Apart from the music, one of my favourite things about this band is that all members, old and new seemed like a big family. Eric continutally made guest appearances, Jochem kept writing and producing after he left, and they thanked every single one of their past members when they announced their break-up. No feuds, lawsuits or bad blood. This band truly was just a bunch of amazing people making amazing music together. What an absolute blessing they were.
Textures brought me to the realm of metal and I feel a kinship with Eric. These lyrics are all part and parcel to the human condition. It's beautiful to see this comraderie within the scene.
What a fucking shame they splitted... my favourite band. Even though the post Silouhettes era wasn't my favourite, They clearly hit hard and had a huge impact on me musically. We finally had something new rythmically and melodically speaking, man "Touching the Absolute" is out of this world... Eric is one the best metal vocalists in history. I am a little dead inside.
i started to listen them very late, when Phenotype album came out, but even i felt empty inside when i heard about break up, this band left a mark on me musically too. I miss them
