The Pavillion was 75 cents and Koufax and Drysdale were striking for $100,000. Today, you have to mortgage your house to buy a ticket to a game. And I used to fall asleep listening to Vinny on my transistor radio. How things have changed.
At this point, our Dodgers are definitely the MLB's super villain/Avengers of MLB. But we love that. Let's build and start the dynasty! When they say the Dodgers are ruining baseball, they are not. Other teams are just not aggressive stacking up players for their team and improve their roster.

Nobody is mentioning one the obvious advantages for players deferring their money. They are getting free generational wealth financial help. Instead of players having to worry about being their best on the field most of them have to deal with massive amounts of money. It would seem they welcome the financial stability that comes with having professionals handle their money now and in the future. Most people who get windfall wealth have incredible stress to manage it and keep it. This is the United States. It’s actually relatively easy to make money. Keeping it is the hard part. I can see other teams making financial deals with the Guggenheim group. They don’t just see Dodger Blue, they see dollar bill green. Any team could and should approach them to help with financials. If baseball teams don’t do it watch NBA and NFL teams figure it out. It’s an easy way around a “hard” cap.
