Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of the on-screen transformations were the exact same as the toys.
The toys were pretty damn awesome. The Optimus toy is probably the best Transformers toy I ever owned as a kid.

And David Kaye the voice of megatron in this series plays megatron in beast wars and optimus in Animated.

Yes, but Optimus shouldn't have his mask on during normal robot mode in that photo. That mask is reserved for super mode only.

I did watch Cybertron a bit but what really introduced me to Transformers was the movie series with the first movie in 2007

Cybertron Megatron remains me all time favorite. His sheer arrogance, combined with the fact the he could back it up, made him my favorite. This dude was no poser.

Transformers Armada was my introduction to this series. Cybertron and Armada still hold a special place in my heart. And this theme song this kicks the ass. I used to reach my classes 15 mins late because I could not afford to miss any episode of the Cybertron.

I remember watching Cybertron every afternoon after coming home from school. Highlight of my day, the Kids WB pulls the show for the stupidest reason ever... Still bitter over that.
Same feeling man. Worse off, they restarted at the beginning before finally pulling it.
And then Kids' WB! was pulled down in itself, along with the rest of the WB channel.

This is perfect theme for the transformers franchise
Say what you will about the unicron trilogy, you can’t deny it introduced a good number of people to the series (including a very young me) and holds a special place in their heart despite its varying quality (and tbh Cybertron and Armada really aren’t that bad, Energon is VERY rough around the edges but def has its moments)
My biggest problem is its clearly not a trilogy, and the localisation team tried to bodge Cybertron onto the other two clumsily when it it's meant to be a standalone.

Cybertron was my childhood (as it was to most other people) and this theme has stood out even since then. It's definitely my favorite out of the Unicron trilogy

This was my favorite of the three primes. Armada and energon prime was too small to me but cybertron did a leader class and that was how I imagined Prime should be.
Out of the Unicron trilogy? Absolutely
Of all time? Eh, I'd personally still say G1 is the most iconic, with the IDW comics variant being probably the coolest version of the G1 design.
Armada and Robots in Disguise(aka: Car Robots) Optimus Prime were pretty good too. Plus Car Robots is(as far as I know) the only Transformers series to introduce Omega Prime.
Not to mention best Transformers toy

Yes Micheal Bay should replace Ironhide with Energon Ironhide. I'm saying this because, although I'm talking about Energon, but because it is part of the Unicron trilogy, along with Cybertron.

This was actually my first Transformers Cartoon. It holds a special spot in my childhood for that. Sure, the G1 stuff is really awesome, and Armada is also awesome, but this one is special to me.

1.25x speed for Energon PTSD flashbacks, 0.75x speed for slow intensity, 0.5x for grainy-sounding awesome.

I recently picked up Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime and this theme instantly started playing in my head.
This is the only show when Primus ever got to have a spotlight. Now I really want a showdown between Primus and Unicron. Two gods battling it out for the fate of the universe.
