Fun fact: Grog is so happy about growing a beard because canonically Goliaths can't grow facial hair naturally.
I was just about to say that😂
That's true for the campaign, but I believe for the tv show they took some liberties with that.
@@shadowfireswordit's a belt of dwarvenkind, it makes you grow a beard regardless of gender or race
hes half-goliath i think
@@mjgamerfox6557 In the campaign itself he's a goliath. In the TV show he's instead half-giant.
Vex's death during the livestream was just...such a shock. Everyone was joking around about the trap and Percy setting it off. Then Matt asked Laura if the hit brought her below 0 in HP and the way her face dropped and the rest of the cast/audience realized what was happening as he described how she was thrown back was one of those moment man. It was such a shit just got real events
To be fair, Kash really did save Vex with his spell: the deal that Vax made with the Matron of Raven simply convinced her to allow that spell to have an effect.
The conditions to revive someone are the soul must be free and willing (and also can't have died from old age)
Vex was willing, but she was in the Matron's territory, and SHE gets to decide if she allows a soul go. Resurrection isn't free and easy to do.
So Vax got permission to revive her, but Kash was still needed to actually perform the spell. Team effort. Yay.
It was like that in the game, after all; Matt did not know what they where going to roll when Vax deided to do the soul offering... but even if the resurrection actually went smothlly; he liked so mutch the concept of Vax selling his soul to save Vex, that he reconned that it was very influential...
...and I think that for the show they reconned further away to do it even more dramaticall; stating that the Raven Queen was not going to allow the magic to work until Vax offered his soul
The glowing threads are eventually explained, but you guys are absolutely picking up on a lot of stuff most reactors don’t, and it’s so cool to see as a veteran critter!
Also the poison and acid dragons are different. The conclave consists of:
1) Brymscythe (killed in the prologue episodes) - Blue - Lightning - “the iron storm”
2) Umbrasyl - black - acid - “the hope devourer”
3) Raishan (the only female in the group) - green - poison gas - “the diseased deceiver”
4) Vorugal - white - ice - “the frigid doom”
5) Thordak - red - fire - “the cinder king”
I am so sad the hyphenation joke about Umbrasyl did not get adapted into this show. "He was originally called just Umbrasyl the Hope. And then marriage effed everything up."
Right? I'm just watching this again and saw that Vax was looking at a cartouche which showed all the vestiges! I totally missed that! GREAT EYE!
Acid and poison are two seperate dragons
yeah, lots of comments in the first one mentioned that. Guess we'll see how many episodes they release before looking at their comment section.
@@lazydk2654 These videos are also recorded long before they are uploaded to RUclips, so trying to correct them in the comments only helps with engagement.
@@TheLyokoWarriorsmaybe them getting info wrong is on purpose, just to help with the engagement 😂
I don’t even know how they mistake the two as the same dragon, besides scale color they look nothing alike.
In that first episode, Vex was hit with an instant kill spell. Just... dead because she didn't dodge it in time. It makes sense when you're in the Death Goddess's temple, but still shocking to see every time.
The Vestiges of Divergence are no joke.
I don't remember, but what killed her wasn't the armor itself, but a trap on the coffin wasn't it?
@@captin3149correct.
It also wasn't an instant kill spell exactly, it was a spell that dealt a large amount of necrotic damage and kills you if it brings you to zero. She was hurt from a previous fight and so the trap was enough to kill her.
It actually wasn't an instant kill spell, she was just still low on health from a previous fight, and the necrotic damage she took, took her below zero. And the deal with necrotic damage is that if it causes you to fall unconscious, you die.
@@TheSansationalSans Necrotic damage on its own doesn't have any special properties. It was a specific property of the trap that if it brought you to 0 you died instantly.
Hopefully I can say this without it being too much of a spoiler:
There have been multiple campaigns of Critical Role, and in some of them (I won't say which), main characters have died and the player had to invent a new character to keep playing. So yes, main characters can die.
And BTW, Vex's death is taken pretty much beat for beat from the campaign. She DID die and Vax really had to make that deal to save her.
And when Vax (Liam) made the offer to save Vex, that was a surprise to Matt who wasn't expecting it but thought that it made for an interesting story and decided to pursue it with the table. That scene has been important to Critcal Role ever since.
Vax did not have to make a deal, he could have made any other kind of contribution to the ritual but he chose to bargain his own life. An important distinction imo because everyone wants to make RQ out to be the bad guy for "stealing" Vax away when it was his own damn fault for not valuing his life
Grog is wearing a belt of dwarvenkind. It lets you grow a beard, speak the dwarven language, and your Constitution increases by 2.
The main difference between D&D and a regular show is there is no plot armor (normally) in a D&D game. Your character dies, your character is dead. Period. Are there ways to revive said character? If you have the spell loaded and the materials, yes. Otherwise, you roll up a new character and your previous character's story is over.
Actually the belt allows him to read dwarvish, but the funny thing is Grog can't read.
I mean more recently D&D has become much more of a story based game, so at many tables if the player wants their character to come back the party can go on a quest to get them resurrected or whatever
@@Lenny-ue8hk Depends on the group though, never really got into critical role so not sure how they handle it. I have seen it range from death is an open door "Bob's dead! Walk it off, walk it off." through rare and the party needs to quest into only a god may restore life and there is always a high price for it. Given Vax made a pact with death and is now bound to her I suspect they may lean more towards the later.
@@liamwarner5749 Well lets just say in the campaign every member of Vox Machina died at least once before the finale, but they were all there for the finale.
@@Lenny-ue8hkThat last bit is an unnecessary spoiler
Kash and Zahra are guest PCs whose roles are reclaimed by their original players: Will Friedle and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. As with all things in this show their dynamic has been condensed, but man they really did a good job with them in the episodes they get.
the monster they fought in episode 4 is this show's version of a Beholder, those creatures are scary and powerful
It's called an Onlooker, according to some.
I think Is a spectator in bg3
@@garr_incYes that's what it was "officially" called by production, according to the watch party
@@TheXXIJackpot Spectators is a lesser type of Beholders, it's not just another name. They even have different reproduction system (eyestalks for Spectators Vs dreams for Beholders) and they less aggressive iirc. Beholders have vast amount of variations, but in show they made definitely-not-a-beholder, because copyright
Here’s a little fun fact. Cash is voiced by Will Fridel, best known as Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World, the VA of Terry McGuiness on Batman Beyond, and Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible. He’s become a pretty prolific voice actor over the years, but Vox Machina is the first time he’s ever gotten to swear for a voice role.
You touched on this thought, and I will confirm that since this is based on a dnd campaign, the risk of them dying permanently is very real. Especially since Matt Mercer made homebrew rules to make revival spells harder to succeed at. I obviously won't say if it actually happens, but plot armor doesn't work the same for these characters like in other shows.
There is a lot of mystery about the bargain between Vax and the Matron of Raven at this point, but it will be made clear in the future. Safe to say, she is one of the most fascinating entities of the Critical Role lore, in my opinion.
Their giddiness makes me giddy.
Edit: Oh my god, I totally forgot which episodes they were about to watch.
Btw, that talisman that held the squid monster thing - the players called it a pokeball in the campaign
God, I remember when these episodes were coming out, it was in 3s so episode 3 was the last one we got for a week- can confirm it was brutal
I'm pretty sure that Purvan joke was one of the many times when the DM comes up with names and descriptions of things, and it's not until they read it out loud to a group of people do they realize they made a mistake. 😂
9:47 I never tire of watching people react to this moment. It was so crazy in the campaign. They did a great job of animating the gravity of this moment. The flashbacks made it even more emotional.
16:29 this will be a lingering question for a bit.
19:39 I like how y’all always laugh when Scanlan’s hand is used.
Love episode 3. Great reaction as usual. Looking forward to the next one.
That Calamity event sounds badass
Good thing they did a four-part Exandria Unlimited: Calamity series!
Not sure if you’re down for watching a game stream but it is the best DND you’ll ever see.
Where can I watch it?
@@nicolas._.2294 Here on youtube. Sam, Travis and Marisha are all in it (Scanlan, Grog and Keyleth) as completely different characters set during the time when the Calamity began. It has some of the biggest emotional rollercoasters, amazing action and just pure and diluted D&D fun set in a miniseries.
@@nicolas._.2294 Look for it on youtube, you just type EXU Calamity and you've got everything. Most of Critical Role stuff can be found on youtube.
Fair warning, EXU Calamity is not the same cast as normal Critical Role, like Vox Machina:
-the habitual DM, Matt Mercer, is replaced with Brennan Lee Mulligan, who normaly DMs for Dimension 20
-the actors of Keyleth, Scanlan and Grog are there, but the others are not
-the guests players are Aabria Iyengar, another notorious DM; Lou Wilson, a Dimension 20 player; and Luis Carazo, an actor who had already played with Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray (Keyleth) at home.
Enjoy !

There is going to be a season 3. In fact, they announced it at the same time as announcing season 2. A lot of folks estimate it'll take about 5 seasons to tell the story of the entire campaign. As for the other campaign, it's in very early stages, and animation takes a lot of lead-in time, but I imagine that if necessary they'll overlap both of them for a season or two.
There's three campaigns isn't there? Vox Machina (finished), Mighty Neine (finished) and the current one (ongoing). So they should have time.
@@liamwarner5749 Third campaign is not been announced to have series though... if Vox Machina and Migthy Nine continue been succesfull, it will eventually be made, I'm sure
With the way D&D works, it's nearly impossible to perma-die after level 5 when you get first access to resurrection stuff, whether via a Cleric or an NPC the party searched out, unless the whole team wipes. There are so many different ways to bring back characters that many DMs put custom restrictions on death and resurrection. Matt Mercer, the DM for Vox Machina, uses a custom group skill challenge to see if they can convince the soul to come back, and there's also stacking drawbacks each time someone dies and comes back, making the Difficulty Check for doing it higher each time so that there's still tension with death, even though they have ready access to resurrection magic.
One of my favourite lines from the Grog growing a beard incident (it took a while for the beard to actually grow in fully lmao so it was scraggly af at first)
Percy: you look like a 14 year old whose father didn’t love him enough to teach him to properly groom himself
And this was before the Briarwood’s arc. No Mercy Percy 😂
Hearing the behind the scenes commentary for, well all of these episodes but especially for episode 3, the level of detail in their story telling is legitimately out of this world, not just visually but in what you hear as well. If anyone goes back to check this out, with the exception of action and flashback sequences, the episode has no music what-so-ever until the very last scene where you hear it all come in. It was purposefully done in order to give you a subconscious feeling of uneasiness & that something is missing, b/c it is, the music is gone. It is something that doesn't get talked about or even noticed a lot, which is partially intentional, but I still want to highlight it. It is perfect storytelling through sound design and I love it.
The vestiges are the result of what was essentially a magical arms race during the calamity which was a war between the "good" and "evil" gods which only 1/3 of the world's population survived
It's kinda a pity the youtube edit mutes the music from the final scene. One of the unique things about how effective this episode is, which is why it feels so off-kilter all the way through, is there IS NO music for the entire episode - right up until the final flashback for Vex, right before the necrosis trap explodes into her face, ending in Vax's audible grief, and that haunting piano chord on the red dragon title card reminding us of Ossya's words: "You must not fail. Riding the imbalance these horrid creatures bring depends on your success."
Pike was astral projecting to spy on the dragons in the city.
And the Dragons aren't family, just same speices that are united by their hate for anyone not a dragon.
A bit of DND lore on dragons: the color of it tells what breath weapon it has: white = ice, green = poison gas, black = acid, red or gold = fire, blue = lightning. There are a few others out there too. They used to have the color also tell you if it was good, neutral, or evil, but that's changed with new editions of the game.
In D&D 5e exist these kind of elemental damage: Acid, Poison, Fire, Cold(Ice), Lightning(Electricity), Thunder(Sonic or Vibrations), Psychic, Radiant, Necrotic and Force(raw Arcana damage) and between the 3 big groups of dragons(exist other kinds of dragon outside these groups): Chromatic, Metallic and Gem they cover all the types of elemental damage with at least 1 kind of dragon for each kind of elemental damage. The dragons of the chroma conclave are all Chromatic they are the evil dragons, the Blue one with lightning damage of the first season, the Red one with Fire damage that is the leader, the Green one with Poison damage that kill the King of Emon, the White one with Cold damage that attack the Vox Machina stronghold and the Black one with Acid damage. The mural have all the good gods not the vestiges.
Main cast can die for sure. The thing about DnD 5th Edition is it's very hard for a character to die and stay dead. Still, this was an incredible two episodes and it was just as incredible in the actual campaign.
they aired 3 episodes a week, so they still ended on that moment.
It was harder than in the campaign, where Laura had rolled a 1 on her Dexterity save, taking damage which brought her below zero hit point and killed her. Kashaw was able to cast Revivify the same episode, and during the ritual Vax offered himself to the Matron of Ravens in his sister's place. These moments changed the whole course of the campaign and are still having repercussions in campaign 3.
they were so very good about integrating backstories here. the bit with Trinket was adapted from a short story Laura had written. The twins backstory was worked out when Liam and Laura - who share a birthday hence the twins thing - just sat down for lunch to work it out.
There actually was a skull of an onlooker - the discount Beholder here - in the Slayer's Take.
I fucking love the Matron of Ravens, she is such an interesting character
Kash is voiced by the same voice actor as Batman beyond
Yes, season 3 of Vox Machina has been green lit in addition to the new show
I'm so glad you guys are doing two eps at a time.
In case you were Wondering, Kash is played by Will Friedle from Boy Meets World, and he voiced Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond
Purvon, canonically: "IT'S NORMAL WHERE I COME FROM"
The Chroma Conclave consists of one each of the classic 5 Chromatic dragon colors in D&D which are typically evil, while Metallic Dragons(Gold, Silver, etc..) are classically more good.
Red Dragons breathe Fire
Blue Dragons breathe Lightning(the one they killed in the first season)
Green Dragons breathe poison gas
Black Dragons breathe Acid
White Dragons breathe Ice/Cold
This is such an exciting and wonderful reaction series. Love the way you guys theorize and talk to each other :)
The Matron of Ravens is the Goddess of Death, Destiny and Fate foretoled. Though death is inevitable, fate is not, and destinies can change; and Vax said "take me instead" and she did.
18:54 That's an 'Onlooker'. Aka 'definitely, totally not a Beholder'.
Season 3 of Legend of Vox Machina was greenlit before Season 2 was released as the people at Critical Role knew that they needed 2 seasons to flesh out/deal with the Chroma Conclave storyline. It's just also been announced that other projects (such as a Season 1 for their Mighty Nein campaign) have been greenlit.
Eventually, I hope you guys can get round to watching 'EXU: Calamity', the 4-part DnD session that explores the Calamity itself, the night the mythical Age of Arcanum came to an end, and led to the war between the gods and their banishment from the world. You might even see some familiar faces.
And yeah, loving this react series. Keep it up!
YES. Would love to see them react to Brennan Lee Mulligan's insane DM skills.
100% Calamity is perfection. Need to see a reaction to it!
5:56: He's HELPING! :D
All I'll say re: the vestiges, the Matron of Ravens is a death deity, so wearing her vestige, and being her champion, carries requirements that are appropriate for her domain. Vax had to accept his "death" in the vision with Purvan before the Matron unlocked the armor's power.
The Mighty Nein show is being produced at the same time as Season 3 VM, but there's no word yet on when either will be released, or if they will be released in tandem. They are both definitely happening though, and in production as we speak. There's no fear that anything is being abandoned :)
The episodes always feel WAY too short :) I always wish they could be even a couple of minutes longer, since they do SO MUCH with every single minute of the show. There's no wasted space at all.
Kash is like an NPC fighting for his life against his programming!
For those who didn't know, they released the first 3 episodes in a batch, so you get the return of the season with all this crazy shit and then THAT was the note they just left you on for the next week.
There are five types of chromatic dragons, green(poison), black(acid), white(ice), blue(lightning) and red(fire). They killed the blue dragon so there are four dragons left. Hope I could help, have a great day.
You should watch the Vex kill as it happened during the original game. Holy feck it is intense!!!
The song playing when Vex dies is “Do Not Go Far From Me” 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Kash is voiced by the same guy who voiced Terry Mcguiness.
And Ron Stoppable!
No, Kashaw was voiced by Will Friedle, who also voiced Ron Stoppable and some versions of Bumblebee from various transformers series.
Before them he played Terry@@warbird333
@bendoucet8641 Oh, Terry from Batman Beyond. I got mixed up.
also played Eric Matthews in Boy Meets World.
Zahra and Kash are crazy powerful.
they appeared as guest characters during a 2-parter back in Vasselheim, along with Lyra (a haphazard scholar of magic played by Felicia Day) and Thorbir (a grumpy Dwarf warrior played by Wil Wheaton)
Lyra, Zahra, Grog, Vex, Scanlan and Percy went to kill the white dragon Rimefang, and Thorbir, Vax, Keyleth, Kash and _Tiberius_ went to kill the rakshasa Hotis (that's the man-tiger that Vax shoots out of a window when telling his tale back in S1). Tiberius was cut from the story since Orion Acaba left the group in S1, and the whole of Geek & Sundry was split when Felicia sold the company to Legendary.
those missions are what Vex is probably referring to as "we know them from... before..."
I still hope we see Lyra and Thorbir during season 3... the battle for Emon is gonna be HUGE.
Since you guys are watching the after the fact, and i truly thought someone told you about this, this show is done in 3 episode drops. This means that for all those; like myself, who had to watch episodes 1, 2, and 3 together. So, we ended the first week with this episode.
This is where you are so lucky; because you can now watch episode 4, and see what happens next
The best part is they truly did have SO much trouble with doors. Even in other campaigns. So all this ragging on and messing with doors that won't open is all true.
Also, any time the DM Matt Mercer came up with a name on the spot or had a cool one that he thought was good but hadn't said outloud/tested before hand, if it sounded even a little pervy/goofy, the group would make fun of it and the character with that name. They've done it loads of times.
aah your reactions are so great!
there will definitely a season 3 of vox machina plus their new show from campaign 2
You can't really transfer it from game, but beard from belt don't just appear in tabletop. He rolled for it to grow a small amount everyday
Season 3 of Vox has been confirmed as well as something for their second campaign of dnd I'm not completely sure if its a movie or another series though. I'm assuming, and this might just be me being hopeful but if the show/s continue to be successful they're probably going to at the very least finish the entire Vox campaign.
Mighty Nein is going to be another series
Honestly you're lucky you release these in batches of two. We critters can be just as brutal as that trap was.
For a lot of reactors who post this episode before they've watched episode four. Was all of us confirming that what they saw was her dying.
Which is true. She is dead. Not unconscious rolling death saving throws just dead.
But we all left out mentioning that revivify is a spell.
Also... the "Pervon" jokes that were said, were IN the live stream. That is a problem with many Players vs. DM's. We (DM's) come up with great and awesome NPC's for the PC's to interact with, and give out the name.... and BAM. Players will take it direclty with a left turn and make you regret everything about it you created LOL. This happens numberous times with Matt throughout the campagins. He even looks at the camera and said "Fellow DM's... you understand my pain!" But yeah... all those jokes were direct form the live stream.
Guys you all are great with the reactions! I'm looking forward to your next reactions to this show almost as bad as when I was watching the show when these episodes came out.
In this case, the vestige is the armor worn by the Raven Queen's personal champion. The Raven Queen is the God of the final breath, that moment where a mortal changes from a living being into a dead one so trying to perform a resurrection in the tomb of her personal champions final resting place is a literal act of heresy against her. The only way you could give her a bigger slap to the face would be to raise an undead there. What Vax did was offer up his soul to the Raven Queen to do with what she will in exchange for his sister's life. The Raven Queen accepted and made sure the resurrection worked perfectly, thus gaining ownership of Vax's soul. What she chose to do with it has to have Vax serve as her eternal champion, in this life and the next, which automatically gave the armor to him.
I think you had it right Vax made a pact with death and he is now bound to her rather than his sister. I don't know if we've seen the full power of his vestige yet. 50/50 could either be a glimpse of what it is capable of and he'll need to work up to it or just a taste of what is to come. What worries me is this is what was required for his vestige, if each of the party is going to get one (which makes sense being based on a game) then they're going to need to sacrifice a lot.
so based on the pacing Legend of Vox Machina should run for about 5-6 seasons.
The other show is based on their second campaign called The Mighty Nein, that will be a seperate show that might run concurrently or might start after LoVM but that might be a slightly longer show
So there will be a Season 3. They announced it when they announced Season 2. And the reason they are doing this other series before they finish Vox Machina is because it has little to no connection or spoilers for anything related to Vox Machina despite being in the same universe and taking place 20 years after the end of the Vox Machina campaign
As well as on a completely different continent.
24:35 yep, everyone know's it's a Pokeball. Trinket, I choose you!
Rejoice in the good news that Season 3 of LOVM has already been approved, we're just waiting for a release date, the pilot episode for The Mighty Nein, a 2nd show based on the 2nd campaign has been written, and Critical Role inked a multi-project deal with Amazon that will include more seasons of Vox Machina, more animated shows, films and other content. I really hope we get a film or limited series for EXU: Calamity, a 4-episode live campaign based on certain events leading up to the battle scene depicted in episode 4.
They actually released three a week, but this is in fact episode 3.
Vax's speed boost with the armor was changed for the show. In the campaign, he had boots that allowed him to move super fast, but the cast and animators decided it would be better to make the vestiges even better. Matt made changes to resurrecting characters. First, it is expensive to do. Second, you have checks that are performed by others to aid in the resurrection process. If I am not mistaken, this was Vax's role in aiding Kash's resurrection spell. And finally, the checks get progressively harder the more you die. So if Vex were to die a second time, it would be harder to resurrect her. Also in the campaign, this was actually Vex's second death. Vex was the one who died in the ziggurat rather than Keyleth. It was changed so this moment would have more of an impact for the show.
Also, there is a season 3 coming. I believe it is slated for beginning of 2024 ( probably February/March due to the Hollywood strikes). This was announced before season 2 released.
Vex didn't die in the Ziggurat, in the same way that Keyleth didn't die in the show.
Let me remind you, this is a dnd campaign, the characters don’t have as much plot armor as your typical main characters in other shows. Keep in mind, any of these characters can die at any point, because well everything is decided by the roll of the dice, which can easily cost the player their life if they aren’t careful.
As for Vex in this episode, yes she did die. In the campaign that was a 1 hit KO trap, which Matt Mercer doesn’t really do that often, typically you don’t die immediately when you hit 0 hp, instead your unconscious and have to do death saving throws. Anyways, with this trap there weren’t any death saving throws, she was immediately dead. They used a revival spell and it was hard as hell to pull off, but they managed to bring her back from the dead. Tho there was a high possibility that the spell would fail and Vex would be permanently dead. So yeah, just keep this stuff in mind. No one is safe in a dnd campaign.
I love how hyped they get with every episode.
Season 3 is confirmed. The Mighty Nein show is also confirmed. We don't know if Vox Machina will conclude before TMN comes out.
So I think we are looking at potentially 4 to 6 seasons of vox. And The Mighty Nien will be the second campaign which takes place like 40 years after the events of Vox with some characters potentially showing up in the new series.
I think it's 20 years later not 40 years
@grendalsuncle4040 you're probably right I couldn't remember the time-line
Sam Riegel said in an interview earlier this year that they could go up to 5 seasons of VM (if renewed).
@stingerbrg I mean briawoods was like 13 episodes at the table? And Chroma was close to 45 at the table.
@@omok2Conclave should certainly be wrapped up with the end of season 3. The question is will the remaining 30 episodes be enough to justify another 2 seasons or will they make do with 1
They are working on a Season 3 along with the first season of their 2nd campaign.
In light of these two episodes, take another look at the opening moments of the intro sequence.
Acid dragon is a black dragon. Poison dragon is a green dragon. Each colour is a different breed.
Ya, these episodes were released 3 at a time, so we had to wait a week for episode 4… unless you watched the original campaign myself but that’s 450 hours
There is so much I want to say about this moment in stream, but since y'all were considering watching it I won't.
What I will say is that Vaxs' deal with the Matron of Ravens was a fantastic example of improvised storytelling.
Had the spell been detected and broken, Vex wouldn't have died, and Vax wouldn't have had to make the deal.
That entire plot point was created on the spot by the players' actions.
Imagine watching what happened to vex live. I have never cursed as much as when matt ended the episode on that
Just realized halfway through the video that season 3 is out, I guess this will be my recap (lol)
Irrelevant but I’ve had that exact same poison dragon/gas dragon debate with friends. The short answer is that it is two different ones. In D&D black dragons spit acid, green dragons spit poison gas. Which is why I wish they’d made the acid black to match its dragon and kinda clear up this exact issue.
as someone that has never watched critical role, it was really cool going back and seeing clips of Vex's death. If this was a regular show it might seem kinda cheap in a way but no this was an adaptation of a 100% authentic D&D moment.
theres was a young lightning dragon (that got killed season one)
and now there's 4 adult dragons -> acid, fire, ice, and poison. all four of those are again, separate dragons AND adult dragons.
I AM NOT CLOWNING ON YALL FOR NOT KNOWING, shit can be confusing, just clarifying.
now... even I'm not sure of this, but I think ice and poison are female, and acid and fire are male.
4 Ancient Dragons. Brimscythe was the young adult dragon, making him the youngest and the weakest.
Hm, things are getting interesting, let’s see how this will go.
Also, Grog is Kratos now.
Yes, they are making a new show based on the subsequent campaign. And, as much is it uncomfortably clear that Vox Machina is a work of art, the second campaign is better then the first.
YES, I SAID THAT! AND I DON'T REGRET IT!
THIS ARE MY OPINION AND I'M READY TO DIED ON THIS HILL!!!
You can't be the champion of the goddess of fate and death if you don't accept your fate and your inevitable death. That's what the vision was about. He had to stop fighting. And accept he would die.
Also yes season 3 is in production.
From everything we know, season 3 is in the works along side the mighty nine. Also remember this is based off DnD, their is always the possibility of permideath of they fail the rolls.
From all accounts they are working on both at the same time.
After you’re caught up, y’all should react to some of the pre-production videos critical roll put out.
The deal they signed with amazing gives them first rights to the IP shows and distinctly also including movies!! I’m hoping we get an EXU Calamity movie!
These are such great reactions. Gotta wait a whole weeeeeeek thoooo!
There is going to be a season 3 by the way, that has been confirmed.
They release them 3 episodes at a time and they end episodes 3,6,9 and 12 with some hang you by the balls cliff hanger!
There will be a season 3. We don't know when yet (I assume sometime 2024)
The ending of episode 3 is so sad. Literal tears. 😢
Don’t worry season 3 was announced before the second one came out
No cures, you were right with your first thought, there is gonna be a season 3 maybe even a 4th and 5th. The other show is just being put into production cause while it takes place in the same world it's not connected to the vox story. The story from osisa about the vestiges has been change from what was explained in the table top game events so that's unknown as of right now.
Look up history of exandria it explains the history of the world without spoilers so it's safe to watch.
Sad day when no one comments on Eric Matthews being the voice actor and also PC for Kash
Pay attention to the intro next episode. It hasn't changed since season 1, but just watch it again.
Spoilers below:
To answer your question, yes the main cast can and WILL die. And yes, sometimes the rules will let resurrections work. And there WILL be one or more times in this campaign where one or more members WILL have to roll up a new character.
You've probably been told this already, but yes, main cast can die, and have. I won't say what campaigns, where who or when, but the end of campaigns can be bittersweet, and Matt doesn't take in character comments the players say lightly and just forget them.
Season 3 of Vox is greenlit. They're also working on the first season of the Mighty Nein.
Season 2 of Vox Machina was 3 eps a week a a month.
Y’all are so lucky you didn’t have to wait a week for this cliffhanger to resolve lol
Also yes. The main cast CAN die. Both Vex and Vax have gotten PRECARIOUSLY CLOSE to it. Vex got saved by the merciful gods that dictate Matt Mercer’s dice rolls. They got SO LUCKY.
Also, every time you revive someone, it gets a little bit harder to bring them back the next time.
23:16 Asura coming out a bit lol
