Winona is a woman without a past and a band with an infinite future. The band's story started when Winona met master musicians Craig Armstrong and Scott Fraser with a view to creating glacial European pop music in 2006.
the video sequences are from the short movie "the very eye of night" by maya deren made in 1958

the two semi white sequences at the beginning are from the youtube transcoding. the uploaded file was H264 with AAC audio coded in VisualHub from the original file created in Final Cut Pro in DV NTSC format.
Perfect video selection and edit of Deren for this haunting, apocalyptic song!! It was so good, I thought it was the official video!!! I can't hear this song now without thinking of the amazing dancers in the stars. You should definitely try sending Craig Armstrong a copy.
I use this to wake up to every morning, it's always sunny in my life :)
Very beautiful melody. This, "As If You Said Nothing" and "ball" from "Plunkett & Macleane OST" are my favorite works of Craig Armstrong.
thanks for your appreciation! .. someone at BBC sent the link to Craig and the video made it to the official site. it is in the news section on 5 march 2008. there is another link at the winona album page for this video but it says "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."
the link from the news section still works
beautiful song

@ladusha123 Way back when I came to listen to this, I didn't get music, I got crackly noise.
Thanks for replying ... now it seems to be fixed and I can hear it perfectly :)

0.46 Sounds like the X-Files ^^
@ladusha123 )) no worries enjoy good music !
@GreenAsJade multiple kicks+youtube quality = (you thinking thers mistake)
he 'finding mistakes' because he's experiencing some audible mistakes, as he CLEARLY mentioned above..doesn't mean he's insulting the music..and he would enjoy it if it was audibly smooth, not crackling and yuk, which you seem to enjoy apparently..
@GreenAsJade why u finding mistakes? dont u enjoy the way it is?
Is this recording corrupted. It's unlistenable for me: crackling and yuk from about 0:50
