    Pigs have no adequate sweat glands. They need mud to regulate their body temperature. They can sunburn quite badly as well. Feel cooler soon, piggies!

    Lovely views from the drone of the beautiful, beautiful but fast disappearing English countryside. It's heartbreaking. All the woods, farms and small streams which used to surround my home in Cheshire have been buried under endless housing estates. And it's the same all over the country with over-cultivated fields, industrial estates and houses. Anyway, best wishes with all your interesting projects. 👍

    Mapperton Hall is mind boggling with so many homes and buildings on the property to restore and upgrade in addition to other utility buildings and it is amazing pasture lands to think of all that your responsible for and maintain is just as mind boggling but also exciting . so re wilding is just another way to say we don't have time to maintain the landscaping good ill use that when my lawn gets scraggly and mangey.

    Julie here is a honest and serious question ⁉️. This is coming from a fellow American so maybe you can understand why I asked this question. WHY do the English toilets almost always have a boxed wall built behind the toilet with the flush handle coming out of that instead of just having the flush handle attached to the toilet like we have here? I'm actually surprised to see this done on this brand new bathroom install.

    • @beautifully_wonderfullymade
      @beautifully_wonderfullymade Год назад +1

      I would be assuming it is due to installing a toilet on an old house that didn't have one in its original plan. It is also in keeping with the old antique style. I would think that new builds in England would have toilets like you are familiar with in the US. In Australia we have high water efficiency toilets. I couldn't for the life of me work out how a child could possibly drown in the toilet and why Americans kept saying I needed a safety lock on my toilet. Seriously it's a long way down the bowl to get to the waterline in Australia and then there isn't much water there. Having been to the US now, I understand why toilet safety locks may be necessary. Every country is different. I like the style of toilet that they have gone with, they have kept with the age of the build.

    Instead of mowing the garden to make walkable space, please consider just mowing to make some walking PATHS. Pollinators and critters will thank you, and it will continue to be beautiful.

    • @pamelavans5116
      @pamelavans5116 Год назад +2

      I was just thinking the same thing! As long as the path was wide enough so that ticks ( with the threat of Lyme disease) weren't an issue, I think it would look beautiful ( bee-u-tiful!) , be great for pollinators and other wildlife, and be very romantic. Perhaps a long sweeping path, with a branch or two, maybe leading to a park bench, or a shady picnic spot. If I were renting it, the intrigue of paths would definitely be a feature I would appreciate! Thanks for another great video!
