- I made the 6th Angel Ramiel from the Rebuild version of Evangelion into a boss fight!

For those who are wondering why Ramiel is so small or why she does so little terrain damage, it's all due to performance issues. Java edition Minecraft is very bad at handling large amounts of entities, and the bigger Ramiel gets, the more entities I would need to use to display the models and animations. Similarly for the environmental damage, as you know, TNT explosions are notorious for lagging out Minecraft. So the more destruction is caused, the laggier it gets. Hope that was a decent explanation!

Okay, I say this without any exaggeration. This is the coolest shit I've ever seen in Minecraft. I've had Minecraft since beta 1.7, 2011. Over ten years. I've seen lots of mods, lots of command block projects, lots of datapacks, and this is THE coolest shit I've ever, ever seen in Minecraft. WTF!
Nice but I do have to say the amount of environmental damage done is absolutely (nonexistant) too little. That whole sky island you were on should have been vaporized on the first attack.
It's tough to see but there are actually massive tunnels everywhere (they're just thin) as well as the fact that a lot of the attacks hit the air or were shielded
Would have been too laggy.
I think a tnt explosion every time it sends a laser would be the best, I think the boss can be perfected a lot more

My only complaints are:
Sheilds aren't instantly destroyed upon hit:
Deals nowhere near enough damage, the Warden packs a stronger punch than that.
Nowhere near enough environmental damage.
The animations though are on point!
Also I think Ramial should only take damage when hitting the red core, and become completely invincible when the core isn't exposed
Thanks for the thoughts! For the damage and stuff I could of course make it one shot the shield and then the player, but from a gameplay perspective that's just not fun (also I'm wearing nearly full netherite all with blast prot IV and still took half my health from a glancing blow). The environmental damage could be upped but then it'd cause lots of lag. When I made the boss I was prioritizing fun over realism, so I made some unrealistic choices, which I think made the experience better overall. As for the damage phases she actually is only vulnerable when she attacks, it's just that she's always attacking lol. If you look closely at the video there is one point where I shoot and she blocks it with an AT field, but it's easy to miss. Appreciate the comment!

This mod plus the other biblically accurate angels memes will make The Aether mod much more terrifying tbh.
It needs its second phase like in the movie where after it dies it revive with 10x more damage
the angels coming as bossfight in minecraft?
The challange would be that you need to prepare for each angel individually.
You can make this a mod to play with friends. Take for example sachiel is going to appear in 20 minecraft days. By that time you have to build a defense and maybe even craft a special weapon. If you manage to defeat it you shall be granted new resources from the angel and then you need to prepare for next one. Idk just an idea

Phenomenal work dude! Can't believe there's a datapack for this, I rly loved the whole charging animation and the sound effect, it took me straight back to the feeling of fear and tension when I watched the rebuild fight lol, also are you planning to update it more? Like maybe adding an A.T. Field effect when the arrows are blocked?

Who knew that all it took to defeat Ramiel, the 5th (or 6th) angel, was a bow and a shield, instead of a fucking Cannon that takes up all of the power Japan has to offer

You need to scale this thing up. Ramiel is normally pretty big.
agreed, I originally wanted it much bigger but Minecraft's own limitations stopped me from making it any bigger than it is right now
@@FlubberschnubSchnyxteboutle Maybe try having the entity have it's size based on how the slime's size system works and have it always set to spawn in big. Maybe try that?

Only two things could make this better, but one requires two sub-things.
The first thing is adding more Angels
The second thing is the Lance of Longinus
Sub-thing 1 is altering the texture and model of the default trident to resemble the Lance of Longinus
Sub-thing 2 is making a strike to the core with a trident (and only with a trident) result in an insta-kill.

If anything at all should be reworked, it’s the amount of health Ramiel has.
It’s a Flying Fortress, it should be able to take well more then just a dozen arrows.

Can anyone run me through the attacks this thing has? Some are certainly tricky, and need multiple shields.

I wonder if this could become a event boss in some big servers but ramiel haveing is true power on point like what It should do your concept is a master piece just give it the immunity when core is not exposed and increase both blast Damege and radius to the size of a village house and give it more health so it will be a true fight and for balance add a longer transission btw the attacks also ok shield block yes but make it so In order to block it if possible make a enchantment for shield that can be used to block this boss's attack. For how much Damege do the Damege a charge creaper do that's is a lot on its own.
Almost forgot if the shield don't have the enchantment on then it should break instantly bc lets be real how can a wooden shield with a iron frame block a laser that eradicates all on its path.

What version or snapshot is this made for? I just tried downloading the datapack on 1.19.2 and the game told me the datapack was made for an older version.

Make his attack range for about 5k blocks each direction, then it's more lore accurate.
