i rly appreciate how you actually go through with showing the cleanup process, one of the scariest things is assembling an expensive saber and this really puts your mind at ease

I am reasonably confident in assembly of the hilt, but the wiring and programming is what scares me. I’ve done a LITTLE soldering a while ago. Does this come with a wiring guide?

I’d imagine when Goth3Designs (who makes the chassis) releases their video it will probably go over a lot of that stuff. If you’ve done even a little soldering before, the hardest part is over already which is familiarizing yourself with how it works.
I’m a little sad I didn’t have the money to jump on this hilt. As far as builds go it looks so easy. Being able to take that side panel off is a game-changer in terms of installability.

Are all the screws you remove to get them set up for display hex keys?

I glued it like you did, evel looked to have the same amount but it did not work out the glue spred on the surface and on my fingers. Now I need to bathe the hilts in acetone so that I can take the merall parts away and work with double adehesive tape. Im not conpatible with glueing everytime it ends in a catastrophy😩

Yes. You need to glue the body inserts regardless of which kit you have. I suggest getting a multi hex key set. Normally you can get a entire variation of sizes cheaply on Amazon. Just make sure it’s Metric and not Imperial sized.

The only downside to these sabers is… HOW EXPENSIVE THEY ARE!!! Like it get that they are the most accurate and they are actually thin and not fat like other models but over 1000$ for EMPTY HILTS??!!! Then it’s 1500$ for installed!!! I just can’t afford that. I could get Taylor swift tickets for that much!

And the thing is, I agree with you. ☺️ Even as the creator of these, because we can’t mass produce them in high numbers, i.e. thousands of them, we just can’t make them cheap enough 😭 Our first run was about 200 sets. I wish we were able to finance mass runs to where we can likely half the price, but, with the Chinese Saber manufactures out-producing us, despite them being much less accurate, those end up being bought by the majority of the community instead. There are less customers now who care about the accuracy of these designs and more who care about the cost even if they’re thicker, less accurate, poorly machined etc. it just needs to fit within a budget for them. Maybe one day, as we grow, we can help keep costs lower with a larger customer base 😁
