    I'm not one to usually comment on videos, but I have to say, I love your reviews. They are both informative and entertaining. I wish I could get a bottle of that kind of energy. Speaking of which, shout out for that Takeya, Hydro Flasks are over-hyped with the price to match. You might also consider Mira in the future, both great options. Keep it up guy :)

    Another notable mention would be the Tortuga Setout Packable daypack. Nice size, lightweight with some decent organisation. I bought one to go with my Tortuga Setout backpack on your recommendation.

    I use a Sea to Summit Ultrasil day pack as a daily pack when traveling and the minimalist in me loves it. It has a 20 liter capacity, weighs 2.5 ounces, and compresses into a small inner pocket/pouch to 3" X 2" X 1.5". It is tiny and weighs nothing. It is made of rip stop nylon and is surprisingly robust. I have used often for three years and it shows almost no wear and tear. The shoulder straps have almost no padding but they are well-designed and surprisingly comfortable. I have carried a 13" laptop in it, jacket, lunch etc. It has almost no organization, but I don't care. it is light, it is comfortable, it has sufficient room, it works. I even find it works great as second bag when I acquire additional items that I want to bring home.

    I'm not sure which is the official brand but HikPro is exactly the same as Gonex. I just got back from a 2 week trip to Taipei, Hong Kong, Brisbane & Denver. I used the GR2 as my primary bag and had the Gonex as my daily bag. it was surprisingly roomy and could fit my 14 in laptop and sleeve and lots of room to spare, also worked well for a day hike and grabbing groceries. I also have the Matadort freerain24 but never pulled it out, since it looks like its a pain to pack back up. I didn't notice of anything got wet during the passing showers because it was quite humid and i had sweaty water bottle inside.
    One bag travel is such a great thing. On my Australia stop, using the e-passport and smart gate, i was from plane door to airport shuttle in 10 min. Granted I was flying business and close to the exit. Same arriving back in Dallas, global entry and the special carry-on only exit was only 5 min from plane to fresh (well hot) air, again close to plane exit.

    Been waiting for this compilation! I always thought you can just use the daily carry bag as packing cubes inside your big bag especially if you're doing one-bag travel with a backpack. It will help with the thickness issue. Thanks for sharing CHase! Your one-liners stopped me mid-yawn so many times. I had a tiring day you see. Give me back my yawns. k bye.

    love you, man! yes, I still use biz cards. great review - as always. I'm a sixty-something, plus-size female and chronic overpacker. Trying to pare down to one-bag travel (summer only). I found a lightweight. packable, day bag I like on amazon.com 'Elementex 35L. 2 zip pockets on front, 2 slip pockets inside, 2 water bottle pockets outside PLUS sternum strap. No padding or computer compartment (we leave computer at home during vactation). I'm packing 'light' for a 10-day summer road trip in a weekender bag. Elementex is packed inside for day trips and picnic gear... thanks for your channel - you make me smile. :-)

    I pack the Deploy YNOT into itself, then use the resulting pocket as a toiletry bag (with plastic bags of course) works perfect, have had no problems! Keep up the brilliant content my good sir :thumbsup:

    • @vespaesian
      @vespaesian 3 года назад

      @Tweed Penguin called space saving. When I travel there is no need to bring a toiletry bag when I have the Deploy. Then when I reach my destination, get this, I unpack the toiletries and use it as an actual backpack 😱

    • @vespaesian
      @vespaesian 3 года назад

      @Tweed Penguin because it saves quite a bit of space. The Deploy is being packed into itself no matter what before being placed in my carryon or checked, right? So why waste more space with a separate plastic bag when I can utilize the space within the Deploy. The whole idea behind it is minimalist travel. That means maximizing every possible available square inch. By not using the Deploy’s pocket I’m wasting roughly 30square inches of space while also having to find another spot for the additional 20 sqr inches the plastic toiletry bag brings.
      I pack extremely light and usually take only a 24ltr backpack for 5 week trips and under. I spend hours maximizing my packing space. This is easily the most efficient toiletry solution available when paired with a secondary packable backpack. (Besides just dangling it on the outside when not going through an airport)
      Either way, at the end of the day, Hike your hike my dude. If you don’t like it, keep it to yourself, especially when you don’t bring anything productive to the discussion.

  • @xnykid
    @xnykid 6 лет назад +1

    So if I use the synapse 25 i can use it for my EDC bag when I get where I’m going. If I travel with a 30L bag I can add a small floppy EDC in it. if I travel with a 35 to 40L bag I can fit a decent EDC with some padding for my mac and lastly, if I travel with the Patagonia MLC 45L monster I can put my synapse 25 in it and do like a Russian stacking doll thing to find my lotion . Is that about right.

    Just got back from a week in paris and used a sling for my EDC and man oh do I miss not having a backpack. Wish this video came out 2 weeks ago lol.
    Anyway, chase! What would you recommend for an EDC camera bag pls. I'm lugging around an 80d and 2 lenses and want some low profile options. Also, if you did a similar video to this for messenger/briefcase/work bags for those of us that can't use backpacks for work based EDC. I'm a traveling engineer and some of the sites I go to literally don't allow backpacks onsite.
    Great video though, and keep em coming!

    How about a daily carry backpack for travel that can also work as a messenger for urban trekking?
    I’m super intrigued by the Kosan pack system and wondering if there are other daily bags I should be looking at that can do both backpack and messenger! I don’t like the front carry of the Kosan system and prefer the back carry of something like the Farpoint 55 (my current travel bag) or even a packable daily carry (haven’t tried this yet...).

When you talk of "a good look" you should be made aware of Erich Fromm's Social Psychology of the 4 different Social Characters in us, one of which is the "Marketing Charakter"... read up on it, you will like it.
