    i’ve been to mexico a few times, whether it’s a lower class place (rocky point) or higher class place (cabo) the police there have so many rifles and are all decked out in gear such as swat and military gear

It's pretty fucked up that soldiers end up in jail jost for doing their job and defending themselfs

    Yeah, fr, resorts are protected, and the cartels don't touch them because they have no reason to be there. Im literally in my house in mexico rn. It's normal for police to be in the back of trucks with guns and stuff. It's honestly just standard procedure. There are all pretty chill guys. But yes the cartel is everywhere, but they could care less about Americans and tourists. If you are getting in front of their business, is when it goes sideways

    Bro you are so wrong, Punta De Mita is known for its virgin beaches. It was a well known training ground for the military. My uncle is a colonel in the Mexican Air Force. Its not to protect the resort, resorts don't really get hit by the Cartel because they have no need to do that when they make billions just by selling drugs.

    In Cancun a few years back when me and my fiance went, all we saw were national guard kitted up with ars and 50 cals on the back of pickups. As an American it was a wild sight to see. At one point they were standing guard outside our pool at our resort. Idk if some shit went down on the nearby area but I was happy to be back in the states after.

    That’s same in Egypt and other country’s in the Middle East, as when I went to Egypt there was military bases and checkpoints every couple minutes to protect the tourists from attacks. And during my time there a boat was that got hijacked by terroists due to the war right across the border

    I stayed in Cabo and the resort we went to is set up like those old castle cities on top of a big hill, one way up, tons of security checkpoints, tons of walls and fences and tons of police with military gear. It’s honestly pretty sick to see.

      Cartels don't have tanks, nor actual armored vehicles. They do have monstruos wich are Pickups with improvised armor, wich are a pretty uncommon sight on Most states other than Nothern states

      Its not, that's just standard procedure for all police. The military bases are wayyyy more stacked. It has nothing to do with protecting the people. Also they don't have cop cars, they have cop trucks. So they just chill in the back with guns cuzzz y not

      México uses pickup trucks as regular police vehicles (some times police Cars are used but pickups are more common). But yeah Most police agencies are equiped with military gear such as Kevlar helmets and rifles, is'nt uncommon

      Mexico tourism is a huge money investment, like oil to USA. Vacationers MUST feel secure at all cost, takes only one idiot to walk up and start shooting, and watch 35$ billion USD industry go spoof! If the cartel wants to hurt the government, the tourism industry, super easy as many places to hurt it.
      The cartels also make money in the tourist areas like Cancun, I was offered drugs, hookers, man, children, whatever I wanted for a price. That’s Mexico, it’s the guy at the bar, closest to the toilet entrance. 😅😅😅

    I went to Mexico and America in at the end of 2018 to the start of 2019. I Remeber seeing the police riding in trucks with full gear and rifles and that was pretty crazy I live in New Zealand and police in NZ don’t ride around with guns u never see that shit in nz
