OMG!!! I can’t believe I found this video!! I saw them a few years back when I was coming off the train. Immediately I fell in love with the music and energy!! But I forgot to get the band’s name because I was rushing to get somewhere. Sadly I never crossed path with them again and moved away to another state. Thank you thank you for posting this video!!
Love the way that they put a Ska beat to their version of Funky Town, it works brilliantly. Gotta try and catch these guys next time they're on tour in Europe. Which hopefully will be pretty soon.......the atmosphere at one of their gigs must must be brilliant!! Great musicians, cool band.
I did trumpet for the first 2 years of my marching band and i switched to tenor sax shortly after for the rest of the school year. This marching band season I'm doing tenor. I feel uncomfortable sitting down with the damn instrument xD
Love Lucky Chops. Played you most of the day yesterday after discovering you in the morning. Your pounding energy and sound pumped life back into me, weak as recovering from Cancer but getting mobile so will be walking the pavements of London to your beat. Thank you Chops NYC.
Just caught this, hope you guys are still at it. What a way to start or end your day on the work cycle. Don't stop, this stuff is vital for us to enjoy our lives. Love the crazyness, freedom and abandomness. We need more!!!!
Lucynthia Ritonia Lol, I think everyone who wasn't dancing were trying to record everything with steady hands! Although, it does seem like a waste when you keep yourself from getting into the music, just for something that 50 other people are gonna post online anyway
I have ptsd and am depressed all the time until I watch this band, I forget about my pain and want to live and dance with Leo P! At least in my dreams. I love you all Lucky chops!
Music inspires and nobody can help but admire. Even when a high school marching band begins to jam out people joke and make fun but cant help but be impressed.
BadassAMV's As a past musician I can agree. There's no other feeling like it when you play a amazing solo or succeed at a perfect improv. it's like a high on a whole nother level.
I LOVE this clip! Especially the build-up and the explosion of sound and movement at 2:20. The first time I saw this, I was manic as fuck and I watched this clip, and that part in particular, for four hours straight, danced to it, sang my own lyrics to it until I pretty much passed out from complete exhaustion :P I have never heard or seen anything more awesome than this! Had to show this clip to my psychiatrist the other day to explain, and she thought it'd be better if I would not watch this band anymore. Right. Like that's going to happen -) I'm seeing them live next week in Cologne, Germany :P Probably the only chance I'll ever have to seeing them live ever again :o Fuck me if I ain't there!
At the 4:08 mark, I like how the Sousaphone player was improvising more with the bassline, playing it a bit differently while still having it fit with the rest of the arrangement. He seemed to be having a lot of fun at that particular moment.
Well these guys aren't making music they are covering music. I haven't seen many of the videos they might be making their own I don't know. But they are good
I literally cannot get enough of these guys. I mean...I just watch it over and over. Too bad Leo P went out on his own. But I guess he's just that good.
Lucky chops, i work while playing your music. You're my lately favorite band. Love the energy, the music and the passion. Love from a small office in Polen
the only band where drummer is the most calm person
and suzaphone
GT mino no the sousaphone was blasting too
Right?..the whole time he's like..'just another day at the office'...lol
System of a Down

They went deaf as well, but it was good fun.

You are so lucky that you got to see them in person
F
please tell me the atmosphere was as good in real life as it is on youtube!
@@ebl36 Better!!
when u love them, u have to watch the german band "Labrassbanda". a bavarian folk band but with a lot of dance music!
I love the sax player flying all over the place. Gets me every time I see it.
If only performances like this were well payed enough to be more common... that would be amazing! The 🎷 bari saxe’s moves tho... 👌
this right there...that's living.
nytolstoy right...full of life. Cheers!
most likely nothing considering the cardiovascular endurance playing like that takes
your heads shaped like an egg

I want to go see these guys in person. FANTASTIC
just a heads up it is extremely hard to get tickets
I was able to buy tickets yesterday for $13 each online. Pretty easy to me! Although...I am in Georgia. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Hannah Buckner WAIT WHERE??? I'M IN GEORGIA TOO
Taylor Crabtree they played two nights ago at Terminal West in ATL! It was phenomenal.
Hannah Buckner
the dude playing the bari is a living legend
Amen!!
His name is leo p
I can barely march with my bari and this guy's legs are flying across the tile.
Ikr
I'm 68 yo with other things to do but I'm here on the couch watching TOO MANY ZOOZ!
+Sharon Keith They are Lucky Chops, not Too Many Zooz (but LeoP the bari guy is indeed from TMZ)
I did trumpet for the first 2 years of my marching band and i switched to tenor sax shortly after for the rest of the school year. This marching band season I'm doing tenor. I feel uncomfortable sitting down with the damn instrument xD
Ari Yeni don't be a wuss try wearing a sousaphone
How could you not like this? The band is great. The guy in red shirt killed it with his footwork. ♥️😊♥️
That saxophone guy is sick! His dance moves and how good he is to play!!
That's LeoP
@@TrexsterInNC has he still got the legs?
@@TrexsterInNC Leo Pellegrino
I wanna learn his moves any videos where it has moves similar to him
I admit I watch this video every couple of weeks. It just puts a big smile in my mood. Leo P just owns the floor.
I can't get enough of Lucky Chops! They make me feel so good! Thanks for putting a smile on my face! If I am ever in New York I will come pay a visit!
Love Lucky Chops. Played you most of the day yesterday after discovering you in the morning. Your pounding energy and sound pumped life back into me, weak as recovering from Cancer but getting mobile so will be walking the pavements of London to your beat. Thank you Chops NYC.
What a party ! love this sooo much ! amazing to see how they love to do this, real musicians ! they are really contagious !

DUDE!! How can all those people just STAND THERE!??! I'm sitting down but I still have to move to the rhythm.
Lucynthia Ritonia Lol, I think everyone who wasn't dancing were trying to record everything with steady hands! Although, it does seem like a waste when you keep yourself from getting into the music, just for something that 50 other people are gonna post online anyway
Lucynthia Ritonia well I'm not exactly moving....but does eating to the rhythm count?? 😅
Lucynthia Ritonia well I feel ya but I'm holding a tuba at the moment so I cannot
Shit, I'm dancing my tail off and I'm a prehistoric dinosaur from children's movie series.
trying to be funny without being funny is actually not funny, Sir.
To perform like this, you have to love what you play. I can't get enough. New Orleans is another place with great street musicians.
I have ptsd and am depressed all the time until I watch this band, I forget about my pain and want to live and dance with Leo P! At least in my dreams. I love you all Lucky chops!
The tuba has a dope bassline during the I feel good section!
you gotta love NYC... the city that never sleeps... :D
derKarl I believe you're thinking of Chicago. They can't sleep or someone's gonna steal their shit lol

It doesn't change. I'm like on view #50.
Great band, I saw them in Jan 2016 at the Grand Central Station!

Makes me soooo happy! Love their performances.

Amazing mash-up. Have been coming back to watch this for years now and just now realized that the first 15 seconds are Mr. Saxobeat. Cool!

I would just love to play Sousaphone in a band like this! What joy it must be to just be blasting away :D
That tubist was fire.
Ikr he's so under appreciated
+bath sim 2k15 idk, feels like he's definitely overplaying a lot on the upper range and not projecting lower notes enough.
+Antique Sofa it is easier to hear high notes than low notes that is why
+Bing Chua that's true, but he's definitely overplaying. Could be a bit of the fact that his bell is pointed sideways towards the camera, but still.
+Antique Sofa and also this is not there regular tubist :)
Best saxophonist footwork in NYC
Best band video I've seen this whole year so far
Impossibile non ballare.... questi sono completamente folli ma fantastici.....
I swear half of these views are mine
Lol
at least 20% of his views are me at the least xD
Just can't stop watching this - fabulous!!!
Dem high notes on the trumpet are not fucking easy to hit
Neither are they on the Bari Saxophone.
+Carter W @ 1:45. I heard that !
lol
Takes years of practice, six years of playing and can only play a b if lucky, especially hard with braces
6 years of playing and I can hit E above staff. But I am not just average at trumpet.
wow - they make this song so cool! Love the energy and all the brass.
