Due to popular demand, I've linked a similar organizer in the video description. The exact one is not available anymore but I found a very similar one :)
So refreshing seeing someone with a “normal” amount of makeup! Sometimes I feel like I need to buy new products just because every influencer rave about it. And in some way it can almost be… stressful? I don’t have the money to spend on every high-end makeup product out there. I think to myself, if you find a product that works for you, why buy a new one? I try to remind myself that! Loved this video and your setup ❤
Remember these influencers buy new products constantly cuz it's literally their job to review every brand new product. Plus they get sent so many high end products so really don't feel bad about it
Thanks! And I know what you mean: my collection used to be double this at least! It took a lot of work to stop buying and start using / parting ways with some of the products. But once you reach a capsule collection like this you have time to really experiment with each product. You'll get there! 😊💕
In my 20s I also became a 'makeup junkie' and had a mega full makeup table. Now I'm 32 and moved to a new home and minimanized to about your stash's size! :) it's more fullfilling and I use everythinf I have almost daily.
I think we were both victims of the youtube beauty boom 😂 when I turned 30 I felt so overwhelmed with everything I had I started decluttering and now I'm soooo happy with a medium/small collection that's actually being used!
I have a similarly sized collection! I try to spend thoughtfully. I did have a larger collection because it was like, ten years of makeup where most had expired 💀 anyway, thanks for sharing! Your makeup area is cute and comforting. The white and wood is just nice together.
Tape residue can be removed with a tiny drip of oil cleanser or simply any liquid oil on a cotton pad. You just need to rub it till it comes off :) hope this helps! I loved your collection and your cute drawer as well!
A tip for the Bourjois foundation. I have the same problem with the new Loreal Infallible foundation - it stick to my dry spots, doesn't have a silky finish. I was about to give it away to a friend when the lady at my local drugstore told me to try and mix the foundation with my moisturizer. It worked. It had a nice finish...almost like a BB cream on your face. You can build it up as much as you like. I don't go for full coverage because my skin doesn't need a lot of correction but I've noticed that if you keep applying you can build it up to full coverage.
I actually tried this last weekend and it was better! It still looked a little patchy after a few hours, but it went on so much smoother and looked great for the first 4-5hrs. So thankfully it's not going entirely to waste 😂 Thanks for sharing the tip 💕
It feels sooo refreshing watching your video. I used to be a make up collector until I started struggling with my bills. That's when I realized how unnecessary all of that was. A lot of things I threw away, because I never really used them, but they were too old to give them away. Now I'm all about emptying things and buying drugstore products on the cheaper side. It's an easier life.
20:57 If you want to remove the sticky glue residue that the tape leaves on your lipsticks, just apply a little bit of oil on the residue and leave it overnight. You’ll be able to wipe off the glue next morning with soapy wash cloth. Hope it helps! :)
Oh nice! I'll have to try that. In the past I tried using alcohol and in some cases it ruined the packaging so I avoid doing it... But I'll try the oil trick! Thanks
I feel like your minimalistic makeup collection is very similar to mine, I keep things that I don’t REALLY love but try to finish anyways. Also your voice is so soothing and nice to listen to. Thanks for the video 😊❤
I’m going through the opposite: I have a minimal makeup setup, but I’ve been rly exited with some makeup items I found, which is making me grow my collection… But I absolutely do not picture myself rushing into buying everything at once (don’t even have the money for that). Here are some of the things I like the most: “tinted glossy/ creamy lip stuff” and Disney/ Barbie/ Winx Club collectible makeup (still couldn’t find anything Winx, but I have lots of Disney stuff and a Barbie makeup mirror on my wishlist)! Huge hugs!!
love it ! just recently had to move back in with my parents to help them since they are getting older and it’s difficult saying goodbye to stuff i don’t even use anymore - but this inspired me to declutter and have a smaller collection to use all my products ❤
Rare beauty blush Tips Putt one little dip on your cheeks and blend it with your finger in (trust the process) wet your beauty blender with fixing spray ( essence pixy catrice...) not too wet and blend the blush with the blender ❤❤❤❤
I loved seeing your minimal(ish) collection! I more or less have a similar size collection but some stuff just don't work for me, and I'm missing a lot of stuff so I hope to curate stuff that I actually love and use with everything I need but with a little variety. Also, if you ever hit pan and run out of some products and you wanna try something new, I highlyyy recommend korean beauty products from yesstyle or olive young. Their quality is the same if not better than most high-end western brands at drugstore prices basically, especially their lip products!
It's definitely a process trying out all the products and learning to use the ones that don't work so they don't go to waste. I used to just forget about what I didn't like after two or three uses and buy the next thing, but that's so wasteful... so now I give products a good chance before I declutter them and then research the next thing to avoid waste. You'll get there, I'm sure! Just keep doing your research and testing out your things :) And thanks for the recommendations!
Oh! For the rare beauty blush - the way they say to use it is to put it on BEFORE foundation and put foundation on top of it. I have never used a blush like that but that’s how they use it.. wonder if it would help tone it down
@@pannedbyanna I agree with you that using that expensive blush on the back of the hand is simply wasting a lot of product, so instead it's better to directly place the blush wand on your cheeks. Try to use a very tiny dot like the size of a mole.
You might could mix your two foundation shades together in order to get use of them both-it might shade correct the too-light color and give more hydration to the drugstore one. :)
Just started doing that a few days ago! But it messes with the beautiful finish of the Shiseido foundation :( So I'm going Casper for now and then fixing it with bronzer / blush haha
If you want a similar product to the rare beauty blush but easier to work or sheerer, try the ELF ones, they look very similar but I find the ELF easier
Niceeeee! I loved it! minimal and enough! I'm minimizing my makeup collection the most I can't, finishing first the products that I already have, and then not experimenting too much, if I love something I repurchase it
I've decided to stop experimenting with foundations and concealers. I know which ones work for me and I'm sticking to those! Any time I try something different it tends to be a miss 😩
That little drawer organizer is very cute. Some makeup tips I thought I’d share: - you can mix the liquid highlighter into your foundation or even into your sunscreen/body lotion for a “from within glow” - you can mix the not pigmented liquid blush with a dot of the super pigmented one or add pressed powder/a tiny dot of liquid foundation over the blush to soften it up. -you can mix a bit of the red lipsticks with your other ones to give it a bit of color You never to have to settle for using makeup the one way it was sold as or is intended. I don’t purchase bright colorful eyeshadows when I can use my blushes, I sometimes use lipsticks as cream blushes and sometimes use darker eyeshadows as bronzers if the color is decent enough, and I sometimes mix foundation into moisturizer to use as “tinted moisturizer”. 🙂

You can remove the tape/sticker residue very easily by putting a little baby oil on a cloth and rub it onto the residue. Keep rubbing until it dissolves and you can just wipe it away
For the Rare Beauty blush, have you tried scraping the excess off on the edge of the opening? That way you aren't wasting a ton of product, and you get to better control the amount you place on your face.
Girl summer is coming …pull that red lipstick out ! …it’s so French …just so classy especially with a minimal make up and your fair complexion..just dap it on the lips and use your finger to stain it out ..❤

I love red lips! It was my go to for years too, but I've evolved into other shades and now prefer more muted reds/pinks. I still rock a red lip during Christmas though!
A little tip for the rare beauty blush; put only one dot on each cheek and blend well, that is usually enough😊 and if you want more u just add another dot, but yeah i also have it (the mini) and it literally NEVER run out when you just put one dot and you don’t waste your product
Like any other girl, i was also used to buy lots of makeup and have had large stock, but now in my late 30s it seems like a mess so i have decluttered alot of makeup and kept it minimal now, its now exactly as much as you have shown in this video, very minimal and clean ❤

I know! I still use my pink one for special events like weddings and stuff because it's so comfortable and long lasting at the same time, and super easy to re-apply using your phone as a mirror 😂 I'm so disappointed that they decided to discontinue them
One foundation is never enough for me. One day my skin is different than the next. Sometimes I need more coverage or I want a light coverage on normal days. And in the summer I have more color in my face than in the winter.
It seems like you've had a few disappointments in makeup, I hope you manage to finish them! Lots of lovely tones. Btw have you tried mixing moisturizer with that Bourjois foundation? I actually rarely wear my foundation any other way because I love the glow and comfort, and how well everything else goes on top

I loved your products, I just can't bring myself to continue purchasing so much bc i can't finish the products then they go bad and it's all wasted and barely used so i also don't buy much anymore and i think it's better
buying only when you need to replace something is so much better! it makes me feel really excited to research something properly instead of just mindlessly buying everything that's trendy
I wouldnt say you have a minimal collection, you have a normal one. I think this is the amount of makeup people who are not into "beauty content" actually own.
I'm not a fan of the word normal 😂 I have friends who aren't into beauty content but have loads more makeup, as well as people who consume a lot of beauty content and have very little.
love this video ! could you tell me what the drawer thing reference is please ? i'd like to buy this to put my makeup in because I'm tired of having 2 ou 3 cases lmao
oof, as a 5 minute makeup fanatic I don't know how open I'd be to doing that haha but it's not a bad idea, maybe I'll experiment with that on the weekend!
Hola!
This reminds me of how expired the majority of my makeup is. A lot of it is from 2019. Probably due a refresh 😂. I don’t wear it too often but I have graduation coming up.
I'd say throw out creams (foundations, concealers...) and anything that goes around the eye. Powders can last a bit longer as long as they look and smell fine! You're not supposed to use them past the date but honestly, I don't know anyone who throws out their powders after 12 or 18 months 😅

I loved your products, I just can't bring myself to continue purchasing so much bc i can't finish the products then they go bad and it's all wasted and barely used so i also don't buy much anymore and i think it's better
buying only when you need to replace something is so much better! it makes me feel really excited to research something properly instead of just mindlessly buying everything that's trendy
i rlly like this video
Baby oil will take the tape residue off.
this is overconsumption. It is just AESTHETIC.
Thank you!
Love this.
Take alcohol and rub it on the lipstick case and done with the tape.Super easy.
Id loveto get my collection down to this size again! Refreshing to watch. Do you have a link to the organizer?
Sadly no... I got it years ago, but I'm sure there are similar styles if you search bamboo organizer or something along those lines
I wouldnt say you have a minimal collection, you have a normal one. I think this is the amount of makeup people who are not into "beauty content" actually own.
What 😂
I'm not a fan of the word normal 😂 I have friends who aren't into beauty content but have loads more makeup, as well as people who consume a lot of beauty content and have very little.
Agreed, I'd say it's about the perfect size. I like to keep mine in a similar size container and you can do a lot with this stuff
This is definitely a minimal collection
I thought I was minimal but I have more than this. I consider this minimal.
I need to do this, my makeup has gotten out of control.
Take it easy in yourself! You'll get it back under control 😊 i found that by shopping my stash instead of shopping in stores I started to feel better
love this video ! could you tell me what the drawer thing reference is please ? i'd like to buy this to put my makeup in because I'm tired of having 2 ou 3 cases lmao
I got it years ago on amazon, so I can't find the exact one but if you search bamboo makeup organizers you can find similar ones
Love your set up!😍I downsized before too but as soon as mask mandatory was lift off oh boy I started accumulating again :)
Yeah... I get the feeling! As long as you're using and enjoying your makeup collection, that's what's most important!
Hi! New subbies here. I myself trying to downsize and use up all my makeup so your video here is such an inspiration ❤
I'm do happy to hear that. Good luck on finding the perfect amount for your collection 🥰
love it
You can try to mix the two liquid blushes (orgasm and hope) in a small container and create a perfect medium in opacity 😅
oof, as a 5 minute makeup fanatic I don't know how open I'd be to doing that haha but it's not a bad idea, maybe I'll experiment with that on the weekend!
loved it
love the video, such a nice amount of make up! which eyelash curler do you use btw? :)
it's from a local Spanish drugstore brand :)
I love this video ❤ and your voice~
Lovely!
i really wanna see all ur lip products swatched on ur skin, i have very pale skin and am curious if ur lippies would compliment my skin too:)
that's a really good idea! I'll make a note to film that soon ❤️
Where did you get that white and brown makeup box from? That is the perfect size to hold my items ❤
It's amazon but I don't have a link, it was years ago. You can search bamboo makeup organizers and find similar options 😊
Omg! I also live in Spain :) do you have any Mercadona faves? I’d be very interested bc I can almost never find reviews online 😿
We have the exact same lipsticks 😂
