My sister-in-law went through this back in the late 90's. When I first met Paloma, her hair was still short from having shaved her head in support of her big sister. So many of the experiences you shared reminded me of what Paloma went through with kidney failure. The picc lines, the headaches, the infusions, endless hours of sitting in chairs getting treatments. She was also one of those who could taste saline as well as anything else they injected into her system. Iron was the worst so she kept Kit Kats on hand to cover up the flavor. I just want to thank you for sharing this experience here. Even if Hank doesn't see this video, I know it will help others to know they aren't alone in this fight.
