  • I purchased a old VHS that had the full and only season of SK8 TV on it. Some of the episodes are missing a few mins or more, but this is the best that I have.

This show was the first time I discovered skateboarding. I lived in a small town in Wyoming and we had no skaters there. I got pretty obsessed with watching this show and buying Thrasher magazines. I still have pictures of Christian Hosoi that I put on my wall as a teenager. I did not remember that Matthew Lillard was in this. That's so cool.

SK8-TV premiered on Nickelodeon on Independence Day, July 4, 1990. The show was produced by Binder Entertainment. SK8-TV was the first show to feature skateboarding as a primary theme.👍

On one of these episodes I remember they had a “send in your home video” challenge and there was a guy named Igor who won it. When I seen it I was like damn man i do all the same tricks he was doing. I begged my parents to buy a video recorder cause I wanted my stuff sent in but it never happened. I quit in 93 but I remember my last trick I ever learned was a 360 flip(which was the trick of the time). Which now that I think about it....was hard as hell to land on those big bulky decks.
I weigh a buck 65 now/47 years old and if not for having a f’d up knee/elbow/shoulder and back I’d get back into it.

Besides the fact the Matthew was on this show but the fact that it was a show about skateboarding.
