These were Not perfectly manufactured Bodys.. Period. ANY XK examples that are a smooth and well fitting as a Moderne Car is the purely result of Lots of Bondo work
today you need deep pockets just to fuel this car. Someone was telling me they averaged 13 to 18 miles per gallon. Petrol in the US would have been very cheap in the 50s. Most were sold outside of England
