It annoys the daylights out of me that offices will cancel and charge a fee when a patient is late. No problem when the doctor is behind because he was with another patient but I literally was the first patient of the day and the doctor was an hour late. No one knew where he was. Didn’t care that he made anyone wait when he finally came.
Then there was the nuclear medicine scan that they started an hour late. Again i was the first patient of the day. i left at 5am to make sure i made it even if there was traffic. They said the doses were stuck in traffic and that it happens all the time. When i asked why they dont leave earlier or stop scheduling people for that first appointment i was told "that doesnt make sense from a business perspective."
then there is the doctor that will cut out exactly when the appt was supposed to end even if he came late. My 30 minute appt got cut in half because the clinic assistant was late and god knows blood pressure has to be taken at the beginning not end. much nicer to cost me time with the doctor instead

I had a vaginal ultrasound visit one time and I was told ahead of time to drink (insert this amount of water) plus not to go pee just one hour before the visit. It wasn’t a small amount of water. I was in waiting room and kept on having to hold it in. Eventually, the tech let me go when she called my name. I wasn’t even pregnant.
