    Great video, followed all steps, but when I run the bootutil64e.exe, I get the message “cannot initialize driver”. I did the -nic=1 -defcfg and also tried -all -defcfg, but I still got “cannot initialize adapter” message. I also tried deleting/uninstalling the adapter in device manager and scanned for hardware changes and still nothing. Also tried doing the command again after doing device manager part, and also still does not work. My adapter is “Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V”. I used the latest version 29.1, but then also tried version 28.3 afterwards but I got the same results. Anything else I could try? Also, I looked at the website and it has a list of compatible adapters, but I checked every single version and my adapter is in neither version…is there an alternative software intel has for my specific model? Or am I just screwed and need to buy a new motherboard?

      use version 28.3. also delete from device manager. also disable fast startup _in windows_ (not bios). remove ethernet cable.

    Hello I followed your instructions, but the cmd returned an error said "unable to write default configuration to EEPROM''. My adapter mode is intel Ethernet connection(17) i219-v. I am sure I followed every step you showed in the video and tried several times(including delete the adapter in device manager). Looking for your reply, have a good day.

    Hello I hope I can get some help with my problem I have the Intel(R) Thernet Connection (7) I219-V so like yours and then I downloaded the Intel Ethernet Preboot 28.3 version like you did for windows and I ran the CMD in admin, entered the file location and removed the ethernet cable, when I tried to run the install.bat I got "Aborting installation because driver already exists. I'm working with an Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V and I've installed the latest PREBOOT.zip. Whenever I open cmd as admin to change the directory to the installed Winx64 folder to install the .bat file it mentions that it aborted the installation because the driver already exists yet it's still showing code 10 even after system restart. Following up with bootutilw64e.exe -nic=1 -defcfg and/or -all -defcfg yeilds: 1 (Cannot initialize adapter) is there anything else I can try to do?

    It's crazy how you explaining that you don't want to explain how to enter in things into CMD because it's basic computer literacy took longer than if you would've just told people following along put cd first then space and copy the path. And even in the comments you're still telling people to look it up instead of just helping them. Like why even make this video to help people if you're going to be a dick about the little things too. lol

    • @izzylie
      @izzylie  Месяц назад

      because the topic of this video is how to re-flash an ethernet adapter nand, not how to use command prompt. by that logic I should also show how to install a browser, connect to internet, download files and unpack them. if you are eager to learn basic computer literacy, there are plenty of instructional videos online, i guess after a couple hour long videos and a few weeks of doing everything through cmd you will familiarize yourself enough to understand how it actually works, not just parrot the command you see on-screen and having no clue what went wrong if you mistype something.
      but I appreciate my viewers time and will not waste it on something they most probably already know.
      this is not kindergarten, educate yourself

    • @eduardorodriguez8183

      @@izzylie I already knew how to use CMD, still though I see people in the comments asking and it really isn't that hard to answer them you're literally just going out of your way to be a asshole about it. Why even make a tutorial video to help people if you're going to be gatekeep simple instructions you easily could've included in the video without making it any longer by 30 seconds? You just had to say what you're doing so people can copy you. But you are actually just being a asshole about it for no reason. It's a bad look and you just seem really petty for no valid reason.

      Which comment exactly, I have 3 of yours in this thread so far? I strongly believe that stupidity of everyone has to be publicly displayed, and that's why I never remove comments, I actually had to extract yours from spam where they go automatically, so everyone can behold.
      You may think what you want, but the idea behind my solution videos is to personally test if a proposed solution works or not, and showcase that. not educate on what I consider basic PC knowledge. RUclips is not made for kids, and I'm not holding anyone by the hand to make baby steps.
      You are free to make your own videos though, educate on CMD ot whatever. Good luck.
