  • Experience after hair transplant procedures totalling 5. Dr Tejinder Bhatti of Darling Buds Clinic interviews J International who has undergone several hair transplant procedures and is rich with knowledge about the procedure from the patient's perspective. He explains to us the lessons larnt from his hair transplant journey and gives some valuable tips for people researching a hair transplant procedure pertaining to- hair transplant procedures, hair transplant in young men, traveling abroad for a hair transplant. cost of hair transplant, Finasteride and other medications, etc.
Though doctors have extensive knowledge about their chosen field borne out of institutionalized regulated structured learning programs with repeated strict assessment of their performance followed by hand-on learning and wisdom and decision taking ability they acquires due to experience & wisdom they acquire along the way, patients researching a hair transplant still would rather listen to the advice of hair loss sufferers like themselves who have been through the process of hair loss treatment or surgical hair restoration like themselves. This is the same reason as the reason we are enticed by Biographies or the life experiences of others. A person who has undergone the same trials and tribulations as you yourself, adds a 3rd dimension that is emotionally laden and a deep connect since it mirrors your daily struggle with hair loss, exasperating moments and anxiety- a deep need that doctors mostly fail to fulfill.
These social media influencers or mentors if you like, raise hopes, with their enticing story of their dalliances with hair loss treatment that has taught them to keep a positive mindset amidst challenging circumstances, making the most of the situation.
So if a past hair loss sufferer like J International who has been through the grind of several hair transplants seems truthful and shorn of conflict of interest, people will be all ears to him.
The following questions were answered in this video-
    1. You have had a large number of transplants starting from an early age. What were the correct decisions and how would you advise patients seeking a hair transplant today to go about researching the center for their hair transplant.
    2. Most people travel abroad for a cheap and effective hair transplant. What advise would you give them since their consultations have been online and that human interface of an in person meeting is lacking.
    3. Can you shed light on how a young man feels when he starts to lose hair and what you would advise him.
    4. What are the red flag signs you would warn people against ?
    5. How has your experience been with medicines esp. oral DHT blockers?
    6. What is your experience about body hair?
    7. How do you think FUE has evolved over the years?
    8. J International asks-Walk me through Door to Door/ Day to Day experience at your clinic and in India
    9. What is the Scientific basis to increasing body hair with age?

This was an excellent tutorial and is a must-see video for any young person who is suffering emotionally from hairloss and is susceptible to making a poor, spur-of-the-moment decision to have a transplant. For anyone who is on other forums or social media platforms related to hairloss and they see someone looking to make an irresponsible decision to alleviate their suffering, please refer them to this video. Great job J-International and Dr. Bhatti.

another excellent video by the Master of hair restoration Dr. Bhatti
one aspect that I shall like to share my experience though and is at variations with Dr. bhatti is that unlike as you said in regards to dht and body hair , wherein you mentioned that DHT does not effect the body hair much and as we age and the dht lowers in our body ....And that leads to more robust body hair .
in my experience when i was on finasteride naturally my dht got lowered due to the drug and infact i lost all my body hair .... now if i play this as per your context ... the lowered dht should have made my body hair more robust ? but exactly the opposite happened .... and that contradicts your statement .... OR have i missed someting ?
Sir ji please explain as this might benefit many in my opinion .

I have heard some anecdotal reports of people's body hair thinning while on drugs like Finasteride. since I have mostly body hair on my head now this one of my concerns and why I may stick with just oral minoxidil. Another thing I've realized is there are many hair loss patterns and many different physiologies so you can't know how you'll react to a drug until you try.

Hello Dr. Bhatti. Recently I got my hair transplant done and I am just 26 and suffering from grade 6 baldness. Dr. Presribed 1mg per day finasteride and biotin and other drugs post 10 days of the surgery. They said it’s must to continue finasteride for minimum 1 year and I Don't have any other option if i want a good result. I started it for few days and I am just feeling some pressure on my testicle. I think this is all i am feeling for now. As you're an expert in this field please say something for people like me. Thank you so much sir for the value you're adding to our hair life.

    • @J_International

      @
maldives-joshua joseph in my opinion and having had beard to scalp transplantation it is best to use beard here in the mid scalp vertex area if it is not blended with other, softer hair types. You could likely use some in the crown but I think it's best mixed in with other hair types if possible in that region. The issue is the hair still looks beard like. That may look weird along the hairline or crown. Many people have hair styles where the hair stands up on the top of the head so you can create the illusion of your original hair even though it's actually beard hair.
On the other hand if you will always keep your hair buzzed than it would still resemble original head donor hair no matter where it is.

Hey. Did J international have a hair transplant recently? He looks in the 1st month recovery phase .

    • @J_International
      @J_International 3 года назад +1

@Aladdin Guy. Yes, as Dr. Bhatti and I discuss I had 4 hair transplants FUT & FUE dating from mid 90s to early 2000s using old techniques with mixed results. Skip ahead 15 years. Starting 5 months ago I had a NEW series of FUE transplants in Bangkok. These were done incrementally spaced apart over time starting 5 months ago initially in my crown region gradually moving forward to the hairline 2 months ago along my hairline which is what you detected in this video. That work is ongoing. I will have more work done by the same Dr. in March 2021. I am in the process of making a video series about these new, recent hair transplants. Almost all the hair you see on my head now is recent growth from these new hair transplants. So 1-4 were old hair transplants that largely shed over time as my hair loss progressed. Hair transplant #5 which is a series of recent FUE transplants are what you see just starting to grow now. So far the yield from these recent hair transplants has been excellent, but it is too soon to judge the final result.
