One of the best covers ever. And only Tool could pull it off.

This is probably one of the very few cases where I prefer the cover to the original. This shows the greatness of TOOL, who manage to take a track of an exceptional band that made music history and improve it.

Exactly this. Now, I don't have to type that out. Thanks.

This song was originally supposed to have been on the Led Zepplin tribute album "Ecomium," but when the record label complained about the length of the song, TOOL balked on it.
Adam said "I never once listened to a Pink Floyd song and said "Wow, this is a really long song. It's not "radio friendly."

Probably sounds muffled because it's a live track. They remastered it for the album. Nice reaction, bro

FYI - the video has nothing to do with the song or Tool. So, better to stick with a straight audio reaction. IMO

yep, every time! Pretty much audio only with Tool, videos are way to distracting to the 'message' !

Again though lyrics are terribly incorrect

Great reaction. First time seeing this video to No Quarter. Must be fan-baked. Ok... even though it's well-made I think it does a disservice to the song and your reaction. Without the video, the audio alone takes me to a cold black abyss. Ice & snow. I feel isolated, abandoned, and distraught. Desperate. With the video ALL that's gone and it's become a cute little monster story with a twist. I can see why the video creator went there, but... meh. To me it really ruined where the song should take you.
...which brings us to Tool Rule #1. Do not react to music videos. They take you completely out of the musical experience. Even "official" Tool videos are problematic for reactions. Those ones are too interesting, creepy, weird, disturbing, enlightened... it's all the above. Most "lyric" videos are ok. But not the ones with editorial content. It's up to listeners to get out of the song what they can.
    Tool Rule #2, headphones. ✔︎
Tool Rule #3, Studio versions first. They can play it live, but the time and precision they put into studio recordings should be heard first to experience the song's true "vision" IMO.
Try "The Pot" next. Or "Sober"꩜
