One thing I love about the acoustic versions is the fact that Vics voice is raw. With cracks and breaks, it makes the music even better because it shows that he is in fact human, where as recordings are flawless.

I have noticed that every time he sings "It'll be alright" be sort of breaks down (either starts to cry, gets softer, stops, etc) and I know that like must be really important to him but I don't know why.

It's actually not quite as sad of a meaning as A Match Into Water or Hold On Till May, but Vic said it was based off an ex he had who texted him one night about all the fun she was having ("but last night, you said you ended up in palm springs dancing on tables") and he mostly said he was just jealous. But he does sound incredibly sad, not sure why D:

“I do a lot of writing while driving at night. During the time that I was at home writing lyrics for the album, I went on a few camping trips by myself along the coast. This song came to me while I was driving. It’s mostly wandering thoughts about my relationship with this girl back home. She sent me a blacked out drunk text once about some crazy party she was at, and it made me all over-protective and bitter that I wasn't there. The title came from one of my favorite movies “Wayne’s World II."

Not a big fan of alot of bands in this genre anymore or bands grouped together with other bands of similar labels but pierce the veil is still a band I enjoy. I love how they write music by feel and incorporate other genres within their music it's nice. With all that said way to go Vic 30 years old and sounding great still, I loved this
