I live in the US and have traveled to Thailand twice, as well as to Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Korea. The long exhausted flights were definitely worth it. I enjoyed every moment of his concerts and fan meetings. Seeing how strong and outstanding he is inspires me to keep moving, never give up no matter what.
I was there when ZheHan suddenly decided to speak up and I was so sad that he had to explain that ridiculous accusation and yet his videos are still banned on Chinese platforms, with a bizarre reason: we are not allowed to speak up for banned artist. @fatisummer9106 during those dark days I almost felt like I was in an episode of Black Mirror, it was like a balck joke yet it was heartbreaking when it happened to that bubbly boy I love so much. I'm so grateful that he didn't give up. He should be on his way to Amsterdam to get his Best Documentary award soon, I hope he can win bigger and live better, that's the best revenge to those ppl who wanted him to disappear. I want to see good things happening to good ppl, that's the reason I'll be trying my best to support him 💪🏻
I know population is huge in China but I wish ZZ could really work on his English and break into the US, Canada UK entertainment industry. He has such talent. It seems some really dark players are involved in his harm.
@@elizabethbesco4758 he's been working on it since last year, already realised 6 English songs, his official site and his documentary August are translated into English, he even encourage his fans to learn English (even give us English test). It's still long way to go though, I hope with this recent win of Best Documentary in ARFF (a movie awards in Europe) he can expand his network and get more opportunities there. I know it's hard to leave the country and continue career in another country which speaks another language (I still struggle after 20 yrs) but when China is no longer the place for dreamers we have to seek somewhere else
I saw one of his videos on Iqiyi website but maybe it was only available for overseas. They did only promote the FL on the thumbnail instead. I was surprised because I hadn’t seen any of his dramas promoted on the main page in forever.
I miss ZZH and his acting so much! His treatment was extremely unfair. I've followed him since Legend of Yunxi. He is a fantastic actor. Zhang Zhehan is a real hero and an exceptional idol! I have not known any public figure who had endured such catastrophic frame-up as he had. He not only survived gracefully himself, but also saved many people who went through depression/brokenheart/brokenbelief because of this inhuman 813 event. So much respect for him❤❤❤
Xiao Zhan went through something similar and just as brutal in 2020. Luckily he survived and came back better than ever with help from government authorities.

That's one of the horrible things that happen to actors in China when they get cancelled. They lose the power to speak out for themselves because their social media accounts are took from them. Anyway I am glad he is able to find new avenues to entertain and speak out

Just for people who don’t know what happened to Zhang Zhehan, he was framed with the false information and photoshopped pictures by the vicious competitor! As the result of that he lost everything he had, he lost the right to use his own name, his name was not allowed in many of the application system (e.g.his name is not allowed to be used in Huawei’s phone as a nickname, also his name was not allowed in many food delivering order system). Mr. Zhang is not only an extremely talented actor and singer,but is also a very good person with high integrity. So sad that even though every rumor about him was false, that even though he lost everything there and had to paid millions penalties for the forced broken commercial endorsements, he could not and still can not have any channel for legal help there!
Zhang Zhehan only went on a trip during the cherry blossom season in 2018, but at his peak in 2021, he was slandered by competitors and used black PR tactics to create a powerful public opinion, causing his entire career to come to a halt. It was Zhang Zhehan's strength and resilience that allowed him to stand up again, start anew, and achieve impressive results. But the harm to him has not stopped until now, which is infuriating!

I have heard that too. That someone he acted with who was not as gifted in acting(ZZH gave him tips) or singing(as he is tone deaf) seemed to view him as a rival and competition for acting roles. This person also has a mother who is highly connected to the communist party. So it was arranged using the three year old photos of the trip to Japan into a major smear campaign to end his acting career.
I believe that most of the cases of cancelling artists in China are related to someone powerful in the CCP. They most probably offended someone who has money and power.
I am glad to see Zhang Zhehan stepping out and clarified all rumours personally. Never knew China was a society not governed by laws, and I think that’s why all the talented and good Chinese eventually left China be it to pursue their career or a better life
I miss ZZH soooo much. He was one of my fav actors, very talented. I was so heartbroken with what happened. It was basically a witch-hunt. They leave no room for him to breathe or even attempt to let him explain himself. Looking at Korea and china, I hate that the media and netizens have that much power over celebrities.
The people who have actually “hurt the Chinese sentiments” are the heartless perpetrators, the idiotic Chinese netizens that swallow whatever is fed to them, and the lazy Chinese state media who did not investigate the matter before criticising. Now the world can see that China is a place where a person can be convicted at the court of public opinion, have all his rights taken away, and not given a course to seek redress. Shame on you, China! Ironically, if this incident hadn’t happened, I would have moved on from Zhang Zhehan. But because the incident was overblown, I had to investigate. Once I found out what a sunny, talented, and upright man he is, I became his diehard fan. It’s the same story repeated with many fans. Not only did the perpetrators failed to bring him down, they made him more beloved.
Those dark forces who spent a year trying to cancel Xiao Zhan in 2020 were pissed that their mission failed because government support helped revive his career. I suspect they turned their sight on the next victim ZZH by manipulating public opinion using a very sensitive subject of Yakusuni shrine by photo manipulation and false narratives to incriminate ZZH as a traitor. Hopefully the govt is working behind the scenes to sort out the real traitors and clear ZZH’s name .
I was just getting into ZZH when all that went down. He deserved better. I am glad he is still able to entertain. I love Elvis Han so I may have to see that one and zhang jingyi is a great actress so that is a maybe too. The whole billing fanwars are a mess. The fact that a studio even has to put a statement about that is too much. I have been watching too many dramas lately so hopefully I will find a good one soon.
I can't remember which drama it was a while back, but the fan war on billing order got intense. Since then, some dramas have preempted with this kind of notice.

Quite stupid for China govt to blacklist good actors like Zhang Zhehan (and Deng Lun) from the industry which is why the industry ends up having the same few male leads who can't act well.

It is well-known fact in China that to get a lead role in a big budget drama, the actor/actress must be backed by top agencies and it doesn't matter whether they can act well because their agencies will keep pushing them for lead roles until they eventually hit it big (no audition needed). I must say that’s a pretty strong statement but I can understand why you would think that if you only watch idol dramas. I can hardly finish an idol drama here recently for a variety of reasons so I wouldn’t put the blame entirely on the actors. An article I read last week provided a list of The Top 20 Actors In China. I read each profile, noted all their projects. From the list I watched Cliff Walkers on Prime over the weekend. It was terrific! Zhang Yi as the lead who is a favorite actor of mine and who starred in The Knockout. If you haven’t seen TKO on IQIYI and CWs on Prime I highly recommend them. The entire cast was fabulous. It was packed with veteran actors. Joy Of Life S1&2 is another drama packed with an all star cast. Hu Ge is highly regarded in the Chinese film industry as well. His notable dramas are Nirvana In Fire, Chinese Paladin and Blossom Shanghai. These actors are hardly seen in idol dramas. I enjoy idol dramas for their light and easy content. They help me relax and escape to a whole new world. I often shakes my head in disbelief or I crack up laughing at certain dramas that over use their creative license card. My advice is to watch what you consider good and delete those that waste your time. Don’t be afraid to watch an old drama as they most likely will have actors you haven’t seen as yet. Believe me they are in abundance. Enjoy🌸💃🏽

The idea that ZZH still thinks or hes still claiming he lost his career because of the photo in Japan is insane. The treatment of Zhang Zhehan is probably Chinas biggest entertainment shame. His career was destroyed overnight by some very powerful people and demonstrates how truly corrupt and evil the CCP are. So powerful are they that other artists are scared to stand up for someone they know was framed. Unfortunately the one individual who did support him publicly was also silenced and I’m not talking about Gong Jun. His silence speaks volumes.
Gong Jun has never really recovered, IMO. People may have been opposed to ZZH, but they also didn't like the look of GJ's studio shedding their association with him so rapidly and publicly. Not saying he hasn't gotten some good roles, but public excitement about him has cooled. Sad.

Yes. This Shrine commemorates who died in WW2, and of course participated killing Chinese. Chinese government is always against Prime minister to worship this Shrine. ZZH has never visited Yasukuni Shrine. He was just framed by vicious competitors.
Yes, this shrine was founded to commemorates those Japanese who had served in the war, which included some who had acted criminally against Chinese people during the war. Zhang Zhehan had never visited that shrine, instead he was just in the area enjoying the Cherry Blossom. His photo with the cherry blossoms was photoshopped to include the shrine in the background. The vicious competitor in Chinese entertainment industry used that photo to start a political framing campaign against him. His career was destroyed within a couple days. He almost lost his life due to extreme indebtedness for having to pay absurd amount of penalties demanded by the companies that he was the spokesperson…..I would say that what happened to him was the most unfair and inhuman event I had ever witnessed in my life 💔
The shrine is memorial for abt. 2.46MM war soldiers since 1853 that JPN participated ; wars that held domestically and internationally. It also includes Taiwanese-JPN and Korean-JPN soldiers who lost lives during various wars and they are about 30K total. However, the 14 out of 2.46MM are war criminals of WW2. They were guilty of war crimes against various countries including China, USA, England and etc. and they were executed.

I'm so grateful that he didn't give up. He should be on his way to Amsterdam to get his Best Documentary award soon, I hope he can win bigger and live better, that's the best revenge to those ppl who wanted him to disappear. I know population is huge in China but I wish ZZ could really work on his English and break into the US, Canada UK entertainment industry. He has such talent. It seems some really dark players are involved in his harm.

It's still long way to go though, I hope with this recent win of Best Documentary in ARFF (a movie awards in Europe) he can expand his network and get more opportunities there. I know it's hard to leave the country and continue career in another country which speaks another language (I still struggle after 20 yrs) but when China is no longer the place for dreamers we have to seek somewhere else
I saw one of his videos on Iqiyi website but maybe it was only available for overseas. They did only promote the FL on the thumbnail instead. I was surprised because I hadn’t seen any of his dramas promoted on the main page in forever.
I miss ZZH and his acting so much! His treatment was extremely unfair. I've followed him since Legend of Yunxi. He is a fantastic actor. He not only survived gracefully himself, but also saved many people who went through depression/brokenheart/brokenbelief because of this inhuman 813 event. So much respect for him❤❤❤
Xiao Zhan went through something similar and just as brutal in 2020. Luckily he survived and came back better than ever with help from government authorities.

Thanks for continuing to follow ZZH's story Marcus. I am glad he finally found his voice and defended himself. Not that he needed to - Chidorigafuchi is the must go spot for cherry blossoms in Tokyo. I have been there many times myself and it is always swarming with Mainland Chinese tourists. I am sure most of them have no clue that the shrine is there hiding in plain sight. It is beyond unfair for him to be cancelled like that for doing what most tourists from his country do during cherry blossom season.

Just for people who don’t know what happened to Zhang Zhehan, he was framed with the false information and photoshopped pictures by the vicious competitor! As the result of that he lost everything he had, he lost the right to use his own name, his name was not allowed in many of the application system (e.g.his name is not allowed to be used in Huawei’s phone as a nickname, also his name was not allowed in many food delivering order system). Mr. Zhang is not only an extremely talented actor and singer,but is also a very good person with high integrity. So sad that even though every rumor about him was false, that even though he lost everything there and had to paid millions penalties for the forced broken commercial endorsements, he could not and still can not have any channel for legal help there!
Zhang Zhehan only went on a trip during the cherry blossom season in 2018, but at his peak in 2021, he was slandered by competitors and used black PR tactics to create a powerful public opinion, causing his entire career to come to a halt. It was Zhang Zhehan's strength and resilience that allowed him to stand up again, start anew, and achieve impressive results. But the harm to him has not stopped until now, which is infuriating!
I was appalled by the accusations levelled on Zhang Zehan then, just for taking pictures. I found it absurd even . I am sure we will never even know the truth

I've read that too, that the whole narrative was made up to target him and Zhao wei whose company managed him at the time. Hard to know what to believe really 🤷
I have heard that too. That someone he acted with who was not as gifted in acting(ZZH gave him tips) or singing(as he is tone deaf) seemed to view him as a rival and competition for acting roles. This person also has a mother who is highly connected to the communist party. So it was arranged using the three year old photos of the trip to Japan into a major smear campaign to end his acting career.
I believe that most of the cases of cancelling artists in China are related to someone powerful in the CCP. They most probably offended someone who has money and power.
I am glad to see Zhang Zhehan stepping out and clarified all rumours personally. Never knew China was a society not governed by laws, and I think that’s why all the talented and good Chinese eventually left China be it to pursue their career or a better life

I miss ZZH soooo much. He was one of my fav actors, very talented. I was so heartbroken with what happened. It was basically a witch-hunt. They leave no room for him to breathe or even attempt to let him explain himself. Looking at Korea and china, I hate that the media and netizens have that much power over celebrities.
The people who have actually “hurt the Chinese sentiments” are the heartless perpetrators, the idiotic Chinese netizens that swallow whatever is fed to them, and the lazy Chinese state media who did not investigate the matter before criticising. Now the world can see that China is a place where a person can be convicted at the court of public opinion, have all his rights taken away, and not given a course to seek redress. Shame on you, China!
Ironically, if this incident hadn’t happened, I would have moved on from Zhang Zhehan. But because the incident was overblown, I had to investigate. Once I found out what a sunny, talented, and upright man he is, I became his diehard fan. It’s the same story repeated with many fans. Not only did the perpetrators failed to bring him down, they made him more beloved.
Those dark forces who spent a year trying to cancel Xiao Zhan in 2020 were pissed that their mission failed because government support helped revive his career. I suspect they turned their sight on the next victim ZZH by manipulating public opinion using a very sensitive subject of Yakusuni shrine by photo manipulation and false narratives to incriminate ZZH as a traitor. Hopefully the govt is working behind the scenes to sort out the real traitors and clear ZZH’s name .
I was just getting into ZZH when all that went down. He deserved better. I am glad he is still able to entertain. I love Elvis Han so I may have to see that one and zhang jingyi is a great actress so that is a maybe too. The whole billing fanwars are a mess. The fact that a studio even has to put a statement about that is too much. I have been watching too many dramas lately so hopefully I will find a good one soon.
I can't remember which drama it was a while back, but the fan war on billing order got intense. Since then, some dramas have preempted with this kind of notice.

Quite stupid for China govt to blacklist good actors like Zhang Zhehan (and Deng Lun) from the industry which is why the industry ends up having the same few male leads who can't act well.

It is well-known fact in China that to get a lead role in a big budget drama, the actor/actress must be backed by top agencies and it doesn't matter whether they can act well because their agencies will keep pushing them for lead roles until they eventually hit it big (no audition needed). I must say that’s a pretty strong statement but I can understand why you would think that if you only watch idol dramas. I can hardly finish an idol drama here recently for a variety of reasons so I wouldn’t put the blame entirely on the actors. An article I read last week provided a list of The Top 20 Actors In China. I read each profile, noted all their projects. From the list I watched Cliff Walkers on Prime over the weekend. It was terrific! Zhang Yi as the lead who is a favorite actor of mine and who starred in The Knockout. If you haven’t seen TKO on IQIYI and CWs on Prime I highly recommend them. The entire cast was fabulous. It was packed with veteran actors. Joy Of Life S1&2 is another drama packed with an all star cast. Hu Ge is highly regarded in the Chinese film industry as well. His notable dramas are Nirvana In Fire, Chinese Paladin and Blossom Shanghai. These actors are hardly seen in idol dramas. I enjoy idol dramas for their light and easy content. They help me relax and escape to a whole new world. I often shakes my head in disbelief or I crack up laughing at certain dramas that over use their creative license card. My advice is to watch what you consider good and delete those that waste your time. Don’t be afraid to watch an old drama as they most likely will have actors you haven’t seen as yet. Believe me they are in abundance. Enjoy🌸💃🏽

The idea that ZZH still thinks or hes still claiming he lost his career because of the photo in Japan is insane. There have been nearly all Chinese celebs who have had similar pics in their feeds, he must know that, it makes me mad to still see him having to “prove” he loves china, after they completely destroyed his career for nothing.

Glad ZZH has taken a moment to clarify. When I read about what happened with him, it seemed pretty obvious that he had been targeted by somebody with the resources to flood the internet with their version of events and intimidate or sway people with authority over such matters to swiftly penalize him. I'd love to find out why, but I guess we may never know.
The news about Blue Lion is sad ... Under the Power was one of the first dramas that I watched and enjoyed.... it had an interesting story line.
Looking forward to free time to watch more of the dramas I have only dipped my metaphorical toes into...

The treatment of Zhang Zhehan is probably Chinas biggest entertainment shame. His career was destroyed overnight by some very powerful people and demonstrates how truly corrupt and evil the CCP are.
So powerful are they that other artists are scared to stand up for someone they know was framed.
Unfortunately the one individual who did support him publicly was also silenced and I’m not talking about Gong Jun. His silence speaks volumes.
Gong Jun has never really recovered, IMO. People may have been opposed to ZZH, but they also didn't like the look of GJ's studio shedding their association with him so rapidly and publicly. Not saying he hasn't gotten some good roles, but public excitement about him has cooled.
Sad.
@@cmaven4762 I loved Gong Jun in WOH. And I understand he was just looking out for himself but I still I think he behaved like total weenie over ZZH. I just can't bear to watch any of his dramas since and I am low key happy to see they all flopped.

Gong Jun is not as good an actor as ZZH, he just has a pretty face for some, I would prefer a ZZH drama anytime 🙏
I honestly don’t blame Gong Jun. In another country you might call him a coward but in China being brave can cost you your career or even your freedom. I could never again support him though.

Yes. This Shrine commemorates who died in WW2, and of course participated killing Chinese. Chinese government is always against Prime minister to worship this Shrine. ZZH has never visited Yasukuni Shrine. He was just framed by vicious competitors.
Yes, this shrine was founded to commemorates those Japanese who had served in the war, which included some who had acted criminally against Chinese people during the war. Zhang Zhehan had never visited that shrine, instead he was just in the area enjoying the Cherry Blossom. His photo with the cherry blossoms was photoshopped to include the shrine in the background. The vicious competitor in Chinese entertainment industry used that photo to start a political framing campaign against him. His career was destroyed within a couple days. He almost lost his life due to extreme indebtedness for having to pay absurd amount of penalties demanded by the companies that he was the spokesperson…..I would say that what happened to him was the most unfair and inhuman event I had ever witnessed in my life 💔

The shrine is memorial for abt. 2.46MM war soldiers since 1853 that JPN participated ; wars that held domestically and internationally. It also includes Taiwanese-JPN and Korean-JPN soldiers who lost lives during various wars and they are about 30K total. However, the 14 out of 2.46MM are war criminals of WW2. They were guilty of war crimes against various countries including China, USA, England and etc. and they were executed.
@ Oh my goodness. What a sad history. I was in Nagasaki and visited the atomic bomb site that was horrendous to everyone involved. Do you think I would be ostracized in my country? Absolutely not. Marcus, the first episode of See Her Again in Cantonese is on RUclips. Not sure whether all ten will be on but I'm watching it :). It's been so long since I've seen a Canto program, the sound of HK Canto accent in speech is a little weird LOLOLOL.
