Hard to Believe that’s in July , we went this past October off season and their were still quota few people around I didn’t see one other joker in you’re video , amazing place
WOW!!!! This may be the most beautiful video I've ever seen I've seen on RUclips! I'm disabled and will not be able to ever experience this in person but thanks to ya'll, I'm able to see this place!! It's breathtaking and I can only imagine what it must have felt like to experience in person. I got a little emotional just seeing it on my small computer screen. You had an absolutely perfect day with great weather. You got very creative with some of your camera angles, and I especially liked the views you gave from ground level at the small waterfall with the crystal clear water. I could almost taste it!!!!! Major props for getting in the lake. It must have been freezing but well worth it! The energy must have been amazing after you got out of the water. Thanks again for filming this and offering it up for all of us to see. Although I can't experience it in person, I got to see it through your eyes. It felt like I was there a little bit even though I'm a few thousand miles away. Great stuff!!!
Amazing video, amazing hike! A moose AND grizzly bears! AND a jump in the ice cold water! Props to you! Now, to be honest, I had a hard time enjoying hiking in Glacier because I had a constant fear that I would encounter a grizzly. It was not relaxing. I would have felt better with a .44 on my hip, even though they are so fast it is not a guarantee you can stop them with it if you surprised one.
Yep. If you want to see amazing things in remote places you have to take some risk. There are some places we avoid at certain times of year and certain times of the day. But won’t let it stop us from living free! Happy trails and be safe.
Glacier is spectacular. We share some of the same concerns regarding bears, however I liken it (slightly) to surfing and the pursuit of being within these beautiful lands. Always proceeding with caution, prevention to the best of our ability, and of course fingers crossed 🤞
I'm with you. I wouldn't be able to enjoy it, either. I hiked with my son in RMNP outside Boulder over Christmas, but that was only because the bears were in hibernation, and there were lots of other hikers around.
@@annehedonia156 My family loved RMNP when we visited in 2019! And there are no grizzlies, just black bear, which I am not afraid of. We have plenty here in CT. They are timid and if they attack, you actually have a fighting chance against them :)
@@BW-pr8qr Really? I was afraid of grizzlies for nothing? Lol! I'm in Tennessee and black bears have been spotted just an hour and a half east from me. They were nowhere close 20 or 30 years ago (about 4.5 hrs away). I'm really not looking forward to the day I have to look over my shoulder watching for them. We only have coyotes, and they're the biggest scaredy-cats on earth.
Awesome Video! You guys are SO LUCKY.. the Bears didn't charge you....... 30 yards is way too close for comfort! A few years back a father and daughter got attacked up there and barely survived! Bear spray doesn't always work either, but its a must have that's for sure. Being armed too is crucial to me for protection. Montana and Wyoming are the most beautiful places on Earth...
Safety is always a concern. We take as many precautions as possible and try to be prepared for any situation. Not sure it is possible - but we try to minimize risk.
Right. Once the bear charges, there is no time for retrieving the bear spray. It should be on the belt or across the chest, and once a bear is spotted, in that person's HAND, ready to go.
How long did it take y'all? We live in MT and are trying to knock out several hikes this summer. We did Appistoki Falls trail today and Running Eagle (which doesn't count 😂)
@@nolanventures473 I always carried a model 29 Smith and Wesson 44 mag in bear country. Now I`m carrying a Glock 29 in 10mm. Both are great choices.Stay safe and thanks for sharing. MOLON LABE !!!!
This was Wednesday, July 31 - just a few weeks ago. We took about an hour or two at the lake and got back to the trailhead about 2:00. We started at about 7am and took several breaks for taking in all the views.
Bino harness from Alaska Guide Creations. I love it because it holds my binoculars and has easy access for other stuff. It holds my binos, gps, range finder, and other stuff. Never have to take my pack off. Typically carry a .44
Thanks Nolan, I am assuming you live in Montana bc you carry in a park. Can't do that just everywhere. I am going to find Alaska Guide and look at getting one of those. Thanks.
I believe you can carry in national parks. I believe it is unlawful to discharge a firearm in national parks. Not sure of the rationale behind those laws. Advise anyone and everyone to ALWAYS check rules and laws in the specific area prior to going. Thanks.
It all depends on what trail you are going on. When I backpacker the north eastern part of the park you could have a firearm on any of the trails, but I didn’t see sick signs on the high line trail.
As of February 22, 2010, a federal law allows people who can legally possess firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws, to legally possess firearms in national parks IF THE STATE ALLOWS OPEN CARRY OF FIREARMS. So it depends on which national park you are in. Montana is an open carry state so it is legal to open carry in Glacier National Park. Concealed carry depends on the state's reciprocity agreement with the state the visitor is from. Just be aware that Federal law prohibits firearms in certain facilities in all national parks. Those places include all Government offices, visitor centers, ranger stations, fee collection buildings, maintenance facilities, and any building or structure marked with "no firearms."
Why would you check your parachute as luggage, and then, why would you dismiss the idea of fishing it out when you are lucky enough to hear there is a potential for dangerously severe weather? I mean, why spend the money in the first place?
We did stay at Glacier Highland Motel in West Glacier a couple of nights. It worked well for us and is right by the national park entrance. We would stay there again and also on our wish list is Many Glacier Hotel that is not far from Iceberg Lake trailhead.
Thumbs up for first 8 seconds of video alone. Stunning
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
Wow! Wow wow wow! There are no words this is just wow! What insane beauty!

What gorgeous views. We are truly blessed here on the good ole USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I hiked this trail in late june and the entire lake was frozen. It was just as stunning as the wild flowers in this video
It takes time to thaw. It’s a great hike!

That short dip in the water looks so refreshing. Im excited! Will be visiting GNP in 2 weeks :)

We did this hike a few years ago. It is beautiful !
It is. Thanks for watching!
This was my introduction to the Many Glacier area and it was fantastic!
I hiked that today. The entire lake was still frozen over and the whole trail up to the valley leading to it was still covered in snow
Fantastic - it’s a great trail!
Pretty cool to see in those conditions I'm sure 👍 Awesome area no doubt.

Used a GoPro Hero 7 Black and a mefoto road trip air tripod. All ultra light!!!

Can you bring guns into the park? I think you can unless you go into Canada. I know it is for grizzly protection. Thoughts.
Always check locally.
