Wow! I now understand why trees tip over in a strong wind storm.
As a gardener who runs into tree roots constantly when I dig to plant things, I can see why Jerry wanted that root ball out the way he did it.
He is a MASTER operating that Bobcat. Impressive!
I loved how the drone shot at Spring Hill gardens revealed the design that wasn't as evident at ground level. Your pattern sounds fun to work with.

Yesterday, I bought a leather belt at Goodwill. I told the cashier my plans for it. I had a mature maple tree removed a couple years ago because it had two leaders, it was forked. That made me nervous so down it went. The forester left me the section with the fork. Turned upside down, it looks just as if a guy is standing knee-deep in the soil. 😆 I'm going to screw this belt around the "waist" and add a touch of whimsy to my front garden. The cashier said that made her day!
Neighbors strolling by with their dogs or kiddos comment on my garden's progress. I tell them, "Just wait." 🤪

That was such fun watching Jerry on the bobcat! Thank you for sharing the footage of the “ controversial “ tree removal. You could easily have left that out so you wouldn’t have to deal with the pushback. Good grief, you’re surrounded by trees and as you said you’ll be planting more, not to mention how much will be planted for the pollinators! 😊 I’m looking forward to the development! 👏🇨🇦

So smart to plant what you sell so the customer can see the plant growing in the ground . My favorite garden nursery in my area ( Hilltop farms ) did that and it helped me make decisions. They closed the nursery and retired . Made me sad , no other nursery in my area ( ozarks region) does that .
