I was 4 years old when RUclips was created. So I was there throughout all it's eras pretty much. Granted, I was only ever allowed to watch RUclips if my brothers and cousins were there with me, but I have such fond memories of watching those maze jump scare videos from the late 2000's with them. I have this one hilarious memory where my brothers, cousins, and I were watching a news report video and we all thought we saw a shadow down the corridor, so we all simultaneously leaned forward to get a better look, only for a zombified Michael Jackson to jump scare us. We all started screaming and jumping away from the computer, even running out of the room in fear, with our parents laughing their asses off once they understood what happened. that's still one of my fondest memories with my brothers and my cousins. RUclips was one of the things that brought us all together when we were so different. While I enjoy RUclips videos now, sometimes I really miss when people just made videos simply to have fun and be silly or whatnot and not just do it for the sake of views or to make money. Not that that's inherently a bad thing, but it makes me sad that a lot of people nowadays just start RUclips to get on that "RUclips grind" and follow trends that may not actually be fun FOR THEM. Again, not every RUclipsr is like that, that just seems to be a pattern I'm seeing a lot with modern day RUclips.
