- Diddy is breaking his silence following a viral video’s release appearing to depict him beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel. CNN was first to obtain the footage and reported that it was taken in 2016. On May 19, Sean “Diddy” Combs took to Instagram to address the video. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f-ed up - I mean, I hit rock bottom - but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable,” he began. The rapper appeared to confirm the authenticity of the video as he continued, saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I had to go into going to therapy, and go into rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.” Combs finished the video statement by apologizing. “I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” he said.

A sincere apology has SOME explanation like “a week after this event I went to 3 months of rehab for drinking. He had no choice but to apologize at this point could not deny that was not him. What he should do is to apologize publicly to the victim and her family. That was heartbreaking to watch. His reputation unfortunately is already tarnished, and because of the lies it will be hard for some to believe that he is really sorry for his actions. Me personally I believe he is embarrassed, ashamed, amongst a lot of other words I could add. Bottom line he thought he would get away with this horrific act of violence not coming to the surface. He shared a message on his instagram prior to this video coming out stating time tells truth. I suppose it does. There is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Only time will tell to see how things play out for Mr. Combs. Though he says he is not asking for forgiveness am sure he is hoping and wishing. Forgiveness is hard for some, and it can be done. But for others it can be very difficult to achieve. And sadly this act of cruelty will be hard to forget.
