The high and low pressure line that goes into the rack will those loosen up when you take the bolt I’m trying to replace the high pressure line and I can’t get it to pull out idk if I’m doing something wrong or what?
I just ordered my replacement rack and pinion. Is it really necessary to replace the low and high pressure lines? I know it’s a good thing to do, but I didn’t want to add more to the cost of this job.
If you don't replace them make sure you clear the cooler and lines of all old fluid. You might also check RockAuto for parts. I did the rack, tie rod ends, and hoses for less than what just a rack cost at the parts stores.

It will be a lot easier if you drop the subframe
I'd have to disagree with it being easier, but there is more than one way to get certain jobs done.
