Seriosuly! The graphics, quests, soundtrack, gameplay- it's perfect! It really needs a new sequel. A sequel that has both the quests and a fucking live mode. Wanna build a house? You need to go to a market (preferably not a rabbit hole) or the forest to gather material. Want food? Hunt! Wanna become the next blacksmith out of quest? Learn it!
This game has so much potential and it's being wasted! It's MySims all over again that could have been the next animal crossing for people who don't have a switch.

It was such a trip down the memory lane x)

If you heard about Stardew Valley, it's pretty similar to it, but besides of the farm, you get to do the autopsy, cremate or bury people, customize their graves, make zombies who will help you, run a tavern, explore a dungeon, make hamburgers from some certain type of suspicious meat, there's also a Witcher easter egg, hehe
Also there's some plot which is quite nice and chill music. Hope you'll notice that comment and try it out 🙏🏻

  • @nikolozgilles

ok so i love this game it was my childhood but i will not hold back on the part that i think sucks: EVERY SINGLE GAME YOU PLAY IS IN THE EXACT SAME KINGDOM. If you start a new ambition you just go back to square one in the exact same kingdom and you have to build all the same stuff all over again. I would love if after you complete the first ambition you get different kingdoms to play around in with different layouts and themes. Like a snow kingdom, a mountain kingdom, a swamp kingdom, a forest kingdom, a beach kingdom, an island kingdom, a desert kingdom, a tundra kingdom, etc, and you go through the ambitions to unlock them. And in the different types of kingdoms you could have new hero types, new quests, new buildings, etc. Like if youre in the snow kingdom one of the quests could be about gathering enough firewood to help the peasants survive, or organizing a snow festival. How cool would that be!!!
And no, DO NOT lock them behind dlcs because that would suck

  • @Iyasenu

Probably the biggest gripe I had with this game was travel time.
Your Sims are in NO hurry to get anywhere. Unlike the Sims 3 where you had Running and bicycles or other transportation modes, Sims here just walk everywhere.
Wizards get a teleleportation spell at some point, but everyone else gets to trundle about on foot.
If I had to deal with a Dedicated Merchant going from Town to Beach to sail on a trading trip, go back to town to deliver the goods just to decide to do another daily task to sail to trade AGAIN and make me walk all the way back to the beach... Never again.
Buuut, that's what testingcheats is for! "Teleport Here" is such a godsend.

As a very big RPG fan, I absolutely adored this game and played it for hours. Your criticisms of a lack of freedom never really bothered me, for I enjoyed helping my heroes grow and improve. The slow-pace of a game was also a great boon, as simply spending time as my heroes during a long quest was great.
However, I did get bored of exploring the same kingdom after twenty or so hours, and there was a very apparent quality difference between many quests and natures (I forgot the term, but some natures were almost fatal flaws, while others were near-perfect).
I would love a new game with at least two more kingdom maps and perhaps a more interconnected story; some of the quests had REALLY good stories, with the one of the man with the cursed sword making me tear up.

I have a feeling that EA would just=
Makes Sims medieval (but can only play as the king), DLC Knighthood, DLC Medieval stuff pack, DLC Peasant Pleasantries, DLC War and Peace, DLC Witchcrafting stuff pack, DLC Dungeons and Magic (no dragons, that's another DLC), etc....
And each one is the same price as the base game on release. All packs missing something essential, playability.

I can't afford another game, so maybe I could mod like crazy, and wish non broken scenarios would occasionally pop up like quests that would drastically upset your game. Something like become healer to the king requires magic, but there is a chance that you'll get a popup saying you failed to heal the king's consort when your magic backfired. Now he's calling for your head. You must move and begin a rags to riches with no skills scenario.

What would be AMAZING is if people like the monarchs had the last name Landgraab and everyone’s last names are ones from the mainline sims. Almost like a prequel

This IS the best Sims game. I recall enjoying it enough that I would honestly buy just an updated version with bugfixes if it had a 2011-appropriate price tag.
I loved having all my hero sims in their respective jobs and being able to switch between them, and know they were all involved in everything going on even if I wasn't playing them (I don't recall if they actually were though or if the game just gave me that illusion).
Playing a handful of important people in a more structured environment was great fun for me as someone who prefers having clear goals in games. I also really enjoyed playing The Sims: Get A Life on GameCube for that reason! Tbh I was disappointed when I bought my first real Sims pc game and realized it wasn't at all the game I was used to... I'm still waiting for them to add a real "story mode" to The Sims 4. Think scenarios, but much more involved such that you have a storyline and challenges for your Sim's entire life!

I saw this game years ago and wished to play it but I couldn't afford it. Imagine my surprise when a few years ago, my sister hands me a card on my birthday telling me to check my origin account.
She got me The Sims Medieval Special Edition, which included the Pirates and Nobles Pack as well.
    Best birthday gift ever!!!😂😂😂😂

I actually remember this game from back in the day. I think own it too on Origin. By to way Isn't Crusader Kings 3 pretty close to Sims Medieval so if people have an itch this kind of game I would recommend that.
