The founders did go through a lot BUT they perpetuated the same thing!!! The 9 BLACK fraternities and sororities still operate on the basis of exclusion!! In the early years you weren’t able to join unless your skin tone was NOT darker than a brown paper bag! These organizations are a networking opportunity that everyone will not be able to be a part of…. The Boule started ALL of this and that was started by a light skinned black man passing for white and two Jewish men!! These are the same men who started the NAACP….
Humans exclude in every area of life. Even the "inclusive" humans exclude. Exclusion, in part, led to the creation of Kappa Alpha Psi, which includes some people. Thinking more broadly, I cannot think of a living creature that does not exclude in some way. It seems to be a part of life itself. Can you think of a truly all-inclusive human organization?
