What a magnificent theater! We have our own ornate, classic theater here...affectionately known as The Majestic Ventura Theater (Ventura, California), although smaller and less opulent than this one (as are most theaters, even in the LA theater district). It opened in 1928 as a film and Vaudeville venue. Here's some info...we're proud of it. :-) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventura_Theatre
Back in 1985, I was bumming around downtown Los Angeles and this theatre was showing Spanish-language movies. I went in and bought a ticket. The Mexican staff was like, “You’re a white boy. Do you speak Spanish?” I didn’t but I figured out the movie as I went along. Good times.
Oh, I love the Cameo, I wish that theater was mijn own home theater, I wish i can live in that theater as my own home, I love the design and marquee, I love historic and nostalgie theatre buildings and other symmetrie historice buildings that look like theatres, I'm a theater enthausiast!
One of my favorite places in LA! I've been to some crazy fun events there! I had all access for awhile too!! Creepy at night!!! I have some stories from that place!!
@@joshbarreras7255 is that right? Cool!! Long ago I volunteered to participate in the remodeling of the Palace. Like 20 years ago. I painted the old dressing rooms. I was told that everyone for Laurel and Hardy to Charlie Chaplin.....even Houdini had performed there! Supposedly the most haunted building in LA. I was at a horror movie festival there one time. A cable satellite dish fell from the roof and shattered on the sidewalk far below in a crowd of people. A story piece struck a girl in the hand.....it looked quite broken. Everyone panicked and started screaming about ghosts. I happened to see a friend of mine (RIP) clothesline that dish like a wrestler and send it hurling off the building. Dumbass. The theater never had us back. Wonder why. Ha! Anyway
Very cool. You showed added access that people who attend the L.A. Conservancy's "Last Remaining Seats" film series do not receive. Thanks for posting.
What about doing a video on the old theaters like the old Orpheum/Palace theater, Arcade theater and the upstairs. Every theater that we can't see inside.
The WurliTzer pipe organ, which was playable, disappeared along with the State theatre WurliTzer years ago because a certain person wanted a big instrument for his Sylmar palace. It would be nice to have the Los Angeles theatre restored complete with pipe organ but I doubt that will happen. These venues just don't pay.
I think the Broadway District looks good like Hollywood and every theaters on the Broadway District should have a newer digital projectors to showcase newer movies from major or art-house movie studios like Walt Disney Pictures, 20th Century Fox, 20th Century Fox Searchlight, Sony Pictures (either under Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, or Sony Pictures Classics), Warner Bros. Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and Paramount Pictures.
Can somebody please do a VR 360 and the 60fps Video of Los Angeles Theatre exploring? Because have an Oculus Quest 2 So it looks more realistic than using the tv flat screen 4K.
It has been tried and it's too dark. Horrific amounts of noise make the picture look awful. That's even with pro equipment. It either needs a pro crew to light all of it at great expense, or wait for another 10-ish years assuming camera sensors continue to improve as they've done over the last 10 years.
Black Swan Bangtan
Yea!
Agreed

I can't believe Jin was in the ornate mirrored ladies powder room 😶💜 the more you know. Now I now what all the mirrors were for 💜

The Los Angeles theater serves up a detailed hint of the lost Fox Theater of San Francisco.
