Yeah I get it, for me the chaotic comedy is fun and nostalgic cause it reminds me of old cartons, but that ain't for everyone. Still, knowing the show prolly has enough support at this point, I hope that when it comes out the writing can match it's flare.
I’ve been watching this person slowly build this universe and characters out for years and I know they’ve worked so hard, so it’s SO cool to see them finally flush out a full episode!
For an indie project, simply amazing. I get it not being for everyone, but I think the quirkyness was the main point. And I loved it.

I agree with Nick on the writing. I wanted to like it because it has a lot of good elements but it’s just too all over the place and, yeah, juvenile. I hope that, if they make this a full series, the writing will have more oversight and organization. This pilot has potential and I’d like to see it grow.
Pretty sure that's one of the biggest reasons police forces were created, making sure the poor people don't bother the rich people.

Which is a bit worrisome, but does make for a really good series if it does work out.
Im with Nick on this one, The animation was good but the Writing leaves a lot to be desired.
Yeah. It's fine as a short little one-off, but using the Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, and Lackadaisy pilots for comparison, I still have no real idea what a longer story following these 3 would even be about, and the world itself is pretty lacking in identity. Maybe it's supposed to be episodic, with them just fucking about the city being the premise, but none of the characters or jokes were strong enough to get me hyped up for more.

One exchange of dialogue that really bugged me was the "I want to speak to your manager" and 'I AM the manager!" That was just straight up Tumblr/Reddit ass dialogue where you can tell this didn't come from a professional writers room. Dialogue like that has turned me off from a few indie cartoons, but I hope Ramshackle steers away from that as it goes on because I really like the art style and main cast.
@@cuteskeleton9381Kinda agree for a different reason. I like those references if it makes sense in context to the story being told. Like if the characters were pretending to work in a store to avoid getting caught stealing from it and a Karen walks in. That would make more sense in context, but in this episode why would they have a manager in this situation? It doesn’t make sense why the rich folks would say that in this context outside of it being a reference.
The pilot was fine. I do like the animations.

Not bad art is good reminds me of like a wacky cartoon from CN like Grim Adventures or Flapjack which I love but theres something laking in comparison for me to love this but I did really like the biblically accurate angel twist.
Here's hoping that you guys check out Monkey Wrench at some point.
Personally I agree. Great animation but the writing isn’t my cup of tea. I think it wants to be a show for adults yet it relies on jokes that are more akin to shows for more younger demographic. While that’s not a bad thing it doesn’t seem to have that balance and leaves me confused wondering who is supposed to be the target audience. Adults can be at risk of being alienated by the juvenile humor and younger kids can be at risk of being alienated by the swearing. So in the end the show seems to be trying to attract both audiences and risk losing both. However this is a pilot so it has plenty of time to improve the writing. I hope it succeeds with future episodes!
