Yes and no, depending on what your planning on using it. For example, video editing is a hit and miss, programs like final cut and davinci doesn’t work properly due to memory ram being 8GB and with time you start to get a bit of more then usual lag due to the processor getting hotter. For gaming is amazing , but not for long period of time , again due to heat the processor will slow down, not to much, and not on all games, but still. The speakers and microphone can’t even compare. But your right, for normal use, casual gaming, editing pics in photoshop and videos in imovie or filmora, yes it is a better deal.
