The man in the white shirt standing up clapping is the famous Russian composer Maestro Igor Krutoy. He was retired because he said that there were no more voices he would like to compose for. But when he heard Dimash, he came back from retirement and they entered into fruitful cooperation. He has already written for him many masterpieces like Olimpico (Ogni Pietra), Passione, Know, Your Love, Were Love Lives, and many older songs Dimash gave a new life (Love is Like a Dream, Love of Tired Swans and others. Greetings from Poland
OMG! Dimash you are an angel... God bless you 💖🙏💖🙏I was in his NY concert, was Amazing.. I will not get tired of hearing this young man with that wonderful gift, I cannot believe that a single human being has so much in himself, passion, emotion, beautiful personality, a great heart, and a pure and unique technique. Love it! Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤
Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏
I would not be surprised at all if within the next five years, voice teachers around the world will have Dimash performances as their gold standard example for teaching.
You can also see *Master Igor Krutoy giving Dimash a standing ovation in Dimash SOS performance. And Master Igor Krutoy did get some help, the lyric from Ogni pietra are from Lilia Vinogradova.
I am not a singer but ever since I discovered Dimash, I have learned so much about the world of singing and its techniques. You are very professional, educational and interesting to listen to. Even to a non singer like me. Welcome to the world of Dimash. I hope you will teach us about a lot more of his performances and songs :)
Same... I play a few instruments so the basics are there anywhere in my head 😂. But now suddenly I need them. I wished I had paid more attention as a kid, when my music teacher... Teached us 😅.
Thank you for the gift of analyzing in depth of Dimash's performance. It makes me understand better his talent, for which I thank you once again! In his notes mr Muhtar M says that the ethnic riff is an improvisation of 'zhoktau' ( weeping) - crying for a departed person, a traditional Kazakh grief singing for a departed person. On stage is the band A-Studio, the original creators of the song. The lead singer passed away in 2015. The riff was an omage to him! (I apologize for my english, my mother language is greek). Hopefully I will see more Dimash reactions from you, sir. Stay safe and greetings from Greece.
Muhtar M is only a random YT user though who commented it once on YT :) He jus assumed it without really knowing. He is neither a singer nor a vocal coach nor in any way linked to Dimash. According to Dimash's father it's Dimash's own rendition of a technique used in ethnic Yakutian music (that's a region in Sibiria)
He is a very exceptional artist. He had a 22 second note bridge in one breath. Thank you Mr. Goodrich, you have an excellent analysis of Dimash vocals.
I've seen vocal coaches do a 10-minute analysis of one performance of Dimash and then they're saying: There's no point making another analysis of another Dimash performance because there's not much more to say. And then there's this guy who makes an analysis of basically every single note Dimash makes, in two half-hour-long videos. Well done!
Wow. You like a vocal scientist laid down on the molecular level Dimash techniques. Thank you very much. Loved this scientific analysis! That almost double sound fry +note almost at the same time nobody ever mentioned before and I did not noticed until now. Dimash has so much layers that needs to dig and dig under. Have ever reach the bottom of what he has?
It is called bleeding, and it is usually in folk music and middle eastern, Baltic music. Dimash likes to incorporate all sounds into his music. Dimash is a prodigy and this is a gift from God that he has only worked it too it's perfection.Dimash practices singing three hours a day. He has his masters degree in composing and lyrical writing, he is going to finish with his doctorate. Dimash is very humbled, kind ,he is so generous and what is most important ,Dimash is loving,he loves all people of all ages ,race, there is no difference between you or a man or woman in a hospital or some homeless shelter, the rich guy living on his own Island. For a young man like Dimash he truly sees himself as an equal to all other human beings. He is old fashioned is how young people might call it, he believes that children are the future and he loves children deeply, in the exact way he feels about his elders, his parents, grandparents they as one unit travel as a family as much as they can for Dimashs concerts. When Dimash sings a song that are specific to what he likes and how it makes him feel,in this way Dimash is able too share who he is as a young man through his gift of singing this is why Dimash cannot be boxed in some type of category for music because he has a respect for all types of music. This is why he is a prodigy. Dimash is deeply loved all around the world, I finally saw him December 10th,he sang in New Yorks Barclay center .I can't find words for what every person was feeling because the vibrations of the feeling of the place, moments, the time, the amount of people, people from age twelve, to teenagers, the young adults, middle aged, and seniors. This is extremely important as it is difficult for any singer to accomplish because of singers who fit in a box, meaning ,the opera, pop, Classical music, folk music, Egyptian middle eastern Baltic music, R&B, funky dance pop music, like the Singer Michael Jackson who was an idol for Dimash growing up. Dimash still loves Michael Jackson, he wrote a song that would be a song that Michael himself would have wrote and sang. Dimash can dance like Michael Jackson, and if that's not enough Dimash can also Rap and it is smooth as if that's all he does as an artist. Too see and too experience Dimash live is and will be the best experience I ever had,the love in one huge building with a crowd of one hundred thousand people who have respect for the people who are sitting next to them When Dimash performs, he has a gift that he doesn't need dancers all the other added details put into Dimashs concerts,Dimash would still sell out not just because he can sing or how he sings, or his techniques, or because of the songs, it is all of the Man himself and the complete package that is all of what is a part of him as a man just so happens to be expressed through songs. If you haven't yet had the experience that you will hear a song but you can't understand the words yet you know exactly what the song means and what it is about through Dimashs personality and who he is and feels as a man.Dimash will have some song that will affect you in this way also,it will reach the core of your very soul, and he will bring you too tears because you have entered a space you haven't visited within yourself for a long time,or a place of rawness from an experience you're going through, or have already been through. It is also that you happen to be young enough that you experience the raw tenderness of your soul that you are just now feeling that you have and never felt before,no matter where one is in life,Dimash will reach right into your soul.I know this is Dimashs purpose in life,he was born with this Gift,so young yet so wise like an old soul.Dimash also has a commanding presence many many young men have found Dimash and they are emulating him imagine what a responsibility this is most artist don't have a clue that they really need to watch what they do and say because of others that look up too that artist, Dimash knows instinctively because he is very spiritual and loves God and Believes in the laws that God has put down for us .In a concert with Dimash, one hundred thousand people in one huge building, when Dimash sings, you can hear a pin drop because of his commanding presence of vulnerability, love, and respect for his fans.Dimash also will make the time towards the last 45 min to hour in his concert going into his fans and being with them and among them singing, and Dimash has body guards, yet there isn't a time that I have heard of or seen where people pulled on Dimash or overwhelmed him by not granting him space on the contrary they do shake his hand, give him space. Dimash can also get everyone to begin singing his songs as soon as he asks them if they will sing together. It is incredible and this word cannot do the justice of the man himself or the electricity of the experience. I am sure that you understand what I am talking about because I have watched the way you examine him and I know that you also can feel that it's more than that it's Him,it's Dimash.I don't know if you knew this but Dimash plays the piano, electric guitar, drums, the two string lute and a few more, and he speaks five languages fluently and he sings in approximatly twelve. I hope and pray that you and your family are safe. God bless you,and I am happy seeing your expressions. Maybe one afternoon, if you have some time look at the reactions you see watching others react. 🎚🕊 Sister Lori-Ann.
Sensational analysis. Very perceptive &informative. Thank you for treating us to another Dimash reaction 😄...your comment "it's late I can't fry" was hilarious. Please analyse more Dimash performances. He has some more recent masterpieces 👍
I believe this was the night that Igor Krutoy was taken with Dimash's skills...Igor stood in the audience at the end. Some of the instrumentalists on stage were members of the band that wrote and performed the song.
@@MikeGoodrich Hi from Argentina 👋🇦🇷!! I'm enjoy so much your reactions to the prince "Dimash"👑❤ He's Out this planet! Thanks for your analissis. Plis next "love is like a dream "... ❤👑
Mike Goodrich It was the band that sang that song You can google it and it will show up and sounds completely different ., Dimash’s is so much better ❣️
Igor had already heard about him after his breakthrough in China, and they had even met in Italy where he invited Dimash to sing at the New Wave Socci venue, which is patronized by him
The pianist was the composer. The original song is very old,but Dimash,as we well know, has his own vision on everything he sings, his own signature, registered mark, otherwise he wouldn't be Dimash, right?
Hi Mike, we are a large community of Dimash's fans all over the world that are always looking for experts reactors to learn more about Dimash, specially those like me without musical education. I liked very much your reaction and analisys, and the fact you show enthusiastic listening to him. We love Dimash not only for his voice and incredible talent, but also because he is a wonderful human being, humble, kind and caring upon others. Please continue knowing him, he will surprise you each time. I recommed "Know" Sochi 2019 version. "Love is like a dream" at the Kremlin. The most recent are "Your love" and "Across endless dimensions" studio version, not alive yet because is the OTS of the film Creators, the past. Besides, you have an inmense repertoire to watch from 2017 when he participated in the chinese contest "The Singer": SOS, Adagio, Ópera 2, Hello, Show must go on, Confessa+Diva Dance, Daididau, Unforgettable Day, etc. This last, unforgettable Day (which is of his own) Gakku version he hits a crazy whistle tone. Sorry the extension of this post, best regards from México 🇲🇽
Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for watching! This is another wonderful performance by Dimash, and in it there are countless takeaways for all of us as singers! I left this video pretty long as all your wonderful comments on my last one said not to shorten them. Hello! :) I can't tell you how much I looove your video analyses! :) They are so amazingly detailed, thank you veeery much! :) Because you asked for the name of this ethnic vocalisation he does there: Dimash's father (who is a also member of his professional team) was once asked about it and he said it was a Yakutian riff. The Yakuts are the indigenous population (and nowadays ethnic minority)of/ in the North-Eastern Russian region Sakha (formally known as Yakutia). I had never heard about Yakutian ("ancient") ethnic music before and decided to look it up when I heard about it. It's reaaally amazing what they do and sth so unusual, they really do things with the voice I had never heard before. Listening to this kind of takes you to a different world. They are for example really good in imitating sounds of nature with their voice, and they also play mouth harp, it's really interestig. I also found examples of that riff shown by Dimash here, but he does it much faster than usual). Thank you so much, I really hope to see more Dimash reactions from you :) Best wishes from Estonia
@@belindamelissa8801 Yes, a friend of mine sometimes chats with Kanat (Dimash's father) and she asked him about it back then. And also according to her, he said it was a Yakutian riff :)
Every time I listen to this song I cant get my head around the fact that he was only 22 yo by the time performing it. I dont understand how such a young man could achive such maturity at singin & performin. How is that possible?? Thank u sooo much. Appreciate what ur doing alot.
Thank you very much for your very knowledgeable reaction to Dimash. He is an extraordinary performer & singer with a phenomenal voice which is unique & incomparable. His singing evokes so many emotions in me which I have never ever felt before with any other singer & I liked many singers. Amazing. ❤️🇨🇦
He always sings with his whole body. He literally sings his heart and soul out. Not only is he the best vocal gymnast, he at the same time is also a great story teller and a great stage performer.
I think in his future concerts there will be mostly vocal coaches there, being there all mesmerized or trying to fathom more closely how the hell is he doing this so perfectly. (The best student they never had) 😍🤩🥰
That special tribal riff was achieved by vibrating the larynx and is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other parts of Asia. This particular one was based on an Irkutsk folk style. Further youtubers have commented that it is used some parts of the Middle East. It is also referred to as a "glottal stop" and used in English when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh youtuber commented: Dimash used singing kazakh technique, that called 'komeymen aytu', You can hear it from the Turan Group. Saha people ( Rus) uses this technique too, they called it 'kylyhah'.
@@JasminGardenia That's right, this is a Central Asian riff. The comment states that in Sakha (Yakutia) a similar riff called 'kylyhah' is also practiced.
That seems to be a rumor though spread by someone who has nothing to do with Dimash in a comment section on YT who just assumed that it's probably Kazakh. Dimash's father said on several different occasions (e.g. in a personal chat with an admin of the European fan club in Sochi directly after the performance, in a PM chat on FB to someone from the US fan club and also publicly on his Instagram when he was asked about it) that this was a technique from Yakutian folk music
As an Arab I can surely say that's not middle Eastern and people who say that are wrong.. I think he used to same technic singing know .. BUT the runs and riffs he did in Hello are definitely arabian
DIMASH is a gift from God 🙏 there no words to describe Dimash ❤️ 24 hours a day listening to Dimash is a problem 🤪if I continue like this I will have to see a psychologist 😂 love your reaction 🙏 thank you ❤️🇵🇹
marycraft Miguel than you should be careful. It’s too late for me then because I had already been put on a mental clinic for about 6 months. Just being out. I am here again and probably gonna need to go back to the clinic very soon😳😳😳😳😳😳 be safe dear
Thank you, Mike for another very detailed analysis and reaction. When you think you know what this guy is capable of doing with his voice - boom! and he blows your head away and leaves you with the jaw wide open... There's a great amount of beautiful songs that he sings. Please, listen to his "Love is Like a Dream" song, and the recent songs - "Across Endless Dimensions" and "Your Love" written by the splendid Russian pianist and the composer Igor Krutoy specifically for Dimash and who often accompanies Dimash at his performances. Take care and stay safe!
Here's a story for you ☺️. When we visited Dimash's high school in Aktobe last summer, his teacher Mr. Marat Aitimov told us that he actually also thought Di's mother when she was studying to become an opera singer. That was during the time she was pregnant with Dimash. Since she is a soprano,so that's what he was hearing from her belly for hours on end every day. It's no surprise to me that he's so comfortable singing soprano notes 😃. It's actually quite humbling imo, that the same teacher tought the mother and then the child. He has known Dimash since before he was born, literally. The the progression from unborn to newborn, to what we witness today is just mind blowing for me 🤷. He must be beyond proud with him. 💙💙💙
Thank you sooo much for the great, great reaction video!! Your knowledge and explanation of this Dimash video is like a "long" drink of cool water for a thirsty man!! Most of these reactors on You Tube just want to hear themselves talk ... you on the other hand have the ability to speak & pass knowledge to us viewers like only a few reactors on You Tube can!! Thank you sooo very much. Kudos to you ... BRAVO!!!
With love from Russia! (Saint-Petersburg). Mike, thank you very much for your interesting analysis and sincere reaction! Real art unites us all! Health to you and your loved ones!
I really enjoy your reactions to Dimash, I have been his fan for 3 years and I am very proud that singing professionals like you analyze his voice and marvel at the wonderful singer that Dimash is. The pianist and guitarists belong to the Russian band A'Studio, who composed and released "Sinful Passion" in 1998. New arrangements were made especially for Dimash's voice and were featured as guests at the opening of the International Contest of Young Pop Singers, in New Wave Hall, at Sochi in 2018. The man who gets up to applaud him at the end is the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who since he discovered Dimash has taken him under his cover and made a wonderful dumbbell, Igor Krutoy returned to compose especially for Dimash, for example "Ogni Pietra" and recently "Your Love", in addition Dimash has performed past great hits by Krutoy and amazed the original singers themselves with his voice and way of performing.
Love your reaction and analysis! Did you catch that last run going up and then down was in one breath? That special tribal run was achieved by vibrating the larynx and is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other parts of Asia. Further youtubers have commented that it is used some parts of the Middle East and is similar to yodeling. It is also referred to as a "glottal stop" and used in English when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh youtuber commented: Dimash used singing kazakh technique, that called 'komeymen aytu'. The band that was playing is the original band that created the song, and the lead singer died a while back and Dimash did that "tribal" run as a tribute to him. Dimash has written 5-6 songs since he was 17... so He lives, and breathes for Music. And he is extremely humble, and spiritual, and loves his family and his Country and Culture! watch some of the interviews he's given that have English subs and you can see what a well rounded personality he has and understand why we all love him sooo much - not just for his singing ! Learn to use the subtitles on YT videos as you will be exposed to Kazakh and Russian, and Chinese and other languages. Even though we all know that he transmits through his voice and we all get it even without the lyrics...as a reactor, please learn to find the lyrics so you have that added dimension to complete the pictures that he paints with his voice! And all the Dears (what he calls his fans...) will flock to your channel if we feel your sincerity ( which we can already feel), you will get comments in as many languages as there are Dears in the different countries, and they will all want subs in their languages... I like Yandex for translations...Goodluck, and looking forward to new reactions to Dimash!!! Please react to his Latest Songs... "Across Endless Dimensions" - ruclips.net/video/URzRV4b7GlA/видео.html - this is the Lyric video of the OST for the Italian Sci-fi movie Creator : the Past - written specifically for Dimash's voice...The movie was supposed to be released in March this year, but the Virus got in the way... And please do "We Are One"- ruclips.net/video/uFOqN6saP60/видео.html - Produced as Thanks to all the medics and front line health workers and those suffering from the Virus...
Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed message!! I'll look into translations. I do have a youtuber that will be translating my Dimash videos into Kazakhstan...I'll look into the others and thank you for your great recommendations! And, I was so impressed by that run that I didn't even notice it was one breath!! I totally missed that so thanks!!
@@MikeGoodrich Dimash also has extra long vocal cords that do give him an advantage... but it's his hard work and practice that allows him to do what he does...
That's only a rumor that was posted once by a random person o YT and then got copied and pasted on a fan page. According to Dimash's father it's his rendition of a technique from Yakutian folk music (a region in Sibiria) :) :)
Mike yet another brilliant analysis of the best singer/performer on the planet. I would love you to react to the song "Know" it's an amazing song totally different from this one. But just as difficult to sing. Take it from me, you'll love it. Keep safe. 😊🏴👍
@@MikeGoodrich Yeah Know or Ascolta la Voce (same song different name) either from New Wave 2019 show or from Dimash's D - Dynasty 2019 (March 22nd, 2019) solo concert in Moscow. Note that D - Dynasty in Moscow comprised of two shows- March 22nd & 23rd but I deliberately chose the performance this song premiered. Both D - Dynasty and Nee Wave performances were gorgeous but different.....Dimash personalise every performances of same song.
Nice, great choice! It'll take you to another level of singing. And by the way, I really like your reaction; you don't react to impressed viewer, you just... react and analyze honestly. And with your much experience in the singing course, you give us a lot of learning material. Just great...!
@@daymay1066 It's not quite the same."Know"has lyrics whereas "Ascolta la voce is only vocalisation. He preferred this version at his latest concerts,NY,St petersburg,Ekaterinsburg,Riga,Kiev.Maybe because he has more freedom to improvise, they always sound different
Hello! :) Thank you so much for your great detailed analysis! :) very educational and you are really likeable :) It's really a pleasure to watch your videos :) Because you mentioned the languages :) He is bilingual, speaking Kazakh (his first language) and Russian (Russian is also the language he's singing in here). He also works on his English and Mandarin, he's not a pro yet (his fans call his English "Dinglish" haha), but his Mandarin pronunciation has become really great in the last few years :) And he has sung in 12 different languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin, Italian (which are his 5 main performance languages), French, German, Serbian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Turkish and Kyrgyz. He really is amazing, as a singer and as a person. A very wise, kind and humble young man
I have watched a lot of reaction videos on dimash but your reaction is by far the best..u explain every detail of the vocal which is so impressive...learnt a lot sir. Thanks a lot.
The boy's a viewer magnet! Great analysis once again! Isn't interesting that , when presented with a voice like this, songwriters that write like 1970's Michel Legrand start coming out of the woodwork to write for him. Maybe Mr. Krutoy and and Dimash can bring Melody back!! BTW, the style he is hinting at a bit is Ala Turka. In the Middle East the scale sets and ornaments are known as makam. In India they are gamak. There are So many variants in each style. It is a Deep hole for a western vocalist/musician to go down, but it is quite fascinating. In both instances it is the vocalist's attempt to mimic sounds made by traditional instruments. See below for a Really spot on and specific description, too. You learn something new every day! Believe me, I've only barely scratched the surface myself!😳
This is a very good analysis video.I can understand easily what your analyzing and explanation.Keep it up 👍👍 Also someone named Übervocal explained about the cultural style dimash did. This is what he said "That special tribal riff was achieved by vibrating the larynx and is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other parts of Asia but, not, to my knowledge the Middle East. A Kazakh youtuber commented: Dimash used singing kazakh technique, that called 'komeymen aytu', You can hear it from the Turan Group. Saha people ( Rus) uses this technique too, they called it 'kylyhah'." Your welcome
Hello! :) Dimashs knows many different cultural styles and techniques, of course, also from Kazkhstan :) Kazakh folk is one of the genres he sings in after all. But this one really seems to be from Yakutia. A friend of mine sometimes chats with Kanat (Dimash's father) and she asked him about it. And also according to her, he said it was a Yakutian riff :)
JasminGardenia, Yakutia (Russia) and Saha (Rus) are the different names of the same region in Russia. Genesis of Yakuts inheriting this region is similar with the genesis of Kazakhs, “ancient Turks” are their common ancestors. So, this style of singing can be met amongst all turks-speaking nations including Kazakhs.
His music is "High Culture" it break all lines and boxes. Even when you can't understand the lyrics the music still moves your soul. Thats what any art form strives to do.
Hi Mike, Great reaction to an epic singer and performer Dimash. For me Dimash is the world’s best unique singer in the world. When he sings he touches my soul with his voice full of emotions and draws me in the story telling👏👍I learned from the other Dears that in Kazachstan the last part he sang called Joktaw. Several countries have it’s own name to it. It’s from Asian and Arabic music influences. I think you can call it in Western terms Melismas (if I’am not wrong, because I’am not an expert). You can hear this in a lot of Turkic speaking countries too. Please react to more videos of Dimash. Thank you, a dear from Holland😃
19:07 that was hammer Vibrato , I know that because TVS Studio mentioned it in his book and Tristan(youtuber) made a hammer vibrato video(only demonstration) . But literally no one on YOutube had ever explained how to do it
Thanks for the amazingly detailed and precise breakdown of this! Picking "Ogni Pietra" as your first reaction definitely aligned with my favorite Dimash performance thus far. An alternate fan cam version on RUclips stays directly trained on his face throughout the entire song, and each time I watch it, I'm amazed at his technical prowess ... darn near perfection! The tribal/ethnic riff in this sends chills down my spine each time, as does the simplistic orchestration combined with Dimash's alternating power belting and tender cries. Just another example, I suppose, of his innate artistic expressiveness. By the way, I think your "do not try this at home" is now my new mantra as it relates to Dimash when trying out his vocal acrobatics at home. Haha. I'm sure every person within a five mile radius will thank you for that. Would love to see an analysis of "Hello", wherein he does a bit more of the ethnic riff and of course "SOS d'un terrien en detresse," literally the first performance I ever saw of Dimash's. Each performance has its own idiosyncrasies, but the more recently available live performance in Cannes amid a seated audience demonstrates Dimash's ability to captivate and darw in with his voice. Sorry for the long comment, but great analysis, and looking forward to those in the future! Your knowledge of the voice and ability to share it with us laypeople is greatly appreciated!
Great detailed analysis! You might enjoy reacting to Vocalise/Know (the most recent performance on Dimash's channel). It was also composed by Igor Krutoy, but it has a completely different feel to the ones you've seen. Dimash sings it without lyrics, mostly improvised, showcasing his vocal agility and some incredible scat singing.
Thank you, your analyses are so interesting ! I appreciate your reactions to Dimash so much. Sinful passion is a masterpiece for me, I always forget to breathe when I hear this song. He has a lot of very interesting songs , but SOS is a must and I love Passione so much.
I am so impressed with this explanation! I have seeing so many videos with descriptions of that singer and surly can tell - this is the best! I'm so far from music, I'm just enjoying it but here I start to feel myself like a professor of all types of music! Thank you so much for that!!!
I like to listen and watch when vocal experts analyze Dimash. It's like a dissection of an alien. 😁 It looks like as if Nasa found an alien and dissected his vocal cords. 😁😁😁
I read somewhere, a doctor talked about Dimash’s voice and said, laughing, that he would like to see from inside how are Dimash’s vocal cords 🤔.... We too 😂😂
an another great analysis from you mike, you learn me so much interesting things . We can see and hear your passion as a music teacher, for the music, for the technique and all these details which allow a better understanding of the voice. can't wait next video! thank you again from france.
I really enjoy your reactions/instruction. I am not a singer, but I appreciate music and the talent and work it takes to learn to sing. Thank you for a great video. I have subscribed.
Sir, I've watched so many vocal coaches react to Dimash and his insuperable performances. None of them has been at the level of your analyses. I've now seen two of your appreciative analyses of Dimash's performances. Your expertise and professionalism are phenomenal. I enjoy and marvel at every moment of them. I'm not somebody who could get a takeaway from Dimash's singing and your analyses; I'm not a singer, I'm just a regular guy and an ordinary listener, also one who is in tears almost each time after having listened to Dimash. And this has been going on for three years, ever since Dimash's "Le S.O.S. d'un terrien en détresse" in the Singer 2017 competition of Hunan Television, China.
Elizabeth of the charismatic voice is not bad in her reaction of Dimash, and then there was this guy named Areh, he reacted to this song too. Try and look him up.
Of the deeply analytical voice teachers that exist, you are actually fun to listen to, great enthusiam. I enjoy it, stay unique. I suggest reactions to SOS d'un terrien en détresse, the song that put him on the international map. Adagio as well, Singer 2017 version on both (excellent band and choir, really good lights). Possible copyright issues but I think you stop/rewind enough to avoid that easily. Plus the current season of The Singer should be wrapping up, and it's said they don't bother you in the offseason.
Nice reaction and analysis of the world of Dimash is like hear the music for first time and our experience about music is great! Continue more songs please! Thanks from Portugal P.s. I subscriber to our channel
I soooooo sooo love your reaction. Your expression is a show by itself. I watched hundreds of reactors both vocal coaches and just reactors but yours is one of the best. You dissected each tones, colors and timbers. You really knows your stuff very well. Salute and respect to you. I cant wait for you to react to love is like a dream and across endless dimensions. But the most emotional song dimash did were autumn strong and daybreak but you have to watch it through gloria wu channel because there is a beautiful story behind and you will appreciate his rendition more. The later dimash lose his voice and he was sick . There you could see how he sung in his worst. I promise you will boy regret it. Hello and all by myself in I ak singer edition is a cover with a twist. That was the only time he sung hello for lionel prohibit him from singing it publicly again. The song I only love you is so hauntingly beautiful meanwhile his original song screaming in his official channel is like staccato ang glisando is his breakfast. Continue to react to him. Love hearing from a professional with passion once for a change.
Thank you for your reaction and I can feel your emotion. I have no words to describe him. The only thing that I can say is that he touches all the fibers of my soul and my body. This boy is not from Earth. I recommend you to react to the song Know. You will be amazed too. And the new song Across Endless Dimensions! I learned a lot listening to you and reading the comments below! Love from Spain!
Your admiration for Dimash is evident as well as the pleasure you have in making such an accurate analysis. I love watching you. I am learning a lot. (The English is not so good because I am Brazilian 🇧🇷)
Seth’s “creaky door exercise” in his Singing For The Stars book/cd course helped me get up too G6. I do have a very light tenor voice though, so I’m not sure about other vocal types. But I’m sure it would help them hit much higher notes than they believed they could ever hit.
Thanks for continuing on this Dimash journey with us! Dimash is so versatile, so classy. Can't get enough, and your feedback is really genuine and helpful! From what you said about his pianissimo/dreamy head voice, I think you would appreciate his performance of the French rock-opera song S.O.S. at the Slavic Bazaar: ruclips.net/video/W29zEuZVaxs/видео.html P.S. that was a 23 second run he did, one of his longest ever notes! There's a compilation video with a bunch of his longest notes, mostly from much earlier in his career on international tv shows etc. And the guy in the white shirt that stands up at the end is Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who wrote Ogni Pietra (and other songs) specifically for Dimash!
Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.
When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤
Great measured critique from an obvious expert..
Thank you, Tony! I really appreciate your watching and your comment!
Agreed. I'd never heard of the fried onset tone followed immediately by the Octave higher. Thanks!
I agree with you.
I've never thought that I will watch 27 min. video without disruption of anything in one breath. I've learned a lot from that video. thank you.
Nothing better than an obvious professional allowing himself to be supremely impressed by a singer even when he knows exactly what's happening.
It is so pleasure to see your response to Dimash art and see your amused facial expressions, so fun.
No one describes and explains this likes you do! Enjoy watching... from Thailand.
Thank you so much for your kind words! And for watching!
Mike, I love how passionate You are about music, and how much fun You have with Dimash!
The guy in the audience wearing the white shirt and giving him a standing ovation wrote him Ogni Pietra after that 😆
yes, that’s igor.
🎶 23:58 🎼👏
@Inigo Maio yes, he is!!
You can also see *Master Igor Krutoy giving Dimash a standing ovation in Dimash SOS performance. And Master Igor Krutoy did get some help, the lyric from Ogni pietra are from Lilia Vinogradova.
@Inigo Maio He is.
I am not a singer but ever since I discovered Dimash, I have learned so much about the world of singing and its techniques. You are very professional, educational and interesting to listen to. Even to a non singer like me. Welcome to the world of Dimash. I hope you will teach us about a lot more of his performances and songs :)
Me too haha i barely knew what an octave was hahaha
Hej Mira.
The same here 🙋🏻♀️ after to watch coaches and singing professionals reacting to Dimash I learned very interesting concepts of the singing world.
I agree with all you said. Same with me too!👍👍
Your english is great! And thank you so much for the info and the kind words!!
@@Roman-yt8up Thank you for clarifying it to me
Mike Goodrich
watched without translation. Perhaps the most professional "debriefing" on RUclips, with a parallel demonstration on the keys.
Well done!
excatly
Exactly. Everybody says i have no words, but he ☝️has
agree
Thank you for reaction!
This song is very nice !
DIMASH SUPER and he is the BEST SINGER! AMAZING!
Greetings from Russia
It is called bleeding, and it is usually in folk music and middle eastern,
Baltic music. Dimash likes to incorporate all sounds into his music. Dimash is a prodigy and this is a gift from God that he has only
worked it too it's perfection.Dimash
practices singing three hours a day.
He has his masters degree in composing and lyrical writing, he is
going to finish with his doctorate.
Dimash is very humbled, kind ,he is
so generous and what is most important ,Dimash is loving,he loves
all people of all ages ,race, there is no difference between you or a man or woman in a hospital or some
homeless shelter, the rich guy living
on his own Island. For a young man
like Dimash he truly sees himself as
an equal to all other human beings.
He is old fashioned is how young people might call it, he believes that
children are the future and he loves children deeply, in the exact
way he feels about his elders, his
parents,grandparents they as one
unit travel as a family as much as they can for Dimashs concerts. When
Dimash sings a song that are specific
to what he likes and how it makes him feel,in this way Dimash is able too share who he is as a young man
through his gift of singing this is why
Dimash cannot be boxed in some type of category for music because
he has a respect for all types of music. This is why he is a prodigy.
Dimash is deeply loved all around the world, I finally saw him December 10th,he sang in New Yorks
Barclay center .I can't find words
for what every person was feeling
because the vibrations of the feeling
of the place,moments,the time,the
amount of people, people from age
twelve, to teenagers, the young adults, middle aged, and seniors.
This is extremely important as it is
difficult for any singer to accomplish because of singers who
fit in a box,meaning ,the opera,pop,
Classical music, folk music, Egyptian
middle eastern Baltic music, R&B,
funky dance pop music, like the
Singer Michael Jackson who was an
idol for Dimash growing up.
Dimash still loves Michael Jackson,
he wrote a song that would be a song
that Michael himself would have wrote and sang. Dimash can dance
like Michael Jackson, and if that's
not enough Dimash can also Rap and it is smooth as if that's all he does as an artist. Too see and too
experience Dimash live is and will be
the best experience I ever had,the
love in one huge building with a crowd of one hundred thousand people who have respect for the people who are sitting next to them
When Dimash performs, he has a gift that he doesn't need dancers
all the other added details put into
Dimashs concerts,Dimash would still
sell out not just because he can sing
or how he sings, or his techniques, or
because of the songs, it is all of the
Man himself and the complete package that is all of what is a part
of him as a man just so happens to be expressed through songs.
If you haven't yet had the experience that you will hear a song
but you can't understand the words
yet you know exactly what the song means and what it is about through
Dimashs personality and who he is
and feels as a man.Dimash will
have some song that will affect you
in this way also,it will reach the core
of your very soul, and he will bring you too tears because you have entered a space you haven't visited within yourself for a long time,or
a place of rawness from an experience you're going through, or
have already been through. It is
also that you happen to be young
enough that you experience the raw
tenderness of your soul that you are just now feeling that you have
and never felt before,no matter where one is in life,Dimash will reach right into your soul.I know
this is Dimashs purpose in life,he was born with this Gift,so young
yet so wise like an old soul.Dimash
also has a commanding presence
many many young men have found
Dimash and they are emulating him
imagine what a responsibility this is
most artist don't have a clue that
they really need to watch what they do and say because of others that
look up too that artist, Dimash knows instinctively because he is
very spiritual and loves God and
Believes in the laws that God has
put down for us .In a concert with
Dimash, one hundred thousand people in one huge building, when
Dimash sings, you can hear a pin drop because of his commanding
presence of vulnerability,love, and
respect for his fans.Dimash also
will make the time towards the last
45 min to hour in his concert going into his fans and being with them and among them singing, and Dimash has body guards, yet there isn't a time that I have heard of or seen where people pulled on Dimash or overwhelmed him by not granting
him space on the contrary they do
shake his hand, give him space.
Dimash can also get everyone to
begin singing his songs as soon as he asks them if they will sing together.
It is incredible and this word cannot do the justice of the man himself or the electricity of the experience.
I am sure that you understand what I am talking about because I
have watched the way you examine him and I know that you also can
feel that it's more than that it's
Him,it's Dimash.I don't know if you
knew this but Dimash plays the piano, electric guitar, drums, the two
string lute and a few more, and he
speaks five languages fluently and he sings in approximatly twelve.
I hope and pray that you and your family are safe. God bless you,and I am happy seeing your expressions.
Maybe one afternoon, if you have some time look at the reactions you
see watching others react.
🎚🕊 Sister Lori-Ann.
*bleating my dear ❤ like the sound a sheep makes
Sensational analysis. Very perceptive &informative. Thank you for treating us to another Dimash reaction 😄...your comment "it's late I can't fry" was hilarious. Please analyse more Dimash performances. He has some more recent masterpieces 👍
I might use "It's late, I can't fry" the next time I'm allowed to go to a karaoke bar and bollix something up. ;-)
I believe this was the night that Igor Krutoy was taken with Dimash's skills...Igor stood in the audience at the end. Some of the instrumentalists on stage were members of the band that wrote and performed the song.
Thank you for that!
Thank you, sir, for another reaction.. We DEARS ( fans of Dimash) appreciate what you are doing.
Dimash is my ideal artist, not only best singing ability but humanity, that earn my respect and a dear forever.
do you know, I smiled with joy for the full length of this video - 27:49 minutes, thank you so much for reacting to my favorite song

Some other great artists include young prodigy and an extremely rare type of voice Diana ankudinova wicked game
He was 24 when he was performing sinful passion
It is amazing to be that mature and talented at that young age! Thank you so much for watching and your comment!
@@Shrekreality tnx for correctin. Doesnt change the fact anyway right?
@@MikeGoodrich you are very welcome sir
Kazakh people has rich but mostly tragical history in the past and so they are have to be extremely hardworking to compete for success
Absolutely, thank you!!
Dimash style will never ever be Reached by another human soul. What a gift this analysis is for amateurs or professional singers.
According to Dimash's father it's a Yakutian riff
Thanks for more info
As an Arab I can surely say that's not middle Eastern and people who say that are wrong.. I think he used to same technic singing know .. BUT the runs and riffs he did in Hello are definitely arabian
My time wasn't wasted spending 27minutes on this informative reaction . Amazing analysis

Great recommendations! Thanks so much!!
Tik daudz skaistuma vienā dziesmā, ka pasaule nespēj noticēt TĀDAM krāšņumam! Paldies par analīzi! Dimash ir pasaules brīnums!
Dimash is unique ❤ great reaction. Thank you very much 🤗
Love your reaction and analysis!

Mike Good rich: Jaw dropped
Dimash fans: Now that's I came for.
Hello from China and thank you so much for the video!!!! I am not a singer but I do learn a lot from your explanation to the song)
I miei complimenti grazie per le informazioni complete!!! È bello ascoltare davvero uno specialista!!! Saluti dalla Siberia Città Nefteyugansk)))
Mike yet another brilliant analysis of the best singer/performer on the planet. I would love you to react to the song "Know" it's an amazing song totally different from this one. But just as difficult to sing. Take it from me, you'll love it. Keep safe. 😊🏴👍
Thank you!!
@@MikeGoodrich Yeah Know or Ascolta la Voce
(same song different name) either from New Wave 2019 show or from Dimash's D - Dynasty 2019 (March 22nd, 2019) solo concert in Moscow.
"Know" (the Victoria music award version) would be great
@@daymay1066 It's not quite the same."Know"has lyrics whereas "Ascolta la voce is only vocalisation. He preferred this version at his latest concerts,NY,St petersburg,Ekaterinsburg,Riga,Kiev.Maybe because he has more freedom to improvise, they always sound different
Without question One of the best singers I've ever heard, his phrasing is amazing! It's like a 1000 angels coming out of him.

Thank you so much! Yes, it reminded me of the students I've taught from the Middle East! I really appreciate your comment!
This is a very good analysis video.I can understand easily what your analyzing and explanation.Keep it up 👍👍
Also someone named Übervocal explained about the cultural style dimash did. Saha people ( Rus) uses this technique too, they called it 'kylyhah'."
Your welcome
Hmm according to Dimash's father it's a style from Yakutia (Russia)
Thank you so much!!
@@lisakogelnik6525 Great information, thank you so much!!
There are just a few days left for the online concert that Dimash offers for everyone !!! Remember January 16, 2021 !!!
His music is "High Culture" it break all lines and boxes. Even when you can't understand the lyrics the music still moves your soul. Thats what any art form strives to do.
Hi Mike,
Great reaction to an epic singer and performer Dimash.
Dimash sings it without lyrics, mostly improvised, showcasing his vocal agility and some incredible scat singing.

don't forget to watch Dimash's online concert on January 2021!!! it's only $15!!!!
dimash is a legend..and you are legendary and unique with your own analysis..keep it up
This guy makes me cry when I hear his beautiful unique voice. God has blessed him ten fold. He puts his heart and soul in every word.
LOL your comment is original 😂😂😂
His voice is "out of this world!" Thank you!
I read somewhere, a doctor talked about Dimash’s voice and said, laughing, that he would like to see from inside how are Dimash’s vocal cords 🤔.... We too 😂😂
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. I learned a lot listening to your reactions to Dimash. (Whilst shedding a few tears.)
an another great analysis from you mike, you learn me so much interesting things .
Димашь как находка для таких тренеров! Они как дети!)) радуются и восхищаются чем то новым!)
Reaction dimash screaming, your reaction is so Good. Thanks so much. Hugs from Brazil.
I think it is fair to say he is a genius in the truest sense of the word.
Yes!
Nice reaction and analysis of the world of Dimash is like hear the music for first time and our experience about music is great! Continue more songs please! Thanks from Portugal
P.s. I subscriber to our channel
Thank you so much!!
Simple out of this world!!! No one can sing like Dimash!!!! Pls react more ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He did that last crazy piece in one 23 second breath, he has 10 lungs 😁
Отличный разбор! Как говорится - мало что понимаю, но очень интересно!)) одна из любимых мной песен
A review does not get better, thank you Mike..
Thank you!!

Потрясающий разбор песни от профессионала. Спасибо!
Yes!! I feel so happy when I listen Dimash!! He is like a.. cocktail of sounds and lights, colors!!!
Thanks for continuing on this Dimash journey with us! Dimash is so versatile, so classy. Can't get enough, and your feedback is really genuine and helpful! From what you said about his pianissimo/dreamy head voice, I think you would appreciate his performance of the French rock-opera song S.O.S. at the Slavic Bazaar: ruclips.net/video/W29zEuZVaxs/видео.html
P.S. that was a 23 second run he did, one of his longest ever notes! There's a compilation video with a bunch of his longest notes, mostly from much earlier in his career on international tv shows etc. And the guy in the white shirt that stands up at the end is Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who wrote Ogni Pietra (and other songs) specifically for Dimash!
Thank you for such thoughtful information! I really appreciate it!!
Молодец, на атомы вокал Димаша разобрал, заодно и песню А-Студио разучил, Рахмет!!!!!!🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿 Подписка!!!!!!
Wow... THANKYOU for the background information!!!
Oh, wow... Thank you for letting us know. That's...wow.
So many cultural interesting teachings on comments about this song. Such an hommage to his birth Land.
Um br

With every compliment from the reactor, I am nodding my head going "yeahhh, that's my boy" like a proud mother
