better for full release.
POV: You don't know what a valid criticism is
Flats: "3 maps over and over for a couple days 😴"
also Flats: "5 maps over and over for a couple YEARS: 😳"
Destructive environments are supposed to be that way, Flats!!
8 year old game vs closed beta game
Destructible enviroments was a skill issue as any character you can get past rubble fast
The destructible example is literally a skill issue. They straight up got outplayed.
I like the destructible map. It makes new strategies.
Kinda crazy how at the end of the day these are small problems that are easily fixed. Compared to everything overwatch has going on.
My first impression so far:
Open queue has the same issues it did in OW
Too many DPS, not always enough tanks/supports
Well obviously, everyone wants to play dps thats how it is in every game
Idk if you every play and moba or even some mmorpg dps roles are aways the most popular why becuase everyone want to be the team carry to get all those kills to get do all the damage.
I played like 7 hours yesterday, it was like 6 in the morning before i wasnt able to only que as helena. 2 dps 2 tanks 2 support. I literally thought it was somehow role locked.
That's a common moba problem.
Me who likes playing supports😶
Good thing games in closed beta
flats saying it wont be a overwatch killer because of some facts
bro of course it wont, its in beta and not as complete as overwatch 7 years of game existence
(not trying to be mean tho)
its only boring because its unfinished... maybe it wont kill overwatch because they are unique in their own way tho
The fact he said being in the same map on beta game is boring is hilarious acting OW1 and 2 isn't the same thing 🤣 even ow1 had their flaws like too especially when they had glitches and bugs.
Bro just said this game is unique
@@Bardock059it would be a good arguments if it not came out 10+ year after overwatch
What game has like 10 to 20 maps while it’s in closed beta ?
Doesn't need 10 to 20. That's ridiculous.
But more than basically 2 would've been nice.
the enemy team could have destroyed the fallen debris, but they didnt think of that right away wich is why they lost, its on them.
I really hope for maps from across everywhere, not like how 2/3 maps currently are basically Asgard, New York, Wakanda, Latveria, X-men school/estate, wildest thoughts I have are:
Venom's home planet, delivering a huge sound bomb to Knull
S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier and helping Hydra take over it
Avengers tower itself, each point being a floor or two higher, last point is a fight on the very top
people need to realize that to be an overwatch KILLER you would have to make at least 10 out of 20 characters with super addicting playstyles with different personalities that are super enjoyable and memorable, Overwatch has a ton of problems but it has made some of the absolute best characters in the hero shooter genre and thats why even when overwatch was at its least unpopular point it still had thousands of players daily
So uh, this game has that.
I honestly believe the heroes in Marvel Rivals are a lot more creative and allow for more skill expression than Overwatch's heroes. The meat is absolutely there for this game. I hope they keep building the bones and make a great game by full release
Ball
The skill floor for every hero is way higher than brain dead OW with mercy, Moira, bastion, hog , lifeweaver etc…. U need very little skill to play those heros, if they could they’d make a hero that plays for u, brain dead blizzard.
s
That’s the point of destructible structures to make it different and difficult
I mean getting stuck on buildings is kinda the point u can collapse a building to block los or patheays to change up the game they also could have shot a path through the roof anyway
I think that destructible environment is exactly the point in not only can be lucky chance but if you learn where good map breaks are you can lock people out
brother did you expect an abundance of maps in a closed beta?
I agree with the map point and the whole cc thing.
But you also see the same thing in OW, even tho you have a lot of maps, a good amount of them are just not fun to play on.
really good insight for the devs to work on

This game is phenomenal. Marvel snap made me fall in love with Marvel for the first time and I'm familiar with how huge the lore and character base is. I cannot wait to see what this game brings. Haven't had this much fun since ow1 beta in 2016.
"phenomenal" is definitely not the word for this game

How is that not stale to anyone playing overwatch? People who've played the same game from when Echo was released to when overwatch 2 was released. Nah I love that the terrain interrupted their getting on the point. That's a strategy right there!
I don't think the environment needs any changes other than more destructible stuff because the main idea is that you use the environment to push chokes and stuff. Needs more maps.
For a closed beta though this is definitely one of the best ones I’d say up with the Finals’ beta
The maps are definitely one of the biggest issues. I’m so tired of rolling the same exact map on defense four games in a row.

When is the full game coming
Pretty bold coming from an OW player 😂
This game is what I want out of a cross between Smite, Paladins and Overwatch. If I'm gonna play a corpo, shop simulating, casual game, I'll play the fun one that doesn't pretend to be serious.
"This is not a overwatch killer"
My brother in Christ that shit is dead
Health should not be hard to see or focus on, especially during team fights where you're way more distracted
the destructible environment could definitely disappear once destroyed or be able to walk through once it hits the ground 🤔
If a building fell on you, makes sense to be stuck
Even the training bots float like bro🤣
One time I was playing a game, and a destroyed building just responded, and I got stuck in the building 😢💀
i have about 20 hours in like 3 days of playing and i definitely get that early overwatch addiction feeling i had. i love the artwork skins map design even tho there r so few. the abilities all seem to serve a certain purpose. at the lower levels ive seen all heroes to be playable in the right hands (even hulk. watched him solo carry w 40+ kills against me.) i think there are a lot of counters. the only really broken characters that will obviously be patched is venom. i think hela is good where she is maybe a longer cooldown on the stun ability.
Time to add Nightcrawler and Ant Man to teleport and shrink past destructible environments 🥰

It’s only the beta, so they will probably add maps on launch and moving forward

Marvel Rivals is the LTG to Overwatch's tendency to self harm
Like some people have already said ow is more likely to kill itself before any other game has a chance
The thing where they couldn’t touch because the collapsed environment is a feature. That’s a good thing and how it should be.
It's been said before and I'll say it again, Overwatch is it's own killer.
Is controller better or mouse?
games try to be overwatch and overwatch always beat them.
games try to kill overwatch and overwatch always beat them too.
Maybe they can lower the health pool on the destructive environments so they can be destroyed more easier 🤔🤔
I mean the game isnt out yet if i remember correctly, so they may add more. And more polish as well
My hope is that the more support this game gets the further away from OW it will be. Different UI, Marvel unique maps, so on.
I feel the exact same the game is extremely fun but repeating the same maps gets tiring. But so far the game is high quality
This game is doing reallt well for an alpha tho. I think the offical release will slap
Them getting stuck that behing rubble is simply a skill issue lol. None of them were trying to break through it
You fools watch is the over watch killer also
It would have put a dent in OW if it was first person
The only time the CC overtime thing happened to me was when I used statis on the enemy tank as hulk and I thought I was the smartest man alive. if that's the case with every CC in the game than thats pretty bad.
It looks identical to overwatch in like UI and sounds. Kinda funny, makes it feel cheap I think
If I play it, I'ma one trick jeff
I didn't hear a thing about this, wow.
Destruct able environments should open up new pathways, not close existing ones
imagine if overwatch had levelutions
I only remember ever playing 3 maps when i played overwatch. I dont see a issue here
Can't kill something that's already dead
can't kill something that's already dead now, can we?
They need more characters, more teams and 10x more maps. Gaming developers for some reason don't think maps matter. The more maps, the more different each game is.
Rivals is so far ahead of where Overwatch was in its Beta it’s insane. I can’t wait for Overwatch to continue to nose dive in the ground meanwhile Rivals is a fresh new take on arena shooters.
I think you got cc'd by hulk, and that's why it made you not count as a player on the point. If it was another character idk though
The game is in its damn beta
Let’s just hope in the future, this game doesn’t go for pricy micro transactions like skins, which is what OW2 is doing and not a lot of people are fond of it, and if they do bring a PVE, let’s hope they finish it.
Not sure if it will be a pro game but I know this game will do well in the first year. Based off OW which people love, marvel characters and free. The sky is the limit really. I'll be playing it!
That issue seems like it’ll go away. It’s a beta and they’re only showing you these maps so you’ll get a fix for more
If its developers treat it's players with respect, it'll beat overwatch
