The clutch has been altered, even though those gears were using straight pinons you cannot switch gears that fast unless you are using a special clutch and it sounds very different on each gear change. There is a strange gap between the first gear and the second gear where it stalls at around 4,000 rpm and then suddenly it wakes up and smashes the 8,200 rpm in a glimpse. That is not the normal VTEC behaviour. I would say the first gear was already engaged when the car started moving so the second gear entered at almost 70km/hr and the 3rd gear at roughly 100 km/hr. 4rd gear clearly engages at around 142 km/hr. Is that normal for a VTEC engine? I own the 1993 Civic Vti and it doesn´t sound at all like that.

Don't u ruin the engage by driving above normal, however u call that thing for shifting gear numbers... I know that at like 5000+ the engine gets affected by it... Or this is a modified engine? Just asking out of curiousity, i dont know much about this as a new driver 😁
Well driving will always wear on the engine and yes, the more load you put on it(high rpm's and/or just really pushing it), the faster things will break. But there's nothing that can't be fixed ofcourse and it is especially for my engine necessery if i want to go quick to drive at high rpms bcause thats where all my power is. Below 5000 i dont even have vtec, it kicks in at 5800
Hondas were designed to be driven like that, or sedately for economy .The gearboxes and engines were bombproof, even chucking a 2.0, K20 in an EG works fine. Running a turbo on a 1.6 engine is more likely to have issues. I would sooner have a well looked after EG than a new Hyunda i20 complete with fake cabin noise, sadly very hard to find in the UK.
The b18 cams, lightend flywheel, stage 3 clutch. Aftemarket intake manifold, open airfilter. Spaghetti exhaust manifold and aftermarket exhaust pipe. I think thats about it
I never claimed it was stock, it was making about 170hp, also the video never showed it did 6 seconds to 100kph, it was more like 6.8 something, which isnt that hard to believe, bcs it does 7.2 stock
In the Vtec Honda redline merely indicates that you might consider shifting in the foreseeable future.
