To put it simply, the One Piece world is larger than our own earth.
There's even a side story of a guy going to the moon and amassed a tiny robot army.

If I remember correctly Oda said the world of one piece is as big as jupiter in our solar system when compared to earth

Oda never gave an estimate for the size of the One Piece world. What you heard was likely a fan estimate, which are notoeiously unreliable, ranging anywhere from the same size as earth to many times the size of the sun.

best part of one piece's world is just how much of it is inspired by the real world. its like a fantastical take on the things of our world and myths

There is gonna be a cicada explosion this year. 3 different batches of them are aligning in hatching for the first time in like 200+ years. It's gonna be a noisy summer down south.
Right now I'm at ep 902 and I've had the best time watching one piece, It's an emotional and amazing roller coaster throughout the whole show, everything has importance even the littlest things you think has no meaning or use. And PS never judge a by it's cover
