♫ Red Tanager * Piranga Rubra * Rojo Soler ஜ

Red Tanager (Piranga rubra) is a species of passerine bird in the family Cardinalidae. Adult individuals are between 17 and 19 cm. The males are all red, females are dark olive and yellow plumage. inhabiting oak forests and gallery forests. In the fall they migrate south, and overwinter from central and southern Mexico, Central America, and northwestern South America (to Peru and western Brazil), which mainly inhabit rainforests. They feed on insects, small fruits, and tropical fruits.
