    I love resorts out of season before the crowds arrive. For me, that's the best time.
    You got some really great shots here - terrific birdsong too
    Another great video Ron - well done. The music was rather excellent too.
    Hope you have a good weekend.

    Good morning Ron and thank you for today's video from Cornwall. It is obviously one of your favourite places to visit and I see you have even gone as far as having your own boat moored there - look at the registration on the boat at exactly 4 minutes into the video!
    I love Cornwall too, although the last time I was down there walking on Bodmin Moor I lost my phone whilst walking between Rough Tor and Brown Willy (no sniggering at the back there please). Thankfully, I met up with someone who offered to walk the path with me again and to keep ringing my number to see if we could here it as we walked by. After only a short distance we heard it and I found the phone in some grass behind a rock. I would never have found it using eyesight alone. The battery was almost exhausted as the phone was still running some of the navigation apps that I use, so all in all I was extremely fortunate that day!
    Looking forward to next weeks offering Ron. in the meantime, have a great week. Regards Trev

      Hi Trev, last walk I did on the moors was using a map and compass, not as easy as it sounds on featureless moorland with mist not far away. I think I got home more by luck than judgment, it is much easier now I imagine - provided you don't lose your phone!! What a kind person you met, not many of those left. Keep tramping. Ron

    • @757trev
      @757trev 9 месяцев назад

      @@ParkinsonsWalks Yes, I always carry paper map and compass as a backup. In this case I wasn't lost and even the cost of a new phone paled into insignificance compared to having to re-instate all my apps and contacts etc!! What did we ever do before these wretched things were invented!!

    Morning Ron, you seem to have a very good knack of framing your subject so well. Nice to see Padstow without it teeming with people. I saw a layout the other day on youtube where someone has recreated the old line from the other side of the bridge all the way down to the station and fish packing warehouse. It was wonderful! Cheers Simon

    Well, Ron. That was up to your usual standard. I noticed you had the nice lady assistant with you, keeping you in check . Mary knows Padstow very well, or so she tells me! Beautiful sunsets at the end of the day, but you do have to be patient at times. Was that you and Pauline dueting at the end?

      @ParkinsonsWalks  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Lionel, yes Mary is right, you do need patience for sunset hunting, that is why my 'Lady Assistant' wasn't with me for that part. A few days without rain at last. Enjoy. Ron

    Mornin' Ron, I always love seeing the water so flat and calm, especially in harbours areas, really adds to the atmosphere, but ....... no dredgers!!! Nice interview with the old ferryman though!! When are you coming round with the pasties, I can see there is a queue forming .....
    I'm back home at the moment but will be going back for the funeral in a weeks time. Its an interesting contrast for my wife and the Spanish side of the family. Over here the funeral takes place within two days, which always seems far too quick to me but stretching it out is really no better. We are busy with preparations. Mum is doing well too.
    Have a great weekend

    Hi Ron. Absolutely beautiful videography as we have come to expect, and many opportunities to extract calendar views for those more inclined to water than rail. Remember, I'm first in line as distributor/manager of the enterprise. I'm glad to see you had the opportunity of a bit of a holiday and that the weather cooperated. OVM was making mournful noises from the garage today. I discovered her sitting next to a moderate heap of polyester stuffing and a rather deflated plush squirrel toy that I had purchased for her yesterday. I can attest that dogs can express guilt far better with their facial expression than most humans, and her look was classic. I reckon I'll be visiting "Dollarama" tomorrow for a replacement. Yes, I admit, she has me wrapped around her metacarpal digit.Have a good week Ron, see you on Friday.

      Ron, that dog is so spoiled especially since she was so sick last year. The other day she lay on the floor in front of her bowl, nose stretched out, whining quietly. The bowl was full of delicious, healthy food. I had previously made the mistake of adding a bit of fried "hotdog" to her food, that she loved. I was out of them, so I hopped on my bike at 10:00 p.m. to hit the nearest late night dispensary of aforementioned delicacy. I got home, cut about a third of one into small bits, popped it in the microwave then stirred it into the food in her bowl. She wolfed it down. Let's just say that I always make sure that I have hotdogs in the fridge now...@@ParkinsonsWalks
