Japan is beautiful I fly there twice a year direct from Chicago (13 and a half hour flight direct) for my work. They normally take a real northern route up over Alaska then down. Usually it's dark across till we start heading south. Then in the summer its light up over Alaska. I've seen the Aurora lights.
I concur with Gabriel. This is a beautiful takeoff from Tokyo. I've never been to Japan, but I am seriously considering a trip there in the near future.
The quality of this video IS. ASTOUNDING!!! Every details from take off to landing are there! From crystal clear announcement to engine noises to plane rattling noises, heck even the camera was able to capture the landing gear retracting from the shadow of the plane during take off!! That is pretty damn impressive! I used my 34 inch monitor with surrounded sound system, turned up the volumn, and put on 4K. I felt like I was really sitting on the plane! Talk about immersion! Bravo to you sir for taking such a high quality video!

@@gimmeahorse sometimes, but it's normally not a big deal, i just take a deep breath and focus myself on sleeping, a movie or whatever i am doing at the moment. I hate when i spill some of my drink because of turbulences but this doesn't happen that often
@@RizZaTV Oh wow, I wish I could be that composed 😳 Sounds annoying that your drink spills, but as long as it's only that. I can't even sleep while I'm on a train or a bus, but I guess if you're on a long flight you eventually just fall asleep.

1:39:00 - you're still flying over all sea? I thought you'd be over land again by this time 1:53:53 - finally land below. The Sea of Japan is bigger than I thought 1:56:05 - that's the southeastern bit of Russia. The plane's flying in a steep northwestern direction, which shows by 4:10:22 when they reach Vilyoy river, Sakha Republic, which is way north. (they did earlier fly straight over Niigata, Japan, which is on a coast facing almost straight northward)
By the way, could you please tell me with what camera did you record this video? The audio quality is fabulous! I love the openness of the sound. Thank you so much.
What a magnificent machine this B747-8i is! I just wish Boeing didn't let the MD merger stall them for so long, messing around with the ad hoc Sonic Cruiser. Perhaps the -8i would've come to market earlier, thereby achieving a better sales record. Nothing against the A380, it's a remarkable jet, too. But the legendary history and ever more graceful lines of the Jumbo Jet are simply irreplaceable. And it's actual performance, incredible! Of course, the big Super Twins are the future but it would've been a more interesting aviation scene to have a few more of these beauties in it!

The reason of the cut is that 1 year ago my SD cards were not big enough to film 12hours 4K full flight (now I can film without exchanging SD card!) so I exchanged SD card. I am using external batteries so battery.
I’m kind of scared. Because in next 5 months I’m leaving the country. I have the feeling I will cry so much with him ( best friend :-( And after being in the flight, I won’t sleep, I know. I will cry and I will be sad and smile and be sad... after reaching there, it would be so like night and sleepy.... I would look in the phone and see it’s connected to 4G.... wow

I wish it was still only 11 hours. Nowadays they have to fly the other way. Over Alaska, Canada and Greenland. about 14h usually. You wouldn't that's such a huge change but when you are confined to economy those extra three hours become torture.

How large was the memory card?
Now I am using 400GB SD card. But that time 200GB and 128GB.
Just wondering hos many GB size this entire vídeo...
