I literally found scratfh marks in the lock in my front door and back door. Luckily, nothing was stolen

There are so many things that are obviously scam, but yet people fall for it.

A new neighbour moved into my building and my mom sort of organizes stuff for the apartments an everything, but when this new neighbour got in he was too impatient to wait for my mom to come and he apparently needed to get into the basement and put in his stuff but he didn't have the key, so instead of waiting or calling someone HE CHANGED THE ENTIRE LOCK AND WE HAD TO MAKE NEW KEYS FOR THAT LOCK

If a shared lock is changed, call the landlord and get it replaced. It is usually written into the lease that you cannot change the locks. It is cause for removal of the person who changed it unauthorized.

I could see how this might work in a department store where one person pretends to be shopping and finds the right size and items and puts them at the end of the aisle and then a different person quietly walks by and grabs them. This way no one sees them staring at the items and then take them.

My neighbor was away at the cottage. A very clean cut young man delivering flyers taped the flyer to her door. Everywhere else it went in the mailbox.
I went over and took it off. A few hours later a van showed up in her driveway. They looked at the door. I could see them talking. They left.
The next day the same young man showed up and taped the flyer up again. Later the same van and men showed up again. Unfortunately zi was not able to see the license, which was covered in dirt.
So one crook checks out the neighborhood and leave signs where people are gone. Then others rob the place.
You know what that is a reasonable sentence well done👍.
