This is how you get the disposable junk that pass for products today…that being cheap and looking decent in the box or first use is all a business needs (and who cares if it breaks immediately after). Up until recently, if you bought a tent, shoes, vacuum cleaner, etc. you expected it to last at least 10 years, if not the rest of your life. Companies bragged and prided themselves on quality and excellence. The price was higher, but which costs more: a 300 dollar Target vacuum cleaner that breaks every 2.5 years, or one 1000 dollar vacuum cleaner that lasts 10-15 years? The need for more cheap things, rather than a few good ones, is just bad all around (consumers, wages, the environment, etc).
Some of these don't look half bad for what you get. Though they do seem to be aimed at people who plan on going as a group, or at least for more than one user. Did you ever find what you were looking for?

1st tent: a 2 quarter tent with large rainfly 2nt tent: a small , packable cabin, not a tent 3rd tent: an over priced normal one man 4th tent: 7 minutes of pumping with a large pump, with no one would take camping, so about 30 minutes with a small " camping" pump 5th tent: 17 pounds? What the hell? Why so heavy?!? 6th tent: " echo capsule tent... Each one of these HOUSES... Costs 94k" um, no, that is not a tent, using that is not camping 7th tent: 34 pounds. Enough said 8th tent: that's a collapsible car garage, sorry Coleman 8th tent: if it rains anyware in the world when your in that tent, your getting wet 9th tent/hammock: got nothing, it wouldn't be very water tight in hammock form but as a combo it's good

I'm not really sure why using air as a tent pole increases the cost 3-6 times that of a standard pole tent of equal square footage, but it does drop the weight by a rough equivalent so maybe that's what they're getting at. As it stands the little hammocks are probably the most interesting to me. nothing like a hammock that can let you sleep through a rainstorm.
