Totally agree with all of these! (Could lose the transition sounds in the video, tho. It's a bit much with the music.)

Marble in the kitchen and in the bathrooms is absolutely worst. It gets ruind day one if you use your kitchen as intended, cooking. for people who looks at it. Marble is the worst material

Extend the Spf 30 from your face to your neck and chest, your 40 year old self will thank you! I do own the Haunted Mansion crocs and no, they are not for the faint of heart. I get what you're saying about the cartoonish images, but those kind of remind me of the stretching portraits and the neon takes me back to my 90s childhood, so I'm good with the color too.

Great video, lots of photo examples, but that whooshing sound between examples is very distracting and conflicts with the background music. Love your channel!

Marble, more expensive, really? This is craziness

Plenty marble and quartz are busy. Quartzite is also naturally busy. No one talks about the fact quartz is not warranted against heat damage, and is less heat resistant than granite. It’s a kitchen. . . Plenty of updated and high end appliances are available in white. Old school white appliances are not on the same level. If you use your under bed areas for storage, hardwood flooring is challenging. Straight lines are for modern and contemporary design, not so with traditional design. Just some thoughts. . .

I agree Granite over Quartz is the way to go. Granite offers color

Never ever ever would I think Nina Takesh would say that tile that mimics wood are amazing! They are disgustingly tacky and cheap. Absolutely not luxury. They're faux. Get wood floors or stone tile floors but not tile that looks like wood.

1st here. Yay! Love paneled appliances. Not enthused about stainless steel countertops. Still Love wall to wall carpet. Gotta figure out how to get beyond that. White appliances…NO! Sheer curtains, Roman and electronic shades…yes! Wallpapered walls are fantastic. Love this segment!

Have lLV flooring and I have not found a rug pad yet that doesn’t yellow the floor. And my floor is light color and it shoes.

My complaint with paneled appliances is what do you do when the appliances need to be replaced in 10 years? Can you remove the panel off the old appliance? If so, will it fit properly on the new appliance

      I seriously doubt it...

The type of appliances that are panel ready, will probably outlast your kitchen.

This video made me laugh all the way through🤣 We just installed new cabinets and granite countertops with live edge granite backplash, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Everything else, including the cabinets, is very neutral. We also installed new carpet a couple yrs ago, except the kitchen and bathrooms, of course. The part about tile that looks like wood. Wait, what!?! And bamboo shades? Oh, and we're planning on doing an accent wall in the living room soon. Too funny to take seriously.

I don't have granite countertops, but 5 years ago it wasn't "dated". So...for someone who hates being considered "dated", they should rip out the granite? How INCREDIBLY stupid.
I agree that tiled countertops are not great, but not for any "dated" foolishness. They're just not practical.
I refused wall to wall carpeting when I bought a house in 1991. Had nothing to do with being dated, but everything to do we with the lovely natural wood flooring. (It was my mother who wanted me to have wall to wall carpeting).
I absolutely LOVE the two accent walls I have.
    Dated, schmated.
I don't like slogans on walls. No problem with that. Even when they were trendy.

Next you’ll be telling us to stop wearing nylons and platform shoes with fishes in the heels. People stopped doing these long ago. Nobody decorating their house today is doing any of things.

Stainless steel is a headache to maintain. Every streak and finger print shows.
Marble has to be regularly sealed and is highly porous. For the 'average modest' home, laminate is a great performer on benchtops. Easy to clean and minimal maintenance. Budget friendly too.
In my home the bedrooms are carpeted.
What is an extra large rug? The answer: a portable carpet.
The bedrooms have much less foot traffic than a loungeroom/ living room.
Some of the 'outdated trends' examples make sense in traditional home interiors.
Colour drenching will be outdated in 2 years. I'm sticking with my accent wall. I remember when wallpaper was outdated.

I don’t think color drenching will be out in 2 years. It’s already been a thing for a long time, it’s just recently been given this name. Not to mention, unlike accent walls, it’s too bold for most people to actually try, so it’s always unique when it’s seen in the wild.

  • @firestick4991

Love color drenching. I can’t get enough.

When you replace your kitchen in another 5 years you can change the panels!? 😂

      You _can_ change them.

I have seen beautiful granite counter that rivals marble. I have white cafe appliances and enjoy them. When I renovate my kitchen, I will panel ready my fridge and dishwasher.

Thank you Nina ! Where can I find sheer drapes ? I have been looking for a while and can’t find a good quality one . The linen material is very casual and the ones made of polyester look very cheap .

I love my Quartzite. It looks like marble. It's expensive, but beautiful. Well worth it
