    I happened to bump into this series by accident, but I've been hooked. I've grown up in church all of my life , but I've never heard such a deep and applicable word on relationships. This was on time. Thank you for posting this!!!!

    I was disappointed Robert wasn’t preaching but in all honesty this one hit home more than any sermon he preached all year for me. It’s always when you don’t want to or don’t feel like it or judge before you even give them a chance that you get the best results and form the best relationships.

    I was following up until around 17:30 where you state “the devil doesn’t lie, but he does deceive.” Could you explain what you mean by this because in John 8:44, Jesus discusses the enemy as the father of lies and states, “When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
    Thanks in advance for your reply!

      He said the “serpent” doesn’t lie but he deceives.. I believe referring to the specific story.

    • @crumbsnyums
      @crumbsnyums Год назад +1

      he was saying that the serpent didn't lie to eve, she wouldn't die instantly from eating of the fruit but the serpent deceived her because she would die spiritually. He didnt go into detail for sake of time but that is what he implied when he compared it to the fake klay thompson who didnt lie and say he was Klay but he was being deceptive by not telling the truth that he wasnt klay. In my book the serpent lied because omission is lying.

    • @ItsallabtChrist
      @ItsallabtChrist Год назад

      Not everything the devil says and does is out of lies. It's not exclusive to the story with the serpent, it's how the devil works in general. His whole desire is that we be deceived, one way he does that is lie but that's not all he does. In the wilderness with Jesus, he didn't lie when he used scripture. He just misinterpreted intentionally to deceive Jesus into doing what he wanted. He's the father of lies, but not everything he speaks is a literal lie, it's all about deception. We're more inclined to disobey God when we're deceived rather than simply lied to. When you know the truth, it's hard to fall for a lie, but when you're not disciplined, it's easy to be deceived by truth that sounds good.

    • @ItsallabtChrist
      @ItsallabtChrist Год назад

      Another way of thinking about it is we're sinners in our nature as the devil is a liar in his. However, everything we do isn't necessarily sin, and everything he does isn't lie. When we understand the devil will do more than lie we become more aware of his schemes. He wants us to think his intention is limited to lying when really his lies are a part of his plan rooted in deception that leads to disobedience to God
