Who is giving this a thumbs down? When the chorus hits, if you don’t start shaking your arms and smile, you are dead and don’t deserve music. Can’t wait for the new album.
I really felt this song and imagery. Loved it. I saw your Facebook post and know this must of been hard to re live but Im glad you could get it off your chest!
So many new musicians discovered over the years because of Home & Away. There really should be an end of season album with the featured musicians released.
I'm glad they're doing something different for their sophmore album so they're not stuck doing 1 genre of music. That being said, they should definitely cover more ground on their 3rd album
I liked Capacity, but was hoping it was the outlier. Looks like the entire album will be synth pop, aiming for a mass audience. I can't fault them for that, but I also feel like I lost a friend...
Agreed, I wanted at least some harder rockin' songs, I would have been okay with that. There's nothing wrong with change and a new sound, but I don't think this sound fits them.
Lukewarm on the new stuff. Guppy had something really unique going on. This is different, not a bad thing though. This sounds more in line with the trajectory music has been going
Anyone know if the band has done any interviews explaining the 180 on their sound from Pop-punk to Kohl's-Pop? I'm so baffled and sad about the new direction. They had such a unique sound in Guppy and could have dominated that genre but now they seem to be rushing into an already flooded genre full of forgettable tunes that blend from one artist to another.
Really late answer here, but this article explains most of it www.google.com/amp/s/www.stereogum.com/2043213/charly-bliss-young-enough-interview/franchises/interview%3famp=1
I'm bummed to hear that you no longer have a drummer. I mean, I see that Sam is still listed as part of the band- but you've released two new songs with 100% fake drums. Disappointing.
@@caitlinlanahan1903 Hahaha! That's a funny joke. What gave you that impression? If "Capacity" was played by a human, it was on an electronic drum kit (read: "fake"). If "Chatroom" was recorded by a human, every single drum hit was quantitized, time-aligned, & replaced with a fake sample.
Well now I don't know. I feel a bit gross for so quickly dismissing this new direction. Who am I to dictate their creativity. The music video is actually quite brilliant and the song is not bad at all; sadly it's just not in my palet. Therefore, I retract my dismissal and remain a fan. I'm just grateful they made Guppy and I'm happy to see this band is living. I wish the best for them.
0 outta 2 so far, disappointing, but who am I to complain, looking at the comments and number of likes on the video it's what the fans want, just not me.
Es Radio Doble Nueve
Lima, Peru! XD
Still such a great video

this song is insanely good, kinda too much to grasp on the first listen, but only gets better with time
This is phenomenal. WOW.
AMAZING Video. Love the contrast between the music and the visuals. Great song, great video, great band.
love this song forever
Eva, thank you for writing this song. I experienced the same thing.
Between this and Capacity, I'm so pumped for more new music! It's different from Guppy but it's still really damn solid. I adore both of these songs
he fuck wit this heavy
Love the mv so creative.
Amazing video
lol look at all these men complaining that your work doesn't cater to them and missing the message of the song. spring cleaning started early
Don't see any complaints at all. Get your toxic ass out of here.

SUPER FUCKING GOOD BOP YET AGAIN
Trying to stay on point here, but I just found out earlier today that you are coming back to Oregon!

Amazing.
Sounds fucking awesome as always guys! Excited about the new songs!
Much love from MO ❤️

Me gusta le música
Good band guys. Always good to see something different come out. Hang in there guy, the best is yet to come!
another absolute banger of a track, another group of whiny grown men complaining online about a lack of "real instruments"
Holy crap! Awesome!
wowza
Can't stop crying to this song
Amazing video for an amazing song. Love it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is FANTASTIC! I can't wait for the new album!!!
At first I was like "Aww. The guys aren't in this", but then..
I feel they came in to rescue them

so well written and catchy. much more memorable than ur old stuff, huge improvement
Loving the new direction, production is fantastic!
New favorite song by them. Love this band ♡

Criminally underappreciated band!

New favourite song

Blissful experience, while listening to this song! Does anybody have a similar feeling? 😉
She's so lucky she ran into her band mates at the end there
❤️❤️❤️
Haha, I love this
Midsommar vibes
right
Cherry tomatoes for all.
Tonight on "Good Cult Bad Cult"
Yo I'm too dumb to understand this somebody help me
She wants to be adored by the cult leader. But at the end she sees him in a new light.
“Everybody knows you're the second coming”- what does she mean? Are the lyrics just personal cause I don’t really get it.
The "second coming" is a reference to Jesus' second coming. Basically a way of saying "you're the shit".
Really really powerful song
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Weird vid, but I dig the music. Looking fwd to the album!
MATE THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN CAPACITY
Song is just ok. I like the other singles a lot more but damn this video was amazing. Did not see that coming. Holy shit.
Like Paramore but not obnoxious
the cult leader dude looks like my eating disorder specialist
Y'all bin waching Riverdale?
Songs fun and all but this music vid on some midsummer cult like shit I wonder

This is horrible. Whoever told them to get into the studio, turn down the guitars and turn up the synthy hooks? Needs fucking fired.

Exactly.
Hey the drums on both these songs were recorded live by a human being !

Joshua Watkins the drummer is my boyfriend ! But don’t feel bad he gets mistaken for a machine quite frequently :)
@@caitlinlanahan1903 Damn, send him my condolences on being replaced in the band!
Eeeehhhhhhh nnnnooooooo no.
nice song, I don't like the new lower vocals though
I love pop songs. But... not THIS kind of pop song. I liked Capacity but am underwhelmed by this one. I miss the indie rock sound.
New direction is awful. I'll always love the first album and they were amazing live but this is worse than Paramore from Riot to After Laughter.
They aren't doing it for you
After Laughter is an amazing album. Just enjoy stuff
Bye, Felecia
Sorry you don’t like it mate. Maybe someone else will satisfy?
Lost a fan
see ya
bye bich

Clearly anti-patriarchal. That makes it critical pedagogy, a Marxist concept.
dieselphiend no Marxism no gulag no cultural revolution
the WORST , those annoying vocals , GROSS.
