- Zambian President Edgar Lungu says corruption in his country is being politicized and that he is working to improve the country's legal framework. He spoke with VOA's Peter Clottey in New York.
President Lungu buys fertilizer abroad which normally costs $7,000 per ton. He says he buys it @ K16,000 per ton. That sounds like corruption. A bridge that is supposed to cost $2m cost the Zambian people $18m. A road supposed to cost $800m costs us the citizens $1.2bn. Where did $400m go? If Lungu doesn't know where it went, then he is not fit to be our leader.

This man Lungu is a disgrace. I am ashamed that he was given the liberty to run around with his goons persecuting innocent Zambian people. Thank God the people ousted him by using the power of the vote. If I were him, I would hide in a corner somewhere. I wonder where he got his "law degree"? Aaaah from night school which he attended for two weeks. He is not articulate and has limited grammar. It has been known that those of little learning resort to bullying others!
