I don't understand the need for magical curses in Demon Slayer anime. They've established that Blood Demon Arts and Breathing Styles are developed through training and skill. Even Demon King Muzan comes from a science experiment gone wrong. It would've been more impressive if Ubuyashiki's manged to run the Demon Slayer Corps with his naturally sick body and not be afflicted with some magical curse. Bringing in the supernatural seems a bit of a let down 😔.

I think you misunderstood that.. what they were saying was about the sword technique, what we see, the flashy elements coming out of the swords are what was said was not real, in kny pov, there is no effects like that.. in our pov who watches it have those effects. Like for ex. The show would be similar as when you watch rurouni kenshin, all sword fights have no special effects, just weapon clashing..

Tanjiro literally talks with the two ghost in the chaper 3 of the series, i dont think it would be strange for a "curse" to exist (can be explained has a congenital desease because of muzan).
