  • Xs and Os are the marks of a truly heart-felt love letter. And keeping the love letter alive is the goal of a play with a uniquely qualified cast. Serena Altschul sits down with Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, the "Love Story" costars now appearing on stage in "Love Letters."

Ali Mac Graw is the most beautiful woman (along with Audrey Hepburn) on and off screen. Isn't that incredible how gorgeous she looks with almost 80 years????!!!! She combines the dignity of her mature nature with this freshfulness of her youth (just hear her laughing and watch her talking!) - she just blows my mind! She should be painted in oil and her portrait should be put in the best museum for future generations.

I love Ali McGraw. I read her autobiography, and she is truly an artistic, free spirit.

It's great these two got to work together one more time in a good work before Ryan passed. Great friendship.

I've been wondering, for years, just how much "texting & emailing" personal/private "conversations" have damaged relationships. Miscommunication, misunderstandings, that could be so monumental and counter-productive. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy having the "tool" to send a quick "message" that's informational...or a small "love note. Yet, beyond that, I've chosen (at least trying) to let my loved ones know, that "Just because we CAN communicate or conversate" via our smart phones, doesn't mean we HAVE to... And, I will add this fact: A friend of mine & I texted a series of conversations, and it almost cost us our friendship. Because we finally met for coffee, and discovered that we each "had the tone/meaning" wrong. I wonder how many couples have broken up over this same thing, and NEVER even realized it. I dig the emojis. Yet these little facial expressions can mean one thing to the sender, and another to the receiver... Just a thought

I actually saw this interview the day after I saw Love Story for the first time.

I loved Ryan O'neil . I don't care what they say about this man . Ryan O'neil was one-in-a-million . And he was a 'damn' good actor .
He was Irish and that counts toward his emotional behavior and temperment . It is God who will judge this man , not us .
