If it was just a parody I wouldn’t wanna watch it like the fact that cid is in his own world while there is an actual proper plot in the back ground with real stakes for the people around him makes it interesting.
@Elden Ringer well to be fair at the end of this arc if the anime friendly enough it will show shadow garden bring her to the headquarter for training lol (i think it was in the game)
Though the story shows us female lead far better than many other trash isekai story. And then their arc just end and be forgotten (sherry, aurora, and after this not much about Alexia)
Y'know, even if cid is a psycho and obssesed with his performance, the fact that he is willing to give power to those who seek to change their fate(I know he just cured her but still) gives me the feeling that he might be more of a hero than he lets on and that he understands the weight of power accordingly. Even if he refuses to apply it to his moral code
well, you are wrong, his mana has other properties, this literally make them stronger(there is limit to that, i don't remember, but it was something like it increased quality and/or quantity of mana flow, better control over mana etc.). It is like taking of chains of someone potential.

@@adams00134 What happens to my understanding is the 'possession' occurs when Diablos cells in the victim from their bloodline begin to 'awaken' the magic output from these cells is simply too much for the body to handle and so they break down and deform. He isn't really 'empowering' so much as restructuring to enable attainment of their maximum potential.
He is not exactly giving her a power. Possession is the effect of the blood of Diablos/Aurora, passed down through the hero's blood. Royal families tend to have a stronger version. It gives her a lot of magic power, so much that her body cannot handle it and starts to mutate. Its like her body is overclocked badly. So Shadow is performing a complex corrective magical surgery. Once its done, her body is back to normal and her mana reserves are vastly expanded. Since she already was a high profile spellsword, it means she can use it well, so the difference in power is instantly noticeable.
I mean compare to the other numbers and regular shadow garden member that had been cure by Alpha and Epsilon, the 7 shade and Victoria who is directly cure by Cid is considerably stronger than the rest.
