Out of everything on TY, yours is easier for me to remember ...I do like 1 - 9...but I believe you should drop the 10 (well that's what i did & works great) and add "0". A much better is "0" for BasketBall or Ball

The tricky part is that you gotta have to put more representations in your arsenal as you practice each day for that quick association and combination of thoughts that makes sense, hence easier recall...like for example no. 6 = guitar (bearing similar to letter g also), girl on Yoga upside down position, Boots...a pair of boots for no. 66 etc....then as you improve, work on 2 Digits like 56 = a fat man banging a girl with 2 legs raised up the air.... 31 = a bare butt against the wall...30 = a bare butt sitting on a toilet...etc etc There's a site called random number generator where you can easily practice your skills

one crusical thing you didnt mention is how to attach an equation to a story. It's all well and good to make a story for the slope intercept form equation with the story you suggested but how will I rememver that that story is for the 'slope intercept form' equation rather than pythagoras theorem or something.
Still you gonna need a little idea how the equation looks like ..Don't base it completely on this technique. But only as an aid to recall . For example you can figure out by which equation have specific variables .

I am a retired engineer and have thousands of formulas in my head for over 50 years and I still remember them without a story that makes no sense to me. However, after watching more than 20 memory improvement videos, I realize they are all similar to memorizing a story. So I have tried this for over two weeks averaging 5 hours per day. FAIL FAIL FAIL. If I remember the story, (which is rare) it took 10 times longer than just memorizing the information 5 times. To me, you use 20 times more brain space to remember a story that doesn't make sense. I don't know if it's the engineering training, or I am too old to learn anything new or if my brain's memory bank is full.

I think you have to do better around dates. Dates are not just numbers, though it certainly helps to remember numbers
