- Replacing the wall paper border in an RV is the first step to renovating our RV bathroom.
We have a Class A, RV, Gas Motorhome and we have already replaced the old, out dated, factory wallpaper border in our kitchen, totally remodeled our 1/2 bathroom and now it’s time to change out the wallpaper border in our RV master bathroom so Joanie can now bring this bathroom up-to-date with her special touches. This is a real easy RV, DIY job on a budget and it's going to make a world of difference. It’s a great place to start to freshen up the master bathroom. Joanie wants to change the color scheme with some burgundy tones in the master bath, so the first thing to do is change out the wall paper border. In this RV, How-To, DIY video, I’m going to show you-in detail-all the steps it took to change out this RV bathroom wallpaper border.

This wallpaper upgrade video was done last year (2020) in Batesville, IN after spending a summer in Maine. I’ve had this video done, uploaded and in the queue to go live for nearly a year now. But I kept pushing the release date forward because of other important videos I wanted to release first. I thought the 4th of JUly was a good day to finally let it go live.
Perfect timing! Got a roll of forest wildlife too cover the blue iris! Can't wait to get er done 😉😉

Ya it's not for everybody for sure. But for us, our wall paper was old and had a worn out feeling to it. BORING!!!!!!
But my hope is that anybody that wants to upgrade the look to their RV it's really not that hard to do. There's so many little things a person can do to give their RV a nice new look.

Another great video! Thank you for all the great tips. I just finished putting synthetic tiles on the back splash on the kitchen and bathroom. Wow what a difference it makes. I guess I should have made a video too.

You do such good work, wish you were moochdocking in my yard cause I have a 27 ft 5th wheel that has been sitting since my husband had his stroke and I plan on going through it and doing updates from the roof down, inside and out. Content galore. It needs work!! Since I bought a MH, I have an Rv to use. I guess I have an emeotional attachment, 🥴

Martin, Great video as usual! I know its been awhile but just saw it, what were those little white clips that you used to hold the receptacle in with? Sometimes the RV walls are so thin screws wont hold, I hoping those clips are another way to hold something like that to the wall. Thanks

I forget what they're called but you can get them at pretty much any box store but certainly a place like ACE hardware. They have a lot of specialized stuff like this. Take a picture of it with your phone from the video and show them.

Hey Martin & Joanie. Have been watching your videos and have become addicted. Do you ever do meet and greets or how can someone get in touch with you. I'm a recently retired engineer and my wife the teacher is getting ready to retire. We currently have a 5th wheel that we have been dabbling with for about 4 years. Looking into moving to a Class A gas but have so much to learn and many questions. Would love to just sit and get to know you guys more and get the benefit of your experience. Hey Martin. Have you ever changed out your slide out toppers? If so, is it difficult, and where's the best place to purchase new toppers?
Yes I have replaced both slide toppers but I also did some other replacements too but I had it done by a company in Florida. I covered that in detail here: ruclips.net/video/X0x4djQ5KNM/видео.html

Once everything was made and sewn, it took them 4hrs. to install everything. Without a doubt the best upgrade I made to the outside of the RV.

What is the old border is peeling?
I would cut away the part that was peeling and cover it with the new border.
The new borders are just as ugly as the old ones.
